The 70's where all about the East, April Wine, BTO, Steppenwolf. The Stampeders opened up the west then in the 80's the west started to rule, starting with Loverboy and now with Nickleback

My first encounter with the Stampeders was back in 6th grade back in 1977...In class one Friday we had a donation to the Red Cross and our teacher brought in a box of records....Any record $1.00 so I selected the Stampeder LP with "Live" photo cover but was just a studio recording that had "Hit the Road Jack" on it...I believe I still have it today....

Love the banjo and the vocals are great! Awesome song! Seems like I remember this from back in the day, but honestly, I can't stop listening to this song, over and over. Even have it in the car. Harmony is awesome!
