cuz hes a punk irl and anyone with a lick of intelligence knows that the way to success with black women is to vilify black men. This goes back to slavery days with the willie lynch letter. turn our women against us by depicting us as either evil or weak. Its fine tho, once diddy is arrested we wont have to worry about tyler anymore.

This should be more about the audience behavior than the actors and the characters they're portraying. It's to the point that it has less to do with the actor's performance but more increasingly the audience reaction with some having the inability to differentiate reality from fiction. I believe the Micheal Ealy take is perfect example. It appears you're side door blaming the actor's performance in "For Colored Girls" for often unnecessary attacks against their real life persona and it's particularly unfair and unhealthy for these Brothas to be vilified for simply doing their job.

Great Villains are the Staw that stirs the Drink in good films. #2. In reality actors WANT to do diverse work, but typecasting is a Bitch, and its hard to break out of it and also some character actors just don't look like "Good Guys" or "Romantic leads" they just dont (and Michael Ealy deserved better). #3. Going back to tyler Perry his Villans have no Nuance, no real Depth to them and it damaged that actors credibility
