Great review. Swampfox has great products and I have been using thier stuff for a few years now and really like it. Thier service is also excellent as well as thier LE/MIL program.

I just got a Swampfox kraken as my first ever Red dot and I love it ... If they make a Kraken 2 with a circle and dot reticle. I will definitely be in line for it

I love my OLD Sentinel. But I ordered one just before the new II came out. They had made the optic light do some stuff I didn't like. Wanted to know if they did it on the II version. Last one I purchased they had made the optic light very hard to see, and in fact to dim down if there isn't much ambient light around. When I reached out to them, they said if you have a light on your gun, you're good to go. It will brighten up. But if you don't, the dot is designed to dim down so much it is hard to use. They said if it was that dark, you can't ID your target so you shouldn't be shooting. Intially I thought this was a good idea. But I discovered some flaws in the system that made me send it back. . Problem with this was twofold that I found. 1) When I stood in a dark hallway, and aimed out into a lit up room, the optic was impossible to see. So, If I'm hiding in a dark area (my bedrroom at night), and try to shoot a bad guy in a lit area (another room that the light is on), the dot won't show up. 2) was when I was outside at night. I live in the woods. I have one streetlight in my yard. If the "sensor" ibn the optic was facing the streetlight I could see the dot, but if the sensor wasn't facing the light, but was on the side away from the streetlight, it went into that "to dark to shoot" mode and I could barely see the dot, despite my being able to see well enough to ID my target by the streetlight. Did they carry this feature over to teh Sentinel II?

Get the manual version. Fixes all of this. Then you just set it for your conditions with the buttons

Trijicon RMR®cc also loads the battery on the bottom 👍

I have the original Sentinel and it has worked pretty good for far. Top load battery would be nice but the size probably is preventing that.

Yea it’s definitely a sacrifice but the gen 2 liberty and justice both have top loaders

Is that a shadow compact you have it mounted to? Kinda want to switch over to a hammer fired CCW and dont want to skimp... Shadow compact the move?

If it’s cut for a multi optic setting I’m sure it does, RMSc footprint but you can always get it cut for this
