So I am the outlier for the ear piercing poll. My first time I only got one ear done because I was five, and the lady did one at a time and I got so freaked out that I wouldn't let her do the other. It wasn't til I was like 25ish that I got my other ear pierced and was able to wear earrings as a pair. So yea thats my tale lol

Oh my god I loved those books when I was growing up!

I got my ears pierced as a baby, by a nurse using a surgical needle, in the hospital. My parents (who were not well off at all) got me gold earrings and that’s what I wore throughout my childhood. I had no issues with them. Then, I got additional piercings as a full grown adult and I had so many issues with them. It’s a contentious subject, but I am happy that my parents pierced my ears the right way, when the skin is more likely to heal quickly. I only started wearing shitty jewellery as a teenager, really, and I do have a sensitivity to them

Some thoughts about today: It would be perfect to do the launch this upcoming weekend as it would be on the anniversary date, but I'll be out of town camping, with no internet service so I would miss the launch! I am hoping for the following weekend (7/13). I put milky white shimmer in my toppers wheel. My "specialty, non holo" wheel is getting too big, lol. I laugh at people who say 40% humidity is dry, or 74 degree F is hot. It is 1230pm in the desert where I am, and it is 102 F and 9% humidity. I keep my home at 76 degrees F. I die in humidity above 35%. Thanks for the chill stream!
