Yeah as a Finn I'm rather cheering for the Swedes in their home tournament. They have a strong team while Finland is total dogshit this year again

Finland often has a bit of a Canada syndrome where they don't give af until a meteor is about to crash into their house and then they step up

I’m surprised. I thought the Swedes were Finland’s arch rival, much like Canada and the US. I thought you’d cheer for Canada over Sweden. I guess it means Canada will disappoint you twice. 😉

the way TSN projects and patternizes past results on every swedish team is ridiculous.. yeah they had that streak, with only one gold. yes okay, we get it. they are often the 2-4 ranked team coming in, rarely that number one favorite. still consistently in the mix for gold, just like russia.

Well they have been correct for most of the times over the last 40 years so think what you want. Sweden has had and still has many hurdles to overcome culturally and mentally. Physically they are on par.
Hope they dont get to cocky now before Canada. The greatest test of the tournament SE

Don't think they will. It would be stupid to underestimate Canada. We all know that Canada is gonna be the toughest opponent to play against in this tournament. Also the team has a match to match approach. When a match is done you focus on the next one

@@moondaughter1004 for Sweden Team USA is the real boogie team historically, they've been struggling even worse against Team USA than against Team Canada.

@@rw8185 true that. I haven't followed the hockey scene for that long so I'm not super knowledgeable. But I do know that anything can happen in hockey. Just because you're the stronger or weaker team doesn't mean it will guarantee you a win or a loss. There's a saying in Sweden "Det svänger i hockey". It basically means that it can turn around real quick and nothing is certain
