- You don't have to micro-manage peasants, just set up Town Hall rally points on top of the resources (food, stone, wood) and they will start working automatically. - You definitely need more than 2 barracks. - NEVER stop producing new units. - Upgrade units and resource collection. - Never assume that your army is strong enough. It's not.

- Always grab as many early upgrades asap - NEVER stop producing peasants either (at least until you have enough to saturate every mine and quarry, and a bunch of woodcutters and farmers on top) - Build some walls to shield against flanking raids (a hundred wood and stonecutters and still no walls, HRRNNGGH!) - get every gold coin you can get. They're needed in so many important upgrades and improvements.

i had to learn this as well coming from Age of Empires.. pop limit and small armies aren't things to be worried about here. put three TCs on infinity peasant production on food wood and stone and keep the units pumping!

- riders are good aganinst pikes when brought up in decent numbers(england has an advantage for cavalry..at least in back to war they did) - from what i reckon..howitzers would have done great against that dank blob - when the engagements start...make sure to set up the facing and spacing between your troops...so that melee units of yours take the beating..while the shootas dank'em

Just a tip, you should always get walls as it is the best way to completely stop a pike spam which is the most common tactic people use.

You need to build a lot more barracks, say 3 or 4, so you can constantly pump out units the same way you did with the villagers. Same goes for artillery and stables :)

i would like a remake of the second game to :) cossacs 2 was fun :) Good video!

Smithy has some useful upgrades, one of them makes all your cav train four times faster. Also, mercenaries have upkeep in gold, and if you don't have enough gold to pay them, they'll turn against you. Also, that upgrade from the Academy you bought a couple of times that "heals all live units" heals them just one time, so if you got some injured units, you buy this upgrade, they are all instantly healed, but they don't heal passively over time or anything like that. All that info is actually from Cossacks 1, but I'm 99% sure it works here.

Um, pixelated apollo are u going to do a hyrule total war gohma siege battle or not?

A few tips: 1. You don't actually need to build too much mines. Just spam peasants on stone and sell it on the market. 2. There is no need to build stables so early. Sich Cossacks are good for quick ruining enemy economy, because a lot of players are not defending their mines or peasants. Just like You. 3. Upgrading pikes, drummer and officer is always a good idea. And use all buildings for it. Not just 1. You can select them all by doubleclick on 1 building. It works for units too. 4. I never used priests. You can heal all troops through academy. 5. If You will set meeting point on resources, all new peasants will automatically work there. 6. Don't scout the area with good units. Use 1 pikeman instead. Spamming pikeman is useful at the start. 7. Don't recruit too much musketeers when You don' have even pikeman. 8. Tell units to don't move, they will not break formation 9. Use diplomatic center, it's fast way to get army 10. If You capture enemy builders You can build their buildings, recruit their units and research their technology. Hope it helps That end tho :D

I would recommend setting the Town Hall rally point on the field, right from the start then you can always move them from the field to something else. But that way you won't have to manage the peasants as much, because you know they will be doing some kind of work.

What did you do to make your game not crash? Because when I play it, it crashes....

I know many other people can give you better advieces but here's some tips from me: 1.Peasants, peasants, peasants and peasants...faster resource you get then better. 2.Secure as much resource you can early on. 3.Form formations with diffrent types of unit...battles go similiar like in total war, but faster. 4. ALWAYS BE STOCK UP ON GOLD...if you dont your units can go rouge. Also alltirery and ships need gold in same way like units need food. 5.Upgrade units. 6. dont leave your buildings or cannons unguarded or thay can get captured by enemy. 7. Dont be afraid to expand as you grow in power. Thats all for now, i think. If you knew some of these things you can ignore. P.S Sorry for horrid english.

You can make a waypoint from ur town hall when building peasants to a specific resourse making it so that when the peseant is created they work the resource automatically.

Hey Apollo, have you thought about making a barracks or stable or whatever unit building just for upgrades? That way you can still produce troops in one or more but there's always research going on and if needed, extra producers!

Sweet video as always Apollo. Just wanted to say that the game is pretty much "sped up" in terms of the animations, the old Cossack games had the same sort of speedy animations where everything is borderline x4 speed. When you get used to it you end up kind of enjoying it more, in my opinion at least, since line battles and cuirassier charges can take awhile to set up and resolve.

You should use the market, build more and more town centers and buildings, and don't forget there's NEVER enough peasants!!! :)

A piece of advice, once you have built townhall proceed to blacksmith and mill then rush barracks. There you could produce some units for early raid, sent them to wreak havoc and capture some of their peasants. Keep these captured peasants as much as possible and try to build their own townhall The point is, you could abuse the game system in which you could control 2 or more nations at the same time. It means that you could get their units to complement your units. and yeah don't forget to get some tech, e.g farm improvement on mill, blacksmith and academy good luck :D

Apollo i really like your videos and enjoy watching but you should cut a little bit more on cossacks 3 because there are some people that dont like the farming and biulding parts and even some dislike for that they just want WAR!but i watch it all without skiping anything because i enjoy it and want to learn how to play Cossacks 3 a little better :)

Apollo, there are a lot of mistakes you are making but these are major ones so some important tips to help you around: you should never forget to research the grain-related upgrades in the academy. they increase harvesting by 40%, 140% etc. It means 50 upgraded workers will end up working like 150 or 200 non-upgraded, so that's a nobrainer. You can never have enough peasants/workers, they enable you to get upgrades, keep churning out troops, more upgrades, build more buildings etc. Don't forget to keep upgrading your troops. You made literally 0 upgrades on your musketeers for example. Never stop training troops, try to get enough resources(trade if you need) to build a 3rd barracks(mid-late game, not that important early game). You don't need to keep assigning peasants each time they come out. Rally them to a resource like you would set a troop to a rally point on the map. Artillery production is quite slow and you shouldn't produce cannons, until you get a couple upgrades(this doesn't go for bombards for example). Take a look at the upgrades available for the artillery and you'll see the second upgrade is related to decreasing the time required to make new cannons. Use that upgrade. You also had a ton of resources floating around not being used at all(wood, food, stone in particular) and you kept complaining about not having gold. Why didn't you use the market to trade them for gold, iron, coal when you needed it? It's common sense. Research the stone excavation efficiency upgrade and then let a lot of peasants mine stone which you can afterwards trade for other resources like gold.

Pixie you gotta stop playing this like its total war. Totally different game, the army with the most units will most likely win. Whenever you think you have a large army you don't, build and build and never stop building and producing units. This game is all about spamming. Also don't forget upgrades because your muskets where pretty much useless. Don't leave your troops so close to the enemy lines and when you are mid retreat don't switch to the city! Make sure your troops are safe and only then move on to do other things. At the end there when your army got destroyed you should have retreated a long time ago, no point in facing off an army thats so much larger than yours.

so ive never played cossacks, but if its anything like age of empires or starcraft you never wanna stop villager production. you take over the map and cut wood from every tree, mine from every mine and just overpopulate the map with stuff. it is also a sort of defense later, as it takes your opponent a very long time to actually get to your core.
