Sid's entrance at Survivor Series '96 is one of the best ever. That narrow Garden entrance way, fist bumping fans, and yelling "Who's the man?!" So iconic. Seeing him so over that night was great. He was always underrated, so seeing him get his due was such a cool moment.

Sid was 100% correct... He was more over than Shawn when they were working together.
a Sid hall of fame speech would be fn epic AF.
I was there that night and it was weird how the MSG crowd were booing Shawn and cheering Sid. The best part though was after Sid won and the PPV went off the air and everyone was filing out, they kept playing Sid's music. It was like an afterglow moment where you're sharing in Sid's victory as you left.

@@txmetalhead82xkAnd good for him. Sid gets a bad rap from a lot of people just because he wasn’t head over heels in love with pro wrestling like so many others in the business, but he viewed wrestling as a way to make a decent living and I don’t see anything wrong with that. He wasn’t gonna push himself beyond his limits and still be wrestling in his late 40s, he was aware of the shady business practices of McMahon and other promoters, and how they’d make promises that they wouldn’t keep, so he always kept one foot out of the business and was smart enough to know when to get out for his own benefit.

And was also involved in a 3rd essentially main event match between the two at 11, being at ringside for Michaels and Diesel. So 92, 95 and 97 he was either one of the top guys, or involved with them. Not bad at all. Then if not for the Arn Anderson scissors incident in 93....he woulda won the World Title at Starrcade (ironically enough beating Vader, the guy he replaced 3 years later in 96), WCW's biggest show. So he was on top really for BOTH companies for better part of 5 years, that's pretty impressive.
Sid should be in the hall of fame because he has Half the Brain that we do

Sid was a two time WWF Champion. During his run there he should have had all the belts, Tag Team and Intercontinental TItle. Maybe even the Royal Rumble.
He's one of those guys I'm more interested in listening to then the regulars you normally get in these kind of interviews. Because you rarely hear from him. It's not like Jericho and Cornette where they are in demand because of their ability to tell stories and their inability to NOT be a cartoon respectively
He is one of the greatest of all time he deserves to be in the hall of Fame long time ago
His "Look" is unmatched. In this category he goes down as the greatest in my opinion. The scowl, the eyes, dripping in sweat with the leather vest. Man imagine him walking in to a 7-11. He can go to the front of the line!
Oh man, is this full interview available somewhere? Always love a Sid shoot!
I really enjoyed the match Sid and Shawn had at Survivor Series 96
To say that he looks astoundingly ridicolous with that cap would be far by the biggest understatenent in the history of the human species.
Sid is the only guy I ever recall catching lightning twice in the same bottle.
Sid is massive!!
I loved Sid and the Psycho character was the sh1t. It was cool to see crazy Sid unload on HBK. Loved it when he hit HBK with the camera.
Being a fellow Arkansan Sid has always been one of my favorites! Get to meet him at an independent show in December and so excited! One of my favorite Sid memories is an episode of Raw where he wrestled Scott Hall and when he did his Razor Ramon pyro pose Sid ran THROUGH the pyro like a monster in a movie and drilled Hall from behind and hit a powerbomb for a quick win. It was such an incredible moment
How is he not in the HOF
Sid's _Survivor Series_ entrance was one of the best moments of his entire wrestling career. The other one was where he tried to do a backstage promo with _JR_ , he forgot his lines and JR said, "We're Live Pal". The last one was his legendary promo in WCW when he said to _The Outsiders_ , "You're only half the man that I am - and I have half the brain that you do". 😂😂😂😂
He wasn’t used to his/WWF full potential. His first run was the best with that entrance music eliminating Hogan from the Rumble. Shame he got injured in WCW because he might have been able to have another run.
I love Sid
The match with Shawn at SS 96 was Sid's best IMO !!!
I miss the Masters of the Powerbomb. They were a great tag team.
The og psycho sid very underrated wrestler had the look and size loved his promos as well good heel from the 1990s he looks good to doesn't really age as all.❤
He is one of many WCW guys who turned the WWF system around in the late 90s. I can list them for you. One was Big Van Vader, undertaker, one was Steve Austin, one was Brian pillman, Cactus jack, the only real homegrown star they had was Dwayne Johnson
1996 wwf was struggling but the main eventers were even better than today s stable , it felt like competition everybody wanted top spot hungry
ultimate warrior would had turned heel at ss96 if he didnt leave but sid was so popular even a strong heel move at ss96 didnt turn him heels.
Sid loves his button down shirts.
Didn't know sid was a cowboys fan 👍.I knew I liked him for a reason.
Loved Sid!!!
Sycho Sid is from West Memphis, Arkansas. So, like The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin abd Shawn Michaels, he does have the western culture. Infact, once upon a time during the New Generation Era, Sycho Sid did dominate the roster once. At 6 ft 9in, he did crush his opponents. Now, Triple H is thd COO, but i still remember in 1996/97, that he got beat up by Sycho Sid, even before he could walk to the ring.
Sid in ecw was the best❤
This is Michael Rooker and I dont care what you say!!
Sid vicious was awesome, if it wasn't for hogan and his bs politics a lot of guys would've been much bigger. I always used sid in wrestling games as a kid and I always hammered on any game I played that had hulk specially with andre the giant too 😂always booted hulks ass with andre

To this day that interviewer is still asking about Sids memories from survivor series.
Original plans were for Warrior to work a program with the Bulldog culminating at SummerSlam in a powerhouse match. He was then going to be booked at the Survivor Series in an elimination tag match. It was going to be Wildman, Bart Gunn, The Stalker and Ultimate Warrior vs Hunter, Goldust, Fake Diesel and Fake Razor. Warrior’s entire team would be eliminated one by one then he’d be left against 4 men and he’d single handedly eliminate all 4 opponents clean. At that same PPV, originally Vader was going to go over HBK for the belt. Following night on Raw and because of Warrior’s performance at the SS, Vince would announce Gorilla has made the Warrior the number one contender to challenge Vader at IYH: It’s Time were plan was for Warrior to put over Vader clean to hype the Vader vs HBK rubber match at the RR 97. That’s as far as plans were for in 1996.
Sid probably requested that the interviewer phrase it as “ Pitched “
The master and ruler of the world
i enjoyed how it went down. but to go back and roll with the original plans, it surely would have made sense for Vader to destroy HBK at Summerslam. Climb the mountain again, only to come up short in the Garden for Survivor Series against Vader, and then finally topple Vader in the Alamodome. It definitely 'could' have worked. But again, Im with Sid. Im glad it played out how it did. He worked himself and earned it........twice.
I heard HBK didn’t want to put over Vader as champion hence why Vince made the switch to have Sid as champion.

It wasn't so much that Shawn didn't to put Vader over as champ so much as the matches just weren't there and Shawn also didn't like taking the Vader potatoes hence why Vince called the audible to Sid.

Sid is VERY with it in terms of cognitive function. Why do the boys call him dumb and slow?
Dude that is the greatest entrance that is one of the best matches of all time. People talk about that stupid Hulk Hogan match that's garbage with the Rock, by far Shawn Michaels vs Sycho Sid, the heel being the Babyface, that match kills it because that Madison Square Garden crowd was so smart, they hated Shawn Michaels and love psycho Sid and it's apparent from the time he comes out
This dude is terrifying.
Vince McMahon is a HELL of a boss if he strikes fear in his employees 25+ years later, especially those guys who are 6'9"+... I'm not saying what he did was right, but he did 'win' the Attitude Era and turned the WWF into a household name for years to come...
whats the deal with Sycho Sid? Is his leg fully repaired?

With how well he was moving around the ring in RAW 1000 (about ten years ago) and the week or so before that in his match with Heath Slater, I'd say it's close to 100%. I say close to 100% because after a horrific injury like that, a leg never fully heals to what it used to be.
With Rahm Emanuel's brother about to become the head of the WWE, I am ready to gloat over and over how the 1996 Survivor Series was a match made for Clinton re-election. HBK idol Elvis was also Bill's idol and Sid was from his home state of Arkansas.
