Swiffer Reusable Pad

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Here I'll teach you how to make a Swiffer reusable pad. I made this pattern with the Suzette stitch to give it texture and to help clean better. I apologise for the sniffles and the camera cutting me off but I hope you find this tutorial useful. Happy Crochet and God bless

today is the day. I have the cotton cone yarn which I got on a deep sale and thankfully from another knitter crocheter that sold dirt cheep free. . Got my hook. ready to go anywho. Due to covid everyone thinks yarn is made of gold and that same 7.00 yarn the host got is now 14.00 and up. Yeah right. I can cut up rags before I pay that to a company who wont even give insurance to employees and sell us all china blah blah.. so.. Anywho.. thats my spiel on it. .. I love the way you have a texture and I saved this video three times.. haha. so love the pattern .. Thank you for your time. editing. Once I started, I remember working this before because as hunting for the yarn, I had done 2 rows of this. I wondered what is this pretty stitch I did and for what? Oh well. so here I am today, near 9 months later as I got carried away with BOHO Bags and back at this very beautiful stitch. I am so going to enjoy this and sure enough the second row onward it is super easy to spot where you put the hood for that SC. I am looking forward to doing an entire cone and seeing how many I can get out of it. This will make ideal wedding gifts, Christmas and birthday gifts. I appreciate your time BeeLoved person.

Thanks for the Tutorial. I didn’t know that the stitch was called the Suzette I’ve use that stitch for years however starting a new row I have not done both a single and a double I’ve just done a double and then on so it’s like the end of the road with a single turn it and do the double and a single double single double single double always end it with just the single and starting with just a double and I get a perfectly straight edge every time again thanks for sharing.

I followed your directions and was able to make 1 pad using 1 small skein, with a little left over.

Ok...I followed the pattern with the 70 starting chains...it was was to long ago I spotted it down to 60 and still a little long. My question is, once I get it sewn up how in the world do you get in on the swiffer?

Hello Kim, I still have the same swifter pad from this very video I did a couple of years ago and it’s holding up great. It will be a pretty tight squeeze to get the pad on but when it gets damp it loosens up so I purposefully made it small. When you use it, it stays firmly in place and works really good with cleaning your floors. Remember that these will shrink as they are cotton too

Did you get the big roll or just the regular skein? I got 1 pad with a skein plus a little of another.

R these for the dry mop or the wet mop?

  • @mycozeplace

You can use them for both. It’s 💯 cotton so it definitely shrinks so keep that in mind! I’ve used this very one I used to demonstrate and even though it’s a tight fit, it works wonderfully on my floors!!

I’m sorry. I do try to hurry and do my best with minimal tools to give free tutorials. It can be a bit tricky especially when I do not do written patterns so I try to be a bit more detailed.
