One range session and I’ve gone from a 6 - 9 degree outside in club path with a slice to drawing the ball. Absolute gold! Just letting everyone know I contacted JT and he does online coaching sessions. I’d been to 2 coaches and spent $500 on 3 lessons and told them I had a club path issue and was cramping my downswing. Neither could tell me what to do, thanks to JT I now have a neutral club path in one range session and am hitting gentle draws. Also finding the middle of my Driver for the first time in a LONG time and my 60% swing goes as far as my previous 100% slice! JT you legend!

your honesty is raw but necessary......micah, just don;t let your shoulders creep toward too flat with this new insight... go back to the portions of this video right after you get the insight at around 8 minutes where your club and your hands are nicely in front of your chest....... seems a quiet hip turns leads to a better loaded hip turn....... one piece missing coach, you, like so many others have totally neglected talking about how the sacrum moves toward the target as you approach the top..... when Micah fully gets that part dialed in with these new insights, we'll see a guy who can trap a ball appropriately.....

I’m not even all the way through the video, tried the slight shift of chest early with the new shoulder turn. Immediately increased swing speed by 6mph. Less strain on the back, neutral club path, coming from inside without forcing anything. Amazing! This coach is going to go far. Young, and chill, also knows his stuff.

I thought flattening the shoulders in the backswing lead to bad things, I worked for ages trying steepen my shoulders in the backswing and could not shallow the club and just got steeper and steeper. Over the top, you name it. Just tried swinging feeling a flatter shoulder plane on the backswing filmed it and the club shallows naturally on the downswing WTF! This guys a legend!!

The way you set up to a golf ball will innately make your shoulders never stay completely flat. If you did the golf club would swing like a baseball player swings a bat, and it would be swinging through nothing but air. Flattening out and completely flattening or two different things.

  • @noworriesman

With golf you can have too much or too little of anything. Some people have different swings so you don't rebuild Everything. Micah is scratch and a bomber, a good instructor like this guy will tweak your swing, not rebuild it. I've gone through the same. When I started I didn't have enough shoulder tilt. I started doing high hands and big tilts and got instructed away from it. There's lots of debate to be had here and no one should take any "instruction" video to heart, everyone needs personnel instruction. Long drivers and KZread instructors will say high hands for power but then you get the misses Micah has/had. I know because mine were the same. You get steep and slice or pull. You hear him talk about sequencing. All the tilts and moves are different for swing plane and shot shape

Mate! Massive thank you for bringing us teaching/coaching videos like this, my misses and how i swing is like yours, near no videos online target those and even the lessons I have had don’t target the issue of leading with your hips making it near impossible to square the face! The width movement from the takeaway with irons has transformed my striking and contact this week and implementing it to driver has seen me hitting 270m bomb baby fades with minimal effort and what’s more it’s stabilised my swing, rather then leading with the hips and spinning the left leg out! So massive thank you for the amazing content please keep bringing us absolute gold like this!

This was a great video! I got a lot out of it. I’ve been taking lessons for a while and how he explained firing the chest before the hips, which I need to work on too, helped a lot.

I re-started swing lessons yesterday and this is the EXACT same change my coach is making in my movements and sequence. Unfortunately I can't adjust as quickly as Micah because it felt so foreign, but I have lots of lessons to go. I'm loving how much better it feels on my body and what a break it felt for my lower back. Glutes were sore though and I was thrilled for that! My 7 iron speed instantly increased by 4mph and a PB and I just started!

I have all the same issues, except my left shoulder tends to shrug and tense instead. Would love to get a lesson from JT sometime!

Just started getting some lessons kind of nice to see a video I can come back to of the same problem I’m having with the forward tilt on the backswing and getting that front shoulder to turn over the back foot. His explanation makes it super easy to understand
