My favorite of his character's is SGT. WEAVER in FORCE TEN FROM NAVARONE. His Knife Duel at the end with "Richard Jaws Kiel" is Classic....Weaver, " I just want some Equal Consideration Here ".... Mallory ( Quint-Robert Shaw), " We're going to go blow up a bridge & then if we're very very lucky we can all go home" !

Ya know every time someone says someone like Weathers is " underrated " they really cheapen his body of work and basically ignore the facts, that hes a well received actor critically, a fan favourite and a director. Me personally i loved his work in the Mandalorian, very likeable, but he'll always be remebr3d for Predator

A met Carl 2 years ago at a convention in North Carolina and brought him art I drew of him and he signed it akobg after I got my photo with him. He was like no other. A great man indeed. I miss him.😢

This movie was silly but great fun, typical Joel Silver production. Great action, funny dialogs and Craig T. Nelson gives an awesome bad guy !

😢 A very sad day. I looked up to this great man during my teens while weight lifting. A huge loss for all of us who grew up in the 70s and 80s. Love you Apollo.

He lived down the street from my parents and I would see him whenever I visited my parents. I just saw him a month before or so. Crazy to think he left us. RIP Carl. You were a great one and this one really hurts.

What a class-act and what a man. Every time he showed up in a movie, I was instantly happy to see him, and the movie was better for his involvement. RIP Carl Weathers

Carl was a great actor! I've been watching Rocky again a few months ago, and it still works great! Astonishing movie, a very interesting story, and great performances! Not only Sly, but Apollo Creed with his smartness, energy, and charm was one of the main pillars of this success. He passed away but left in his movies an impossible-to-erase trail.

Rest in Peace Purple Knight … Carl came back to St. Aug when I was a Sophomore and spoke to us in the gym. He gave us all inspirational words as he donned his St. Aug high school bomber jacket. I’ll never forget it. My condolences go out to his family 🙏🏽🕊️

Not only was he a great actor, so many talked about what a gentle soul he was on this earth, and we need more people like that especially in today's world. Our loss is Heaven's gain. He died "peacefully in his sleep". I didnt follow his life so i dont know how he was as a person, but as an actor i loved him. He had charisma and he was a great actor. R.I.P Carl Weathers.

old people never die 'peacefully in their sleep'. that's a myth. what happens is, someone slams a door or the telephone starts ringing or you have a bad dream, and you are jarred awake so suddenly that you suffer a painful heart attack and drop dead.

I had the angst to watch Rocky with Apollo back in the 80s. By the time I finally had the chance to watch the movies on a VCR, I felt all that magic portrayed by the movie theater and watched it a few more times. Always with the same enthusiasm. Thank you, Apollo. You are part of the magic of the 80s that will never come back but stays in our hearts.
