Hey! Press Shift for 5 units at a time, and Ctrl for infinite. Also there's some hot keys like ctrl p which is for selecting all idle peasants. Those are a must know in cossacks :)

I didn't even know Cossacks 3 existed until I watched this video. Last night after work I bought the Digital Deluxe copy off of Steam. So far its looking like money well spent. No major problems yet but I see they are releasing patches still. Thanks Diplex for showing this video!

You must train your pikemen to lvl 5 before you send them to battle. Last two levels cost a lot of gold and food and are done later into the game. You can capture all the buildings except barracks, stables and diplomatic centres. After progress to 18th cen, you must build an 18 cen. barracks fot the new 18 cen. infantry. Building frigates and ship of the line makes your fleet very strong. They have a very fast rate of fire.

Please make more of this, this was awesome!

Wow didn't know about this game before this video and I'm super exited!!! Remember when I played american conquest (same creators) and I could never win haha.

Buildings often are in a state of needed repair when taken over, few buildings such as towers, walls and dwellings often are full health when taken over. Houses (Dwellings), keep a statistical cost to build, where Barracks costs more the more you build. Dwellings also take the least space, where Townhalls tend to take a bigger area. So if you are in a position where you need space, houses tend to be a better option (But not always). And when it comes to formations, you need at least 36 units of a single type to form a squad, which in turn can use formations.

I dont have a swedish in my family (but mb there are some one i dont know). My full family is russians and i was born in Russia, but live there is very dangerous (but sometimes funny when on official tv sayes that in Sweden is revolution xD)So i want to move To Sweden.

Just some suggestions; put your peasants on unlimited training (control+click) rather than doing increments of 5 or 10, that way you only "pay" for them as they come out, let's you keep more money than trying to pay for 10-15 at a time. Same goes with military units. Also upgrade the fields, first through blacksmith, then the other 4 at academy. Good luck, the game is like a carbon copy of Cossacks 1, a great great game. Good luck!

And the Russian Spearman have special cuirass that protects them well against bullets and splinters, thats why you didn't kill one of them with the first assault :P

You need 36 man, a drummer and a general to create formations.

Cossacks 3 is essentially reskinned and reworked Cossacks 1. There is no pop cap. There are no hard limits to how many peasants you can fit in woods, stone fields and farms. Keep an eye on farms, though, as too many peasants can deplete the fields faster than they can regrow. I'd also recommend a minimum of two well manned farms. EDIT: just noticed the pop cap in the top left. Thats new.

If you playing for Ukraine, they can't build the stone walls. For towers you need artillery depot. And don't forget to build a warehouse, it required to unlock some buildings.

It would make a lot more sense if instead of building unit individualy you build them as groups example you spawn an officer, select a formation and the soldiers are built to fill it.

btw 1700 have hats with tre corners and 1800 have blue top hats

i just noticed that i was watching Diplexs point of view... I just came from watching vids from Apollo

3d engine but no free camera movement ? Is the camera locked and not like free as in the trailers ?

you should watch some vids. they play so fast, and spam everything constantly. its an amazing game once you pick up your pace and just continue spamming and spreading out with your resources and villagers and buildings etc. you both had entire peninsulas to spread out on before you started invading him from both sides. upgrades in certain orders gain better troop increases as well. build order is important to strength.

You should check out Executive Assault, its about 13 dollars on steam if you want to take a look at it.

You've formations with 15, 36,90,120 and 180 I believe (is like 5 months since I played Cossacks 1). But what I wonder is, do you need an officer to form formations? Because in Cossacks 1 you needed an officer, but the NPC didn't need one to form a formation which was very frustrating >.

Okey Cool. I also noticed that they've enhanced the CPU. Normally, they would go attack first with like a small party of Mercenaries (Grenadiers and Archers), but now I see they start with formation attacks....cool :D Abit more challenge there

+Simon Norris I remember that in 1st Cossacks minimal formation was 15 men. I guess they just increased minimal formation to 36 because in this game 15 men is nothing))

its because of formations they were OP plus upgrades
