This is one of the happiest songs ever recorded and I've loved it from its release way back when in 1971!

Love how they merge the 1971 video with this live version all these years later...fantastic
One of the best and most underrated songs from the 1970s -- always has been a personal favorite -- such a great, happy vibe.
One of the greatest Canadian songs of all time! Brought back awesome memories, at least the ones I can remember!!
I think The Stampeders are having more fun playing as Senior Citizens than when they were young man. Gives old guys HOPE.

I was 11 when the Stampeders were parade marshalls at the Calgary Stampede in 1972. Cowtown is still home to me after all these years. Thanks Rich, Ronnie and Kim for Sweet City Woman!
These guys on the radio was our sound track for many great full years. Thanks for the songs with the uplifting themes.
With all the negativity in the world these days we especially need to appreciate the people who bring joy into it.
My wife (gf) saw them live at the Cominco Arena Trail BC IN THE 70’s! This is the first time Ive seen this video (2024) and yes, the old boys haven’t changed one bit unlike so many others!💕🇨🇦
I remember as a kid in my dad's restaurant in Blind River, Northern Ontario this song would play on the Juke Box everyday for about 4 months 30X a day. Then in 1979 I invited you guys to play at my high school. You guys did an awesome job. But you played guitar and made it sound like a banjo. HOw did you do that? So many hits!

1971-2021 50 years plus later their number 1 hit still sounds great today! The only band I know that used the candy word "Macaroons" in a song! I also loved the way The Stampeders used their old 1971 video performances and slowly go to them currently. Great job!

Oh geez...my favourite song ever. One of my best memories ever...going to visit my relatives in Calgary and my cousin surprised me...she had bought tickets to see them at the Jubilee Auditorium. Also saw them here in Toronto. The date today March 5, 2024. It was meant to be this clip popped up. It will be 20 years ago in 3 days that my dear cousin Marilyn died. 😪 Sometimes things happen for a reason and seeing this clip made me smile and tear up at the same time. Actually everything happens for a reason. 😘 From Toronto

One thing for sure is that these guys will forever be immortalized by this fabulous song. That's something that the cruelty of time can never take away from them.
After all these years still sound great .. nice work guys
I remember 1971 and hearing this on the way to the LA County Fair (Pomona Fair) with my dad and brothers...that was a great year for music.
I was in a bank yesterday, this song comes on and I turn to the older woman behind me and I said: 'High School' songs. She cracked up and nodded....Still an awesome song all these years later. 'she feeds me love and tenderness and macaroons' - love it!

Loved hearing them in the 70's and even more now. A great Canadian group 👍🇨🇦
Love me some Stampeders, I remember when it first hit the AM station WHB in Kansas City Missouri
This song takes me back to 8th grade. I was walking down the hall one morning and it was playing. Every time I hear it I walk down that hall!! Thanks for a great song and the memories..
As an 8 year old I remember constantly hearing this song on the radio. It was everywhere and rightfully so. Fantastic vocals, playing and melody. I sang "Sweet Silly Woman" but...I was 8 years old. The only time I've ever seen anyone happier playing a cowbell was watching Will Ferrell on SNL. "I got a fever! Long Live Gene Frenkle!
I loved this song as a child in the early 70's....50+ years later still do. Best banjo song ever.
I was 7 years old when I helped Mike to deliver the Leader-Post. The van had the back door opened and this song blasted out. Hope you still remember me Mike from the Ozark Tea Room.
This is one of those songs that takes days to get out of your head.
They and Mungo Jerry still have it after 50 years:)
This is still my all-time favorite song going all the way back to when they first released it #MySong in 71 I was 10 years old living at the beach listening on my little portable radio. The memories it brings back. Priceless.
I LOVE THIS SONG. It gets played everyday on my Spotify account. You guys ROCK.
Is it just me, or does anyone else see the look of gratitude on their faces?

I'm indoors by the fireplace, but otherwise yes! Cranking it and enjoying Saturday evening.
When I first heard the banjo licks in this song way back in the early 70's I stopped dead in my tracks. I was mesmerised by the sound. It greatly influenced my decision to pick up a guitar and write my own tunes. Now I am on the top of the music world and I can thank this great Canadian band for finding me my calling.
I remember watching them play this live in a hockey rink in my hometown of Saint John, New Brunswick in the early seventies. It's still a great and memorable song!
Love the tune since the 70's
Great job after all these years. You guys sound just like the 1970's and looked like you had a great time recording it. Nice mix of old clips too. Stay well.
Timeless-ageless- thanks for such a great tune!!
Great song, group & wonderful times.
Remember this tune on the radio back in the early 1970s. What a happy tune!! Love it. I’m 59 yo. I was 9 or 10 when I first heard this song.

Nice to see Happy guys doing their thing!! Great song, I've always loved.
They obviously love playing it as much as I enjoy listening. Happiest song ever.

Sounds crisper and better than the original!! Nice song, thank you for the memories.

Every time I hear this song, I am transported back to Jr Hi in S. California. This has got to be the happiest, peppiest song ever written. Can't be sad listening to this song. I've ALWAYS loved it. I don't know why it mysteriously popped up in my feed, but I ain't complaining one little bit.🙂
This is SOOO EXCELLENT!!!! She feeds me, love and tenderness, and macaroons!!!!!
One of my favorite songs since I was 7yrs old and heard it on a Budweiser Special 8-track!
Good times, many great memories tied to this song.

For a bunch of old geezers, you still got the magic!
by the way,j I got introduced to this song in high school. The teacher played it for the whole class, he was an older gentleman, but loved this song. Good man, when I hear it, I bow my head for a moment in remembrance of him.

macaroon [ˌmakəˈro͞on] NOUN macaroons (plural noun) a light cookie made with egg white, sugar, and usually ground almonds or coconut. NOT to be confused with: macaron [ˌmakəˈrän] NOUN macarons (plural noun) a small round cake with a meringue-like consistency, made with egg whites, sugar, and powdered almonds and consisting of two halves sandwiching a creamy filling. "I made vanilla cupcakes and a batch of strawberry macarons"!! ...just FYI! Awesome song!

@@tracycapilot2002 Call me a strange kid back then, but as a chocolate cake lover (pretty much the only snack I had ever eaten to that point - that and chocolate ice cream 😜), this song actually convinced me to try the macaroon cookies, and I've enjoyed them to this day 😁.
Awesome! One of the songs that takes me back to a really fun childhood. A super melody with a neat bass intro, a great guitar solo, with a well executed drum beat. You guys make a great trio. This remake is a blast to the past. Thanks guys!
Badass! It’s always great to see a legendary band still playing.
You guys sound as good or better than ever. Musicans just age like wine. Keep gettin better Sweet!

My first encounter with the Stampeders was back in 6th grade back in 1977...In class one Friday we had a donation to the Red Cross and our teacher brought in a box of records....Any record $1.00 so I selected the Stampeder LP with "Live" photo cover but was just a studio recording that had "Hit the Road Jack" on it...I believe I still have it today....
It's fantastic seeing the Stampeders as ambassadors of the Stampede parade back in the day. Time sure has passed but arill love their music
