Damn, this brings back some memories. First performance street bike I got as a teenager was a vj22 in Lucky Strike colours. One of the most memorable times in my life riding that machine. Nearly killed me too, but was worth every minute.

Great project, I’m really pleased for you! Crazy how for some reason your youth and the bike you so loved back in the day never leaves your heart (1974 RD250 in my case) Can’t wait for the following videos as you go forward.....great stuff👍

This brings back some great memories, along with a GSXR400 that was a fun bike to ride. The RGV was an incredible bike to ride and it probably weighs less than I do. 😂 Have fun chasing that power band and I’ll look forward to seeing your progress with this. 👍

Yeah the 90’s 400’s were cool to , I had the ZXR 400 and a GSXR 400 (briefly) too, awesome little bikes, just always loved the 250 strokes , chasing the power band is what I’m looking forward too :)

@@ProjectMoto I had all the 400's from Honda, NC21, baby RC30 (NC30), baby RC45 (NC35, why Honda?), the only i4 400 I had was the FZR. Which was also a brilliant bike. Took that to a Donny trackday, have a nice picture of me on that with the Dunlop bridge in the background. Why do they ruin everything? On a happier note, new ZX4RR looks amazing...

Love it this will make brilliant content I’ve had a few of these over the years 😉 just building a ypvs 350 supermoto it’s interesting 😉 enjoy I’ll catch ya on the next video 😊

Just seen this video, it’s a shame they don’t make bikes like this anymore. I have a 1999 aprilia RS250 which I’ve owned from new. It’s had many upgrades over the years but the biggest improvement was the installation of a Zeeltronic Performance Ignition System. Good luck with the project👍

Nice bike! I mean the RGV ("Big Dog" not so much). It's hard to tell on video. But, the engine sounds very good.

Thanks , appreciate it, yeah the engine sounds really good, there is a few bigger cc options .. see what happens with this engine, one option I guess is an RG500 engine 😂

The RGV looks gorgeous! The plastics look really clean, and looks like it goes well too. I’ve never ridden the 250…..But I’m hoping to be in Essex at some point this summer Hint…..hint! 🤣 I’m half embarrassed to say that I think I do have a Harley purchase in me, just once. Either a fatboy or a “breakout”….. or the latest Indians look quite nice…. Is it an FTR? But it won’t have flames painted on it…… didn’t you think it kinda suited Paul though!!
