We were well respected thanks to the presidents before Marcos Sr.. Our economy was also doing well in the first years of the Marcos presidency. It came crashing when Marcos decided to steal billions. Enough of historical revisionism. The Filipinos deserve better

Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, in an interview with the Philippine Star on March 25, 2012, shared her experience as a speech writer to President Marcos: "One time, the Secretary of Justice forgot to tell me that the President had requested him to draft a speech that the President was going to deliver before graduates of the law school. And then, on the day the President was to deliver the speech, he suddenly remembered because Malacañang was asking for the speech, so he said, 'This is an emergency. You just have to produce something.' And I just dictated the speech. He liked long speeches. I think that was 20 or 25 pages. And then, in the evening, I was there, of course. President Marcos recited the speech from memory."

Eh nung panahon ni Marcos yan ang gusto niya gawin sa Bataan noon kaya nga ginawa yung Bataan Nuclear Plant, para yan sa Subic Industrial Zone na sana nandiyan ang mga pabrika ng Amerika, Japan imbis na sa iba ibang bansa, Tingnan nyo ang Thailand, Malaysia andami nilang produkto ang Pilipinas hindi mapasok ng mga investors kasi yang mga Dilawan masyadong protectionist

Yang golden age economy, bullshit yan, yang San Juanico Bridge isa ngang malaking skandalo yan sa Japan kase binayaran lang nila ang mga Marcos na kunin mga Japanese contractors. Yang Bataan Nuclear Plant, pinasira yan kase tinayo yan sa active na earthquake fault, tsaka winaladas ni Marcos at ng kanyang cronies ang yaman ng Pilipinas kaya nung umopo si Cory - ang value ng peso ay mas maliit kesa nung umopo si Marcos. May pa subic2 kapa jan eh naging mayaman lang yan pagkatapos umalis ang mga Amerikano sa Subic, pinag repurpose lang nila yung iniwan ng mga Kano at dahil yun sa initiatiba ni Gordon at di ni Marcos, matagal ng wala sa Pilipinas si Marcos nung naging commercial district yan nung 1992. Di naman nagsasabi na banal ang mga Cojuanco, corrupt din sila pero di rin banal si Marcos. Tsaka wag kang magsabi ng base sa research kung di mo naman talaga niresearch.

Papanong hindi nagtagal sa pwesto ayaw na ngang umalis kaya idineklara ang Martial law para siya nalang ang nakaupo.Magaling talaga siya lalu na sa mga documents kaya nailabas niya ang yaman ng Pilipinas at nai deposito sa ibang bansa,habang ang mga pilipino ay naghihikahos sila naman ay nagpapasasa sa sarap sa buhay hanggang ngayon...hindi kayo na brainwash totoo lahat ang mga nangyari at may mga court's records lalu na ang mga nabiktima ng human right violation noon panahon ng Martial law.
