Great informative video on these panniers. Just finalising the purchase of these for a cb1000r black edition which I think they ll look great on. About £450 complete here in the UK. What a beautiful RE GT you have. Love the colours. Honestly I m not sure they would be my choice for a RE but that’s just subjective. However liked and look forward to seeing more of your content on the RE. Ride safe.

I think you will really like them. They don't "fit" the style of the GT but there were not a lot of choices. Motech does make some cases that look like old school fabric panniers but they don't have the capacity of these.

The longer shock bolts are for when the center stand is fitted they have a grab handle that attaches to the top shock mount witch uses a longer bolt.

Very clean looking addition to your bike. I like 'em. You'll never have to hold that gallon of milk on the seat with you again!

They are great, and no excuse not to ride everywhere every day.

I only have a SW Motech Pro tank ring and a Pro Daypack tank bag on my Honda CB SevenFifty yet. Got them this Summer. Installing the tank ring was easy and quick, i only had to borough a fitting hex key, my swiss Army Knife hadn't the right size ;-). Victorinox Cybertool 34. I bought the tank ring and tank bag direct at the SW Motech Headquater, they have a Open House sale once a month and it is not to far from where i live.

Nicely made video which came over very well! I agree that for practical purposes side bags (or panniers as we like to call them) are far better than a lot of alternatives. However, I do worry about weight being born partly by the grab rail support mountings.. I've seen photos of at least one person having his frame break off completely (not covered by warranty). .. it's just a concern but I'd keep the payload light myself.

Very beautiful. The only negative thing is that they protrude a lot and it is not clear why the supports have not been made to be less protruding.

Thanks, they have really made it possible to use the GT as my main transportation. They do stick out, right after I shot this video, I clipped my tractor rolling into the shop and scuffed one of the cases.

Super job! 2 questions though: can a pillion sit on the back OK with thepanniers in place? Also, where did you get the indicators from, the they're great!

I am pretty sure the passenger would have room. I got over the hump on my single seat and tried my feet about where the passenger pegs would be and was not hitting the bags. It seems that the US models came with the round signals and the rest of the market got the square ones.

Nice job....on a great looking bike! What paddock stand do you have?

My wife got that for me, I don't think it has a brand on it. Moto D and Venom have similar models on Amazon.

Nice! Been looking for saddlebags for my Conti GT and these are perfect! Thank you! Does the short windscreen cause any wind issues/buffeting with your helmet?

I am 5'9" and the windscreen works pretty good for me. The air is hitting towards the top of the helmet but there is no buffeting. Some people say it does nothing but you can feel the change if you raise your hand in front of you while going down the road. The bags are great, they make the bike a practical daily ride.

Ah yes, the ritual of the backpack motorcycle jacket dance. You've got to have a cool deficit and it's best to get it out of the way before the ride lest you pay the price on the ride and kill the bike in an intersection for absolutely no reason.

can the bags fit a helmet?

@@darkenblade986 No helmet lock. I use a seat leash(a small cable lock for bicycle seats) to lock my helmet to the bike.

Don’t put bags on yer RE. It’s not cool.

I can't see them when I am on the bike and it makes the bike a daily ride.
