Suyata Fokker & Red Baron - Part 2 (Final)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I guess I was tired when I attached the wings as I had a hard time getting everthing aligned. I found the decals were more slippery than sticky but I was able to complete the build and paint the figure. It did turn out well in the end.

Thanks Oron, maybe I was tired when I was assembling it but it seemed like you needed 4 hands to align everything. I'll do the egg plane next.
Well done, Steve! That turned out awesome. You persevered despite the difficulties to have a fun model and figure.

Thanks Charlie, I just finished the egg plane build and working on the final video.
Looks good Steve, I always make the snap kits, non snap and glue them, I didn't paint the figure for that exact reason, still in the bag, 😎👍

I think it would have helped if I had glued the wing supports in before trying to fit them together, I'd get one side in and something else would fall off. The figure painted up fine with the primer on it, then I hand brushed three coats of each colour using craft acrylics and it turned out fine.
It does look great completed Steve. I wouldn't have thought it was as much as a trial as it must have been. It is really cool looking with the figure.

I found it difficult to align the wing supports without something falling off, guess I should have used more glue. The figure painted up well once it was primed.

I love these! I did the Sopwith, but I gave my Fokker to one of my buddies!! I have to get another one! You've done a great job on this!!

Thanks for the comment Tim, it's a little tricky trying to line up the supports to attach the wings, I should have glued the supports to one of the wings first. The body halves were also tricky to push together over the interior.
Looks really good . Good job

I struggled with the fit of the body over the frame, it was a very tight fit, and getting the wing supports to line up. But it does look good once it's done.
Looking good!

Thanks for the comment Shaun, I like it now that it's finished. Some parts are a tight fit and some are tricky to align.
It turned out great in my opinion Steve. It looked easier that it actually way.

It may have been easier if I'd glued the smaller support parts in place before attaching the wings, the tolerances on the fit are very tight.
Sorry about The Problems BUT It Turned Out Pretty " SPIFFY " After All. Have a Blessed Week Ahead Brother 🙏🤗 Gary.

Thanks Gary, it does look good now that the hard work is done. 😀
Too bad 'the carpet monster' ate up that part that fell. Very strange that the figure is not a rigid plastic, but at least it came out nice in the end. Baron Manfred von Richthofen (and Sargent Schultz for that matter) would be proud.

I was able to use a piece of sprue for the missing support rod. The figure took the paint well after letting the primer dry overnight.
