Oh Britannia! Thank you for all the great music.
Watching this for the 577th time- still not bored of watching this amazing band.
That absolutely SEARING guitar interplay, holy wow!
Sound so good, drummer killed it
I feel bad I just learned of this amazing band until recently. Like to thank Rick Beato for turning me on to them.

Glad to see new fans. I've been a fan since they debuted in the 90s, but I never saw them live until they reunited a few years ago during the Shoegaze Renaissance. I've seen them twice since then, and I'll see them again in October.

My all-time favourite band from the UK & the most criminally underrated & overlooked! So glad they are still together creating great new music!

Criminally being the main word. Insane that they didn’t get as much love as other bands
Bliss. Bloody beautiful guitars, bass and drums with feel. Songs that take you out there. Hugely overlooked but hasn’t stopped them which is great. Been listening since ‘91.
Adam Franklin has THE perfect slacker voice....he sounds 20 years old and wistfully depressed....
Still putting out rockin' quality music that gets my head movin for over 30 years.
One of the best drummers I've seen live, love the SwerveDriver!!!

I was also positively surprised by Mikey Jones performance... Nailed in.
I think people don't believe they could play such studio perfect sounds just live on the spot
He beats those drums like they owe him money!!! Kick ass!!
*We're ready for the next trip to the Satansville.*
Saw Swervedriver play at the Mothlight, Asheville, NC, in 2015. Been a fan since '91 & it was my first time to see them live. Hope to see them again.
Sounds so good! The drummer is awesome .

Swervedriver only one ofve greatest bands to ever love..Adam Franklin is an underated guitar player and should go down in history as one of the greatest
These guys are iconic and I wish they got the recognition they so deserve. They just got screwed by PledgeMusic and I hope they can make another album.

What happened?
@sdp-ui2lw
4 жыл бұрын
@@user-wu8sj3ee3d They used a Go Fund Me type organization called Pledge Music where fans pledged actual money to help the band make Future Ruins. PledgeMusic was supposed to facilitate the transfer of the funds. They have now declared bankruptcy and can't fully pay Swervedriver all the contributions from the fans. They have also screwed many other artists. I believe their is now a lawsuit pending. I myself pledged to receive a signed CD from the band and they weren't able to provide me with that. Not the bands fault.
@HadrianRex

Ladytron got screwed too. I did the digital download on both pledges, so I got those on time. I bought the signed CD for Swervedriver's Future Ruins, and I did get it eventually.
Never lose that feeling!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Wow they sound amazing. I really hope they start touring again
This performance made my Saturday night excellent. :)
One of the best bands that are so unheard of! Been a fan since the start!
This is a happy way to welcome in 2020. Let me grab a beer and get comfortable!
Most underrated band in the history of rock n roll. KEXP sound guys always do an excellent job btw! Edit: Video guys rock as well.
Another great Swervedriver KEXP session.Thank you.

Fantastic performance, and another great album to boot. Thanks, KEXP!

And on drums, Johnny Vegas Lennon. Yay!

Alright. What app is Jimmy using? I think I need to have it.
Didn't the drummer play with the Big Sleep?
Best band you've never heard of (seen them three times, first in 1993, Detroit)
I spy a Catalinbread Bicycle delay...
Is that the Supergrass bassist?
I used to have their album Mezcal head on cassette tape, great stuff! The album artwork didn’t have band pictures so i had no idea what these guys looked like. Seeing these old farts playing live here on KEXP now ruins the magic a bit, in my imagination they were way more cool looking. Btw: i recall two similar sounding bands from the same era that i haven’t heard of ever since: Truly and Mystery machine. Anyone know them? Worth listening to!
Future Ruins is my Album of the Year. Two great reunion albums for these guys. Much better than the 2 Ride albums, though mbv and Slowdive reunion albums were better.

I rate Swd high because the guitar always has huge depth and reminds me of bagpipes. I wonder who made their equipment and if they had something like baggy in mind.
@darkforest3333

You’re right about the bagpipes type droning but it’s closer to a sitar to my ear, or two master senseis so perfectly intertwining their sitar mantras and the bass and drums are the majestic, psychedelic mountain they sit on. (sorry I’m swervestoned, MY phrase I evented NOW)
Great alt band.
\m/ Duel \m/ nuff said
They didn’t play duel!!
It's like David Gilmour got on stage with the Grateful Dead to shake his booty
Buckle up....

I have been listening to them since 1993, my big brother turned me onto them. Unfortunately brit pop was rearing its head and was pushed underground. But I prefer underground ground
That's one sexy Les Paul.
“Damn, KEXP, can I marry you?”
For a Day Like Tomorrow was everything that the music on Future Ruins wasn't...bright and tuneful and energetic. I wanted so much to enjoy Ruins. Even had in for a guitar (via their Pledge Music account) that was used during the sessions (but bailed when Pledge's issues with delivering what you paid for became a losing proposition.) But it was just sludgy and anodyne for the most part. If they ever make another record together I hope it's closer to the spirit of I Wasn't Born and less of the Ruins which the bland gray cover art strongly hinted the contents would be.
ese no es vocalista original cierto?

Hi, thanks for watching. We work with a very small team to produce a very large number of sessions each year. In fact, we're usually uploading about 5 per week, sometimes more more! And it's the same small crew filming and editing all of these great performances, so, while we understand your being anxious to hear a session we recorded, we hope you'll be patient with us as we work through ALL of the great sessions to deliver them to you in the highest quality we can manage. Also, did you know that KEXP is a non-profit, listener powered station that relies on donor support? We hope that you and everyone else who enjoys these sessions will consider helping us make these video and keep KEXP going strong. You can support us here: www.kexp.org/donate

I tell you what, drop all uses of the word AWESOME and get rid of Cherly (it's time for some fresh blood), and I'll send you a BIG ASS CHECK - you bunch of arrogant wood chucking peasant beggers.
