This film is so underrated, there is actually so much meaning and thought put into this, hank is alive on the outside but dead on the inside, tries to kill himself, then suddenly the other half of the same coin arrives, a man that is dead on the outside, but alive on the inside, his soalfriend, how do people not get this, i know its weird, but in a symbolic way.

A lot of people forget this movie is about mental illness truly. You see many homeless guys in life and wonder why don’t they work. They are able .. but they have their own world and a lot going on inside their world that they become a prison off. This movie is a peak into that madness ..

+Luke Vader It isn't a massive blockbuster like Harry Potter, but there will still be a hefty paycheck for this. Just becauae it is a 'passion project' does not mean he would do it for very little money.

Just finished watching this film, and I gotta say this movie is in every aspect beautiful. The movie starts with making you laugh your ass off and ends with making you cry. It may not be Forrest Gump good, but I gotta say this movie is just one of the best I've seen.

Being stranded on a deserted island leaves young Hank (Paul Dano) bored, lonely and without hope. At first i though it was comedy, because of trailer. I gave it a try, i was looking for something new. Did not expect this is a drama. Swiss army man is hearthbreaking , it tells You about life and what it is in a abstract way. I Have seen this movie many times and always cried like a child. People need to understand this movie, its very deep and not easy.

Such a beautiful movie with a great message and awesome acting. Up to the final act I was laughing really hard and at the final act I found myself crying a lot.

Well. The message can be understood in many ways. Personally I believe it is about shame, loneliness and love. You see, in our modern era, we are ashamed of telling each other, that we want to be loved and that we are lonely. The message is, that we can only truly be loved and appreciated when we stop being ashamed of natural things and start being ourselves. You can see this in the movie, as Manny (the corpse) comes to Hank who is suicidal. He comes when in need and Manny's first ability is to fart. We are all ashamed of farting and it is seen as a negative thing even though it is a natural process of the human body. As Hank becomes less ashamed and truly learn to be himself and open up, Manny learns new abilities like chopping wood and such. By opening up and learning to accept his natural needs, Hank learns to survive in the wilderness with the help of Manny's extraordinary abilities. Be yourself, open up and do not be ashamed of simple and natural things such as love and happiness. Sorry for the long read and my bad English. After all, it is just my opinion and interpretation of it.

Found this randomly on Netflix yesterday and made it not 10 minutes in before I was crying of laughter. Stopped the movie and went to show my room mates and it turned into a hilarious movie night. One of the better movies you will see and its surprisingly deep (though you may not realize it).

This movie is amazing and became one of my favourites. I love these two actors. Amazing performances. Such a rare gem of a movie.

I didn't think it was disgusting, but the main characters are straight but do some things some would think are "gay" or seem that way. When he drinks the water from the other dude I didn't think it was gross, especially since it was for survival, guys drink other guys urine when it gets that desperate, but I'm pretty open minded anyway. 🤓✌️

This is the goddamn best film i've seen in a long time! I probably never laugh and cried so much at the same time while watching a movie. That shit kicks you right in the feelings. So beautiful.

Anyone else watch this a few times and think it might actually be interesting

It takes a few watches to really appreciate the beauty of this film.
