I love to swim, but was never on a team when I was young so now, at 34, I’m taking classes to improve my technique just so I can feel comfortable doing US Swim Masters at my pool with people WAY more skilled than I. You and Lilly inspire me to keep going, even though kids out swim me all the time. Thanks for the videos. Rooting for you!

Cody, if you are reading this. I have been struggling with my swimming recently and I have not been finding it as fun in swim training and in galas as I used to. I have also not had as mutch motivation to keep going. Idk if it is my coach or just me. Have you ever experienced this? If you have, can you give me your point of view?

@Cody, the eleven practices flue is apparently over the limit for you body (at that time) since your immune system is less effective after too much physical load. Check out the sickness cases for cross country skiers, marathoners and Triathletes after extreme efforts.

Cody, do you think it is possible to do 100 freestyle and 100 medley in less than 1 minute, for a person who is not an athlete, who just trains every day for the love of the sport? I'm 28 years old, I've been swimming for almost 2 years... I'm doing 1:15 in the 100 freestyle and 1:20 in the 100 medley today, I have this goal of doing it in less than 1 minute in these two events, but I don't know if it's possible to achieve without being an athlete... just training 1 hour a day after work and studies

100 freestyle should not give any problems, but for medley you'll have to get really serious about training/food/life style...

Really depends on your body and fitness level. 100 free I think anyone under 35 with an athletic build can do under 1' if you train 4-5*90 minutes in a team + 2 times core and power. For the medley you'll need to have a good coach look at you to know if you have the possibility to do it. But with 1'20" as reference I think it'll be very hard. Please let me know one day if you succeed :-)
