    Grant, we are so proud of you. As a teaching professional and watching this. I just wished you could have been more committed through your shots. For people that do not or have not played high level tournament golf. Nerves are tough to work through. I loved how you said in the video to control your breathing. Great job Grant. Please do it next year. On another note. I am tired of all the "Haters" towards Micah. Micah, if you read the comments. Keep grinding. I would actually love to see you go spend time with Grants father and dial in your tempo and swing. Your search for your true swing could come down to this. Once again Grant. Thank You for just being You.

    It is funny how much better a 79 sounds than an 80. Same goes for 39 vs 40 on a 9 hole round. Me and my dad used to joke about that when I played HS golf. Lost him to Parkinson’s and miss him a ton. He came to every single match and tournament. Was there standing green side when I won my first tournament, made my first hole in one, etc. Definitely a gift to have a father who’s that invested in your passions and dreams.

  • @dorothygale1104

    @dorothygale1104

    3 ай бұрын

    Yeah, the difference is one is a sports competition and the other is an entertainment video in which golf is played. The quality of the golf doesn’t matter in a video posted by a KZread golfer, as evidenced by the fact that Grant shot a 79 and yet he got a lot of views for this video. Those who watch pro golf on tv (or any other device) are interested in the sports competition of the event, not whether the players are funny or engaging personally. But it is interesting to note that in the qualifying event that Grant played in none of the YT golfers were chatting and chirping like they do in their videos. When golfer’s are competing for prize money or a chance to get into a tournament, they get serious real fast and all the entertaining banter gets put aside. Grant even noted that George was not the talkative George we see in his videos. If you saw Wesley compete in the Tour event last weekend in which he came in 2nd place, he was dead serious and wasn’t the talkative Wesley from his videos.

  • @danieldunn293

Also, for Matt to clutch up and drain that putt, I'm not sure people truly appreciate how difficult that is to do in a moment like that. You really need amazing technique that you can fall back on, years and years worth of practice and grinding that allows you to accomplish that in a high pressure moment.

    The course didn’t suit a bomber that has no short game. Micah will be hurting, but he needs to sharpen up his short-game and get more putting practice. He is obsessed with what he thinks is his advantage, Distance. Well on tight courses, you need a plan B, Micah doesn’t have that. Bomb and gouge will work on some courses, but you still have to get it in the hole, not sure Micah has the golf brain to realise.

    The fact that you got to play with someone you know really well should have been a huge relief! Imagine playing with complete strangers you don't know? Understanding with the nerves that you would try and steer the golf ball. It almost looked like you were lined up right on many shots. Thanks for sharing your experience and commentary on what your thoughts were.

    Love this video. As you are talking about nerves and settling into the round, I can feel myself fully absorbing that energy and I can truly relate, both to playing tournament golf 1000 years ago for me and just getting out on the course now trying to get my channel going and grinding all the time to become the player you are....I noticed that the first few holes you were a little quick from the top and not fully finishing your backswing. I do the same thing during play(most people do I think) and watching the videos back on myself playing it is truly aggravating to watch. Its like I am making a completely different swing than normal. You played really well man. Your short game looked really good and of course you are a phenomenal player. This is AMAZING for the You Tube Golf world for sure. I foresee many more of these events coming soon and you will certainly be in them. Enjoy this ride dude, its been fun to watch. Can't wait for more....!!!

    I have gotta say I love your swing it’s so timed up and smooth, I’m not good at golf but this past year I’ve had the chance to play for my college and the nerves are so real and it’s so hard to brush off a bad shot so props to you for being open enough to post this. I want you to play in the PGA for sure

Also, Henry is the GOAT when it comes to caddying. Always positive, always encouraging, calling the right shots. Just awesome seeing you two approach each shot.

B- You did well Grant and we all know you are much better than what this score showed. C- HENRY IS THE MAN... MAN! What an example of human being and I would have loved for a bit of this video be about him as your Caddy. Good, Bad, and the Ugly.😄

    The mental part of golf is huge, it messes with me every single week and I am 55 years old with a 20 hcp, it should not matter at all, but every round, the first drive is like it's for a million dollars, of which I never win!
