Nice video!I love doing the brakes on my 12. To make life easier, for the next change over, I clean the hub with a wire wheel and hit it with anti seize. Also want to make sure to clean off the oil they use at the factory to keep them from rusting while they sit in the warehouse. I forgot to do that once and ruined my rotors, once they overheat, it tempers the rotor. No good. Another trick I learned to help put the bracket back is to put a lug nut on so the rotor butts up against the hub and keeps it from wobbling when putting the bracket bolts back in. Lastly, I always clean the brake pad brackets, put new clips in, lube the bottom of the pads and put new syil-glide on the pins, keepin it stopping like new!

Yeah I have the new brackets and eventually replaced them. My calipers in the rear had to be replaced. Both kept locking up

@@AnythingAuto I have a '12 also, and since the rears on Kizashi's don't have the same design as far as the caliper brackets go.... should I be tightening the bolts that go into the end of part where the sliders until they don't turn anymore? One side, on the rear of mine, tightens up all the way- and the other side just keeps spinning (like it's stripped out?) I don't know- guess that means I need to buy a new caliper for that side. [side note- I def DISLIKE the design of 'floating calipers'- like 85% of cars on the road in the USA have.. the fixed calipers with opposed pistons, that actually squeeze from both sides are so much nicer in not only looks, but design!]

I just noticed that the bolts on the fronts have those flat spots that keep the inside bolts from turning when you turn it. The rear has nuts on them- that I held to keep from spinning with a 2nd wrench--- but are you supposed to be able to tighten the outside bolts until they aren't able to turn anymore?

@@AirRideFanatic yeah a lot of cars do the bolts in the rear and yes that bolt should tighten and not be able to spin anymore. You may have cross threaded if forced. Check the bolt to see if all threads are there
There are usually 10mm tapped holes on rotors where you can insert 10mm bolts to easily remove the rotor... don't need lube, don't need to beat anything with a hammer.

I hate those. That small bolt usually has 3 or 4 threads into the rotor and not enough power to remove seized on rotors. I would rather use a hammer (if replacing rotor) and not waste time with that.

You for watching I hope you liked and Subscribed. That was so long ago I do not know the exact parts that I used but I do see I used coated rotors which I would not purchase again just because after a few months that coating wore off and they rushed just like normal rotors.

Are those Bosch QuietCast rotors? That's all I run on my daily driver anymore... such a nice finish on them.

No, I do not remember the brand though. So long ago. They were nice for a couple months then rusty like normal

wow is it really that easy, is there no need to clamp hoses ect.and do brakes not need to be bleeded of air or even changed fluid maybe ? im thinking of doing this myself but do not want to mess anything up

Yes and whatever lifetime warranty parts you can find will work fine. It's not a large vehicle you tow with and you cannot race them so anything will do
is it necessary to bleed the brake system after changing pads?

Can we use a rotor from different vechile. Which fits exactly with kizashi. Becoz i find difficult to find part for my car in my place.

All you'll need is a part number but yes. I sold a set to a guy with a Toyota so I'm assuming they fit with his too.
