In england there is a place called the swannery. Its a park with 600 swans... Thats a lot of swans ( i know from them bc of youtube)

For those of you who say “the goose deserved it,” etc., mute swans behave similarly to geese, except they’re bigger, stronger, more aggressive and territorial and less afraid of humans. They’re basically geese on steroids (with the round rage to go with it.) They’re also an invasive species in the US that drive away other birds (not just geese) and are very bad for aquatic plants. The enemy of your enemy is NOT your friend.

That’s funny, because in the UK it’s mute swans which are the native species and Canada geese which are invasive and problematic. They’re both asshole birds but the geese are much worse because there are so many of them

This is like my 4th swan vs geese video. I'm starting to think swans don't like geese.

Molting season.... adults at this time have dropped their main wing feathers. That's why they can't just fly off to escape this swan.

No, the geese have a bunch of goslings to look after. The goslings are too young to fly yet, so the adults wont fly away leaving their young vulnerable to the larger swan. So, the adult geese are forced to stay on the ground to try to defend their young. Once the young get all their adult feathers they can fly with the adults.

@@jaysilverheals4445 When it comes to waterfowl, such as ducks and geese, there actually is a time where they cannot fly since they molt most of their wing feathers at once. During this time, they adapt to being on the ground until their new wing feathers come in.

The swan never does an actual physical attack on the video. Seems he wants to scare them but not really wanting a real fight.

Last night I saw a swan drowning a little duckling geese then luckily there were some stranger's near by that tried to get the swan off of it and we threw rocks, sticks, dog leads at the swan and it just wouldn't stop so then 1 women grabbed it by the neck (the swan) then the goose ran to it's huge family again.

goose girl it was first underwater when I grabbed its neck when it poked it in the bushes we got it out

Goose vs Swan. Both are from the fighting tribe;-) But they are so cute. I save my Girl friend from an attacking swan. We where there to feed the Swan couple.But we didn't know that they allready had youngsters. So the dude came,first time that I got bothered that my Girlfriend had to use a wheelchair. I couldn't draw back I had to protect my girl. So I had to take the winged slaps ;-( Had a blue marks. I watched out for nests after that ;-) Besides it didn't hurt that much. I saved a black swan. He/She was a young dude, likely to had mislanded his first flight ;-) He was very calm after the first catch. I even let his neck loose, holding him under my arm. Doing it slow and friendly - made him be just the same. I even let kids scritch him. But I was pissed off as one girl said that he was ugly. WHAT? Was there a something her parents told her that wasn't right? Anyway the swan got his first car ride for 2-3 minutes. When we reached the small lake he "told" us it's his home. Mission accomplished ;-) I love geese :-) We had a couple at my working place. She was shy and peaceful while he was "THE DUDE" The impersonification of that. I always pretendet to run away,wich was his ATTACK signal. I ran with one hand behind me so he tryed to bite me.When he forgot what happened that days and weeks before and went for a final attck I stopped and held my index-finger towards him.In wich he bit -of course. So I grabbed him with my thumb and finger pulled him towards me. Got my leg over him and said: "Gotcha" The first half minute he was angry as hell. You should have seen his eyes ;-) Lol But he knew what was coming now - scritching time - This method doesn't work too long.He just doesn't wanna attack me anymore :-(

animals have different traits. birds are not pack animals and its not in their brains to pack together in a group to act in unison against another as if a pack of wolves or humans that know they can overpower something in numbers.
