Freightliner Cascadia is my favorite truck of all time! I’m glad it’s in American Truck Simulator! Can’t wait to become a trucker when I’m older!

Only with W900 you have king of the road feeling.

The most likely source for coolant loss is the filler cap. The seal gets compressed, looses pressure and coolant. Love your videos.

Rain X makes a windshield washer fluid you can buy at WalMart.

I’m in my last week of training at my company. Next week I’ll get assigned my own truck, I get a little bit of a say in what I get, but it also depends on what’s available. I’ve been driving on of the older freightliners with my trainer, I hope if I end up getting a freightliner, it’s one of the newer ones like this. I got to try one of them out when I first got to orientation and it was so much nicer. And the grill design looks waaaay better than the older ones.

Hey Rusty. So I used rainx in my window wash tank for a long time. Got some ceremic auto coating for paint and windows. Works great, lasts a long time not matter how many washes I do. Also switched to blue window wash fluid. The ceremic coating I used is called Shine Armour. Turtle wax also now sells ceremic spray.

He finally said the interior is from mercedes. But it looks cool

@@sam77mbnet Every european Mercedes Driverr ecognize a lot of stuff from the Actros MP4. Steering wheel, bord computer, all of the levers, the air climate.... It's the same.

Freightliner, nice tractor, lots of cab room, as for the coolant level, the Cascadia I drove was always on the low mark (or close to it), tried to top it off a couple times and it always found it's way back down to the Low Mark, I checked for leaks, none, so I just left it, never an issue after that but I did keep an eye on it just the same. When you see that much Duck Tape used around the tractor like that TRC, you can be pretty certain the driver before you was a Jerry-Rigger and a warning sign to go through that whole truck with a fine toothed comb (front to back) and take pictures. It's called cover your butt-method. Nice trip, thanks for the video. :)

My paccar from brand new drinks coolant from time to time there’s no leaks it just drinks it and I have 238k on it and not one mechanical issue had come up yet

The PACCAR is known to get a lot of blowby. The standards Allow for it but it's still not good

@@eddybrownII my company runs a fleet of them and none have blow by but they’re 2015+ and one 2012 but that one had work done

us old truckers loved the chrome and big pipes now its all covered up for what 3m iles to the gallon and pay more for def ..ugg

Hey rusty I recommend the Turtle wax Ice seal and shine for windows just spray on wipe off and it last me a solid 2-3 months only cost like 9$ at Walmart

I have massive respect for truckers. Driving a big rig was the most fun I've had in 2020 (went to a CDL school in Colorado but decided not to pursue a career in trucking) they had us training in manual transmission trucks and considering I had all of about 5 minutes of seat time in a manual transmission car in my life I did really well, instructors even said so. Love the vids, keep on trucking and watch out for idiots 😁

The WS interior looked like an attempt to be retro but in a bad way. The Cascadia looks a lot more user friendly.

Hey Rusty just new to your channel, when filling fluids and not using a funnel try turning the jug sideways it tends to have a more even flow and less spills. Keep’r rubber side down

Drive whatever is the easiest & most comfortable for you Rusty man. You're spending days & weeks on the road. I think I like the Cascadia better than the Western Star, but I'm not even a truck driver. For me it'd be about how good it is to drive & the console & technology in the truck.

I really liked the new cascadia. I was in a 2019 for a while. But mine had all that safety junk on it, lane departure, adaptive cruise ect. You are exactly right. It was beeping like none stop, drove me nuts. Interior and dash on them are very nice. The only thing I didn't like, the fuel and def gage.

Rus, if you use Rain x washer fluid it will re apply rain x when you clean your windshield.

Rusty had a crazy thought. Could a tube of clear silicone work around those mirrors. Your pretty good at figuring things out. If you could get it to work it would be better than tape.
