SWFL Eagles ~ M Brings A Huge Fish For F23! She Takes It To Go! Mating & Evening Switcheroo 12.12.23

F23 incubated the eggs overnight and M15 flies in to the veranda early in the morning. They greet one another with vocals and M15 drops to the nest to take over incubation. F23 goes to the attic and then outer limb and flies off while M incubates for the next 3.5 hours. F23 returns to the attic then to the inner limb. M15 joins her and they mate - keeping their bond strong together. F23 drops down to the eggs and takes over.
M15 comes in vocal to the veranda and F23 is vocal on the nest. He joins F23 and they both start alerting at something - possible intruder in the area but I could not see anything from the 360 cam. They both fly off and F23 returns to the nest. M15 brings in a large partially eaten fish for F23. She gets up and tries to figure out how to take it and fly off. She ends up going to cam 2 and pulls the fish towards her and then gets it in her beak and flies off to eat it. M15 returns to the nest.
F23 does not return and M15 stays on the eggs at night for the next 4 hours. While asleep, F23 returns to the nest for the switcheroo and scares M15 who mantles to protect the eggs! F23 goes to the eggs and M15 will stand up. Cute moment with her looking up at him. M15 heads to the veranda to keep watch for owls. Thank you for watching!

Watching M15 and F23 leaves me in awwe!!!❤❤, Such a Beautiful understanding between them it's like they have been together ❤ for Many seasons!! ❤🦅❤ The smoothness of their Amazing Relationship always Sparkles ✨ ♥, M15 bringing in a Huge bit of fish!! The fishtail was big lol I bet F23 enjoyed her Meal, 😂And F23 coming in and Giving M a scare! Even that was Cute!! Both M and F23 are a dynamic couple and make a great match and team. She finally didn't have a mating rejection. We know how M is now that eggs are in the nest!😁 So adorable when she looks up at him! 💞 I believe one of the reasons that M got frightened and went into mantling mode upon her arrival is bcz he wasn't sure if it was going to be a pesty Owl or not. And with it being so dark, it looked like F23 missed the nest just a tad, flaps her wings while she was climbing up! All in all, another perfect day. Thank You LH for keeping us in the loop of the SWFL'S EAGLES.

Jeez Louise >how much are we loving this sweet couple!! Eagles were gratefully removed from the endangered species list back in 2007! 🎉. Was the thinning of the shells on their eggs one of he reasons for the decimation of the population? There was also a problem with illegal shooting and habitat destruction... So thrilled they are now flourishing in numbers!!!, You go F23 and M15!!!!! ❤️🤗❤️🤗

She always takes the food and flies away when M15 brings her food to the nest. Guess she can't do that in 2 weeks when the babies come out to eat.
