Criminally underrated. They deserved to be playing stadiums at this stage of their career.
Such a great band that should have hit the bigtime
@PlasticBag4Status

They didn't have the hits for radio or MTV, and were too much of regular dudes, no memorable look or enigma. More of a band to inspire other bands and sound engineers to adapt parts of their sonic palette and hit the bigtime.
Fender Jazzmaster and Gibson Silverburst combo.. absolute perfection.

@cactus-mcjacktus

@@brutallyremastered4255 nah, he’s using an LP Custom for 90% of the set, then on 99th Dream and Duress he’s using a japanese Squier with a humbucker in the neck Keith Richards style (read their Premier Guitar interview, he mentions both his ‘74 Tele Custom and this one).
Swervedriver will be something remenbered in every possible future of mankind

the only cd's i have kept are my swervedriver discography. They are my beatles, Zep, etc. For seeking heat, duress, duel, wrong treats, 99th dream. All of them bring me to tears. Thanks for sharing.
My band just recorded a new song. Sounds A LOT like Swervedriver. That has sent me into a KZread Swervedriver frenzy, finding gems like this. Even Rick Beato is a big fan!

@@luisalejandroramirezbazan6472 on the Paint and Copter youtube channel, under releases our new one Dreams of Machines, the song is Dream in Color. We will probably put out a video for it soon. Thank you!
Underappreciated band. Every album is a ride
Saw the Swervies last night in Adelaide...unreal. Years fell away as the crowd was enveloped in waves of guitar. Quite hypnotic at times, band almost looked as if in a trance, lost in the music. Played all of Raise, some Mezcal Head and newer stuff, onstage nearly two hours. Memorable.
duress still gives me chills
Thank You! (1000x) I saw this tour in Portland, OR. Adam was so approachable and cool. He was sitting alone in a booth and I asked if it was okay to join him. I sat with him for a few minutes before the show and had a short conversation - goodtimes! They opened with 99th Dream and the sound on stage must not have been to his liking. They were barely into the song and he waved his hand for them to stop. He made a few quick comments to the soundcrew about certain levels in the monitors and they were quickly back in action and did the show. (loudasfuk !)

Saw same show. I love this band.
Fuckin Incredible! One of the best set lists I've seen from them.
Inspirational! Great sound, great playing. My favourite band of all if I had to pick. Playing to 5 people in some random club. Lucky 5 people.
Nice one! Always has been one of my favorite boots. Gives some really nice separation of Adam/Jimmy's guitars so you can hear how they weave that tapestry of goodness. Love the part where Steve plugs into Adams rig too, priceless!
God bless the swervies !
best band in the world! I've seen them live 5-6 times and always great!

Do they still do shows? I’m 17 and a huge fan, and It would be a dream of mine to see them
Wow what an upload. 👍🏼. Thank you so much for this. I caught them live at the Croxton Park hotel in Melbourne Australia in September 2019. Still love their music to this day.
thanks! Been a fan since '93 and have never seen/heard this performance - great post!! AND I just now realized it's a whole performance - not just the first song!!! Thanks for posting! This is a real gem.
Fantastic version of Duress in the end!
Thanks for posting this! Awesome!
Fricking good ass live performance! Yeah, i seen these guys a number of times, but the one i remember most was swervedriver, medicine + velocity girl, at the blind pig, anarbor Michigan. 1994, i think? I was blown away (-,-)

whoa!!!!- just realised it's not just 1 song, 50 mins!!! thank you generous host
great video, great sound quality thank you for sharing this. Swervedriver rules forever!
I saw and met these guys in 1993 at the New Daisy Theater in Memphis, TN when they were opening for Smashing Pumpkins. They were really great. I was fucking ecstatic when I looked them up randomly to find this awesome set ready to watch on KZread. Thanks for putting this up. BTW.. they closed with Duress there too, but I think it went on for like 20 minutes! That's the way I remember it anyway.
So under-rated....should have been bigger, but then maybe it wouldn't be so powerful on a personal level. Earthmoving memorable rock from the Gods.
Their best lineup 😃

Great vid', never saw them but spoke to some of them somewhere somehow...this was like being there, so long ago.
Thanks for the upload, these guys really loved writing good music, and it shows, even from this live concert in someone's closet in OKC...

Thanks uploader! You Sir are a hero! Gonna get me through some late night working in the office!
Adam Franklin master of controlled noise.
Dang what a great guitar band. Reminds me of Crazy Hourse only more gen x rock shoegaze.
Oh how I would have loved to spend my sixteenth birthday on that show! Too bad I live in Norway.... :D Nice video!

Jason isamu My wife saw that tour in St. Louis and gushes about that show all the time. She and I got to see their reunion show a couple years ago at the Metro in Chicago and it was absolutely flawless. Fun Fact: They all looked relatively the same. As if they had been frozen in a block of ice and thawed for the tour. Same thing when we saw Quicksand a couple years ago.
