I actually do that when playing Cossacks 3. Everything must be compact and in order. That way I clearly see what's where, I don't have to move camera a lot to find something and there's always space for more buildings.

a tip: when you want to build a mine. just select all peasants and build the mine. There will automatically only 5 of the selected peasant go and build the mine. Its much easier than trying to get only 5 of them.

Gameplay looks just the same as in Cossacks: Back to war. Thats good. Whats bad is that youre a complete noob. How can one be unable to defeat 6 impossible AIs?

you can actually win this, heres some advice: 1)Next time immediately build a 3rd town hall at start by trading in marketplace 2)you should have 2-3 18th c rax by 30 minutes, and 5-6 by 50 minutes 3) instead of hussars build dragoons and you should have at least 6 stables by 50 minute mark. Use reverse trading (trade 1k gold for stone at least 3 times when you want to trade stone for gold over 100k stone. Preferably you want to first reverse trade like 7 times of 1k gold for stone for every 100k of stone you plan to trade). If you go prussia/ukraine it'd be easier as well

I don't know how it is working in Cossacks 3, but they looks just like a graphic remake of Cossacks 1 and in that one you can burn captured building and kill peasants pressing delete - it's useful, when you're using fast cavalary to raid enemy's base.

Each townhall adds 100 people to your population pool. Meanwhile, each house only adds 15. Thus building 7 houses will take up alot more space compared to a single town hall. Think of townhall as your typical apartment block with the ability to pump out peasants and deposit resources. FYI, each barracks also add 150 people to your population pool.

I can see why there is a good pop count you can reach. Your cannons and buildings can be captured so you always need to keep some men back in reserve to defend these areas. Raiding is great but it seems a bit OVERPOWERED. Cannons seem over powered as well when entire units just get mowed down but then again the pop count is high. Overall this is the game I wish I had back when age of empires 3 came out. Ao3 wasn't what I wanted for realistic musket/bayonet type warfare. I got my fix with empire total war and darthmod but its not the same as an rts game.

You should try Cossacks 2 if you want realistic Musket/bayonet RTS. It uses formation based tactics and volley fire, with real reload times, and accuracy too.

2 has that, cannons need crews, are slow as hell and consume tons of coal and ammo. there also slow to fire and you need to time your shots. its also rare, and having 10-12 guns even is a late game thing. muskets you can control how many ranks you fire, and real reload times. one volley at red close range is utterly devestating. offices, and drummers etc are so important to unit holding and

Are formations still useless? The way I remember it in the old Cossacks 1 nobody used formations and just sent massive blobs at each other.

Either research the balloon, or it's in the settings before you start the match. You start the game with the balloon already researched.

You can set the team where the A.I. will be. So he can choose to be in team 1 and the 3 others players for team 2

Why did you waste all that stone by building walls behind your base? Why not just build the wall to the map's edge and then make it double layered?

I have much bigger and better fortress .The first wall is in the middle of map.

No, later on he selected the mines and they all had 5 in them when it listed 2 at the top-it went back up when he upgraded them but I didn't ever see any indication of a "Max yield" as it were.

age of I was awesome, II was very good but cossacks 1 was still better than them. Age of III is a shitstain.

You have to use as much cheats as you can in this battle.

un autre petite truc il aurais fallu que tu utilises plus de troupe type archer et des canon entre tes deux mur et tu aurais plus au si faire un double mur presque coller avec plus de deffence oui sa prend plus de temp et travailles sa te donneras plus de temp pour refaire tes troupe et contre attaquer de coter sur sa merci de m'avoir lue ^^

I honestly don't see what people see in this game. Just my opinion.

Not really this one. Cossacks 3 is in my opinion pretty bad. Cossacks: Back to war was a RTS Jewel. It was and is a very good RTS. Not many RTS need you to get resources to keep your armies and people alive and get coal and iron to have ammunition for them. It's a true strategy game where you are able to think about what you do.

Most retarded comment ever, congratulations. Total War is a completely different genre, you can't even build or micromanage units. Having a mode where there are units controlled from a top camera doesn't mean "same genre".
