I've never seen someone more connect with an audience with that kind of conviction and warmth. Performed not just sung. What a gift on top of the worked-for obvious skill. She's special.

I will tell you Sam, that I have seen Many, Many, singing auditions on talent shows (I'm 81 so I've been around), and this is one of my all time favorites. This young woman checks All the boxes. She is affable, vulnerable, lovely, incredibly funny, and an extraordinary talent. I agree with Amanda; that's my all time favorite version of this classic song. And it appears Simon feels the same. And it's not even a song he likes. I'm pulling for her to win. But I'm also hoping people in charge at the West End saw this, and give her the break she deserves. She's got the voice and the audience (voting) behind her, so it comes down to choosing the best songs. I'm hoping she sings "She Used to Be Mine" at some stage of the competition. She already looks like the Waitress in the show. Best wishes, Sam.

@@lorenamunoz3200 Hi Loren. Since you took the time to look up my favorite West End song (She Used to Be Mine), here's my favorite performance of that Incredible song by Lucie Jones: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dH-Fk6epkr3AhMo.htmlsi=lQs6r2D7LeUSZM5e I just melt every time I hear her sing this. On a side note, as an 18 year old teen, Lucie was also on BGT about 15 years ago. And like Sydnie, she longed to be on the West End. Fastfoward 15 years and she is a massive Star there. Wishing the same for Sydnie.

@@kayhaydon3022 When Sydnie was interviewed after her semi-final performance of "My Way", she said she was so nervous she was unsure if she would be able to perform. And then she just hit a massive homerun. She is the best singer I have seen in all my years of watching shows like this. I've watched this audition and "My Way" dozens of times, and I'm still blown away each time. The problem with shows like this is that sentimentality often overrides talent when people vote. She doesn't have to win this for her career to take off. I wish her great success and happiness. Let's Have It!!

From what I understand Sydnie had been taking courses in pursit of becoming a personal trainer. It was time to put her dreams behind her and get on with life. BGT was going to be the end or hopefully the extension of her dream. This is why you see such pure joy in her face when Amanda pushes on that "Golden Buzzer". Unadulterated, pure joy is hard to come by on these days. That's why I find myself watching this 3-5 times a day just to see the shock on her face, then that broad ear to ear smile when she realizes her dream isn't coming to an end. It's not over, the audience loves her. I cannot even fathom how that must have felt. How often do we get to see complete and utter joy on someone's face?

It’s good to because in her 23-27year days, she would have to be in hip-hop or just pop songs. I heard some of her pop and it didn’t suit her well. It didn’t magnify her vocal range! She needs to be in Big Orchestra Theaters singing masterfully!

Imagine thinking of doing the first song you learned to sing because you liked that song ONLY to find out the 'chief judge' [Simon Cowell...and you know just how critical Simon can be] hates your song. If you watch the interaction between Cowell [his looking at Sydnie over his glasses with that Simon scowl] and Sydnie at the beginning of the song and THEN to win Simon over takes TALENT! Sydnie has AMAZING vocal skills, the likes of which puts Sydnie up there with the well known deva's! Sydnie sings a story, a rarity. And you're right Samantha about being heard, but Sydnie 'compelled' being heard by singing that songs story. Enjoyed the video - thanks for sharing. Cheers...

Hi Samantha, hope you are well. I saw this video when it first came out and I was stunned. Most beautiful version of the song I've ever heard. For another reaction, I am highly recommending Tori Holub, a 20-year-old female vocalist from Minnesota. She is also a musician and audio engineer. She sings everything including originals, but her most compelling performances are those of the Carpenters. You would be in for the surprise of a lifetime. If you are familiar with the carpenters, please just react to We've Only Just Begun, collaboration with Tori and Jim Wilkas. If you are not familiar, perhaps play Karen Carpenter's original at the beginning of the reaction or just listen on your own before you react to Tori. It is most impressive when you know the original. Thanks and peace out.
