Sheep vs Swans with lambs and chicks the whole family. Love swans? Travel links - make bookings for hotels, apartments, flights and more via: www.booking.com/index.html?ai...
This swan pair just had 8 cygnets. Cute little chicks. But they have their nest on the edge of a farmer who keeps sheep here in Pijnacker, The Netherlands. Swan vs sheep battles happen a lot in Holland - www.flickr.com/photos/josvand... The sheep have baby lambs. They are very curious and wanted to see the baby cygnets... Well, mama and papa swan did not like that idea and the little cat fight ensued, with the sheep herd retreating. Sheep vs Swans

It's also interesting how you can see their individual personalities on display. A few timid ones, the inquisitive-but-wary ones, and then the one literal black sheep with rather more curiosity than caution...

I wouldn't call it *amazing* as such, as any animal with sufficient neural complexity has it - including at least the smarter end of lizards - but it's always interesting to watch in action and something a lot of people don't realize.

broadbandislife I would call it _amazing_ because of the complexity of certain animal behaviours. It makes it more interesting to observe and interact with an animal that shows intelligence (like rats or apes for example) and has the ability to respond to certain things in similar ways that humans do.

James Merryman interesting. I didn’t know that. Maybe the male swan is a bit on the older side or knew his mate had it under cover? Also it could’ve been the male on top of the nest cause I do know they switch out occasionally, right? Idk how to tell if a swan is male or female. But idk much about swans so I’m just guessing

...he shall cover us with his feathers and under his wings shalt thou trust. The lambs being babies themselves were just too curious also reminded when they all came to see baby Jesus.

warum hat der Schafbesitzer nicht das Schwanennest etwas eingezäunt, sodass seine neugierigen Lämmer das Nest nicht stören? Wie gefährlich das für die Küken ist, sieht man bei 3:25. Trotzdem: schönes Video!

I agree but in this case not much can be done to stop a curious sheep or a pair of swans deciding to nest there ...
