I change all silver for gold . Now Xi Biden Putin and all CB will defend my money :) If i want profit then buy platinum metals they cheap now but all countries build hydrogen powerplants that true future energy not stupid panels or windmills ....

I know there's a HUGE calamity happening in the precious metals (primarily w/ silver) 'short' markets, Never-the-less there's no way I would ever dump my gold. It is a storage of my wealth. I recently dumped 500 oz of high premium 'collectible' silver (the price being high) and purchased some gorgeous antique ( circa 1400) gold spanish bars at less than spot! (altho expensive) I still have plenty of silver and some larger kilo bars... (My rule of thumb on silver is $1,000 in face value of constitutional silver per person will keep the wheels spinning AFTER any fiat monetary reset) but for me GOLD IS WHERE IT'S AT! I like silver...But I LOVE GOLD!

I don't recommend trading Au for Ag... However, doing the opposite is better. Accumulate Ag on dips is a must... saving your Au is wealth... just don't trust Ag at the moment. However, I believe eventually there will some type of shortage in the forecast.. I see Ag going to $50 or maybe little higher in the near future...

Putin has been designated a war criminal by the International Criminal Court for his crimes against humanity, notably starting a war of aggression, massacring civilians, and kidnapping more than 20,000 Ukrainian children. He couldn't even attend the G20 summit in South Africa last year because he would have been arrested as soon as he stepped off the plane. The entire free world has taken Ukraine's side. The only countries that support Russia are a handful of military dictatorships like China, Iran, North Korea and Syria. Why Andy Schectman would throw in with them is beyond me.

i,m trying to figure out why the U.S. dollar is still mentioned when talking about gold and silver. Why are we hodling gold and silver , ? isn,t it to protect yourself from the falling USD>? why is everyone wanting to " cash out" into a losing piece of paper? We agree. Get out of the dollar accept for operating expenses and enough savings in USD to ensure you don’t need to sell precious metals to cover emergencies. I keep cash for that and the rest in Silver and Gold. I also have other investments as well. Good point, I hope people are listening.

Great question. He will be coming back on May 13th. My best guess would be American Silver Eagles as they are the most recognized silver coin. However, not limited to those.

Gold is WAY easier to store than silver for the money. No question.

It really comes down to why you are buying. I see gold as wealth insurance and like pre-33, US eagles and buffalos, and 1/10 oz eagles; for silver, I see it as money and concentrate on American Silver Eagles, Buffalo rounds, and Constitutional 1/2, quarters, and dimes. I also have fun collectables. To me the important part is having the metals. Think good, better, best. Check out my playlists on silver and gold University. Those have a lot of good info in them.

So, if I have just three oz of gold. I should swap for silver? For comparisons sake, I have 350 oz of silver and $350 of 90%. I also have about $13000 in an old company 403b account. It isn't doing much. Should I cash that out and what should I do with it. Should I be funding a Roth IRA as well or avoiding that? I could put the money in the account but leave it in their money market account until a "crash" and put it into a fund then.

I’m not a financial advisor. These are questions for a certified advisor. There is no perfect or one way to hold metals. Andy is pointing out a story from his past playing the gold to silver ratio and how that is similar to today. Some follow that strategy and others don’t.

Sounds good in theory however taxes, fees and price differentials between buy and sell prices mean you lose a chunk but I will crunch the numbers as it could still be a good trade.

Gold or Silver? If gold, it will probably be a large bullion dealer. If silver, most local shops will buy them. The first question is should you? That’s best decided on with an advisor. Most the time there are fees to sell and to buy so make sure those are clear as well. Just ideas, not financial advice.

I don’t give financial advice. Andy shares it as an option. I’m heavy in gold and have some silver. They serve two purposes for me. Gold is wealth insurance and silver is more speculative and for SHTF.

Can’t go wrong with miles Franklin have bought both gold and silver from Andy and others over there for close to 20 years, back when Andy’s dad ran the company, always got top notch service.

Massive price discovery upwards. Many calculate the real price of gold to be between $50,000 and $100,000 per ounce once paper gold disappears. That would be about outside any gains per inflation.

try to keep it 50/50....like CEF (Canada Fund) stock. That way you get all the advantages. Real inflation is at least 10%, so all tangible commodities will go up at least going forward. The FED and US Treasury deficit is printing $3.5T/year. Either physical is always good.

My approach is as follows. I never touch my Gold. I buy Silver and Bitcoin with my cash. I convert my Silver into Gold when the ratio is to my liking. With the advancement of AI and quantum computers I will convert half of my Bitcoin gains to Gold probably within 10 years. Bitcoin is safe until it isn’t. In the event of a cataclysmic disaster Gold and Silver have a lot better chance of surviving compared to electrical digits in Block Chain.

The crypto folks seem to pump squeezes all the time. It’s been a while since silver did it. I did pick up dimes today as the opportunity presented itself.

the 20%-40% premium for silver coins are a hard nut to crack vs 3%-5% for gold coins. Mot to mention you need a dump truck to move your silver

Very true, but how much silver does one really need when the ratio flips? If silver goes from an 80+ ratio to low double to single digits a monster box would be more than enough for most people. I do agree on ratios. Silver requires a longer hold than gold.

I hear ya but I like the security of gold. Silver is subject to fluctuations in industrial demand and historically has larger moves in both directions versus gold. I do own silver but I also own gold, and will not trade it in to acquire more silver. One aspect of gold people don't understand is it's a safe haven, not only against inflation but against a bond market collapse. Bonds have been seen for a long time as a safe haven but when the bond market collapses, that demand will shift to gold. I understand there was a lower historic gold-silver ratio but silver coinage has always been critical. While I expect it to become critical again in some regions and perhaps all regions for a time, I ultimately expect people can trade claims on gold held by trustworthy custodians and it will be a more efficient means of trade in the modern era.

I’m a big gold fan too. I really love pre-33 gold. There is merit to playing the ratios but it’s more complicated than just trading and right now I’m more concerned with wealth preservation than making money. With that said, I’m adding more percentage wise in silver this year.

Trading the ratio is a good way to accumulate more or both without a cash outlay.

Personally, they did it before, if they get desperate enough, why would they not do it again? They never confiscated by force. Everything was voluntary. If they do it again, I’m guessing it will be in the form of taxation like a windfall or VAT Tax. Most just don’t have coins so it’s much different now. I would see them going after 401k, IRA, brokerage, savings accounts first. Then cryptos. Then precious metals. Hard to tell for sure. Currently, there are laws protecting collectible coins like pre-33 gold. Some say those were never solidified. They are executive orders so a sitting President could change them. When in doubt, I say diversify. I have a few videos on Pre-33 worth a watch to get more opinion on it. I can’t give actual financial advice but those are my thoughts on it so far. Still researching into it further.

I agree, the first confiscation everyone had gold currency. I don't see them coming after the small percentage of stackers. They would definitely take digital assets first.

@@lamarravery4094 Hard to say for sure. What happens if the green plan is scrapped and people reject solar and EVs? Lots could happen. For this reason, I don’t speculate with metals.

England holds most of the world’s goals for countries. Most of this is on paper.. They just can’t transfer 50 tons of gold to China. It would be a big hassle.. in United States. The bubble has already burst it.. that I own pay quarterly dividends over a dollar . I own eaten.. which pays about a dollar every quarter. I own gold and silver. And I own some crypto. I believe you Andy is very, very smart doing I bonds for short durations six months.

That said, I don’t disagree with you-the issue is that: so long as the governments of the world want gold to be more valuable, it will be…. Until the actual supply of each metal becomes more evident and then things change. I think silver should be more valuable than gold given the utility of each and the supply of each. The issue is that it’s hard to know when this fact will be exposed and converted to price throughout the world. I think this leaves four scenarios, two are bad for silver, one is good for silver, one is a push: 1. Reality is exposed and Silver is $3,000/oz over night-governments around the world confiscate it for its utility (as you said, we are screwed without it). Those govts tell us to use gold or fiat as money (after all, they’ve stock piled gold, and use it to back fiat) and that all the silver is the property of the state. You’ll wish you had gold. 2. The above scenario takes 100 years to unfold and you miss out in all the gold gains in the interim. You’ll wish you had SOME gold. 3. Silver is allowed to appreciate to 10:1 of gold. Landfills are opened to recycle silver, new silver mines are developed and produce after a few painful years and maintain silver to gold ratios. You’ll be glad you have silver. BUT for all the reasons in 1 and 2, it’s good to hedge with gold. 4. Both continue to go up. Silver out performs gold because of its utility, but gold still goes up too-just at a lower percentage. You’ll be glad you owned silver, but any disruption to this balance could lead to confiscation, so it’s best to hedge with gold. I think owning both (with MUCH more silver than gold) is the best option. I don’t think you can ignore the fact that every central bank (except ours and El Salvador) is stock piling gold. It WILL be deemed money above silver if it comes to that and a state WILL confiscate silver before it allows its industry to run out of it. Essentially, my gold hedges my silver, but I agree silver has MUCH more potential.

I would love to see an 80-90% reduction in Federal spending. We have a spending problem.

Speculation by a silver pumper who makes a lot of money from premiums if you follow his advice. Pays you spot or less for your gold and makes money on the resell, makes money from the silver you bought from him. The only one who loses is me. I learned a long time ago I’m better financially off ignoring Andy’s FOMO.

That is how buying physical metals works. Nothing is free in this world. It does cost money to mint these coins, rounds and bars and resellers need to have some room to keep the lights on and take profits or why be in business. If the ratio does flip, those premiums will be made up in the ratio play, no?

@@StackingSurfer Yes, but none of these hucksters discusses true buy back. If spot is $50 and everyone is lined up out the door to sell, the buyer will be an intermediary between you and the refiner. You will be lucky to get $40 an ounce. Discussed with full transparency, I’m OK with people making money. Implying you will have riches beyond avarice is snake oil salesmanship.

Shouldn't we see a good pullback at least before the election? Not a chance I'm selling my gold holdings for silver, im going after both. Im on a very limited income but with consistent purchases over the last 4-5 years i have quite a bit but nowhere near what i feel comfortable with stopping stacking but don't regret a single o in rhe base stack. I just wish i wouldn't have got so distracted falling in love with higher premium collecable pieces but i have a lot of them i got primarily to flip and increase my base stack.

I feel you on the higher premiums. Selling those coins as fast as I can. I bought way too many at first. There are always pullbacks. If not, you end up with crashes. I anticipate a few pullbacks, however we could see another $100 up for gold and the pullback may just go to $2,100 for example. So it’s hard to call tops and bottoms. If the Fed raises rates which I still think they will (could be wrong), that will strengthen the dollar and push the metals down hard. I see the Fed saving the dollar over saving the banks but I could be wrong on that too. Hard to say. Watch the Fed closely.

I’m also only selling the gold I don’t want. Keeping the coins I love. Gold is my wealth protection. Why would I get rid of that? I am acquiring more silver as a percentage of total metal acquisition than I have in the past.

Over the last 10 years, the gold silver ratio has not fallen below 60 to one. Yes, you’re talking over 5060 years. Maybe I don’t know. I haven’t looked at those charts.

Central banks basically only hold gold that’s why paper money is basically worthless. I don’t care how many tons of silver went to India. I care about how much gold China is by the back up to back up, the Yuan. Or what countries with the peso euro and whatever else currencies are out that are out there.
