The first time I heard and watched this (on Adam Straughan's channel), it wrecked me for a few days. So splendid and poignant it's almost transcendental.

An incredible song and artist. 😢 Thank you for your reaction and thoughts. A few brief things: - Lene Marie passed away after the documentary was completed. - I’m pretty sure that’s her mother at the art exhibition, yes. - Many of her portraits are of victims of the refugee crisis on the island of Chios in Greece. - And lastly, the synopsis: “The documentary Self Portrait is a portrait of an artist and a portrait of a deadly disease. Lene Marie Fossen was a gifted photographer who suffered from severe anorexia. Self Portrait is a film about the power of art, but it also raises important questions about what treatment one who suffers from severe anorexia needs.” Anyway... perhaps something from Susanne Sundfør’s Ten Love Songs next time. Far lighter, an homage to ‘80s synth-pop and other genres she likes.

I know what's coming, but I still cry every single time I watch this video.

Lene Marie Fossen lived with anorexia since she was ten years old, and through her own stories and experiences, we get along well on her way to her inner gate. This is SO SO hard to listen to without crying

Same! And I keep crying to it over and over again. But its interesting to see how people react to it.

That is a powerful song, very emotional and very raw with the video in it. More of Susanne Sundfør if you want, you should react to UNDERCOVER studio version.

the black & white live version is imo better for a reaction. the studio version only has the album cover art and lacks the incredible ‘ending’ of the stoller hall one. :)

Please... watch the documentary SELFPORTRAIT... it's hard to watch. But it is so important. And she deserves it... 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 the music is so delicate and tender, gentle... I can't imagine another song to go together with these pictures... be blessed 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

She was a beautiful girl yes its the refugees in Chios Greece she has an article called Chios is her life so you know where she worked every summer and winter the black and white pictures of the old and young beautiful people awsome showing and yes that’s her dear sweet mother Torill she also was holding the rose while was looking at all her displayed pictures so sad I want her white chiffon white dress it flares out beautifully awsome job 🙏🏼🤗🤩🤩😇😇😇😭😭😭😢😢i would have love to met her and her family I want to go to Europe one day Norway and Greece take pictures like she did of these refugees lene Marie lived with her parents in Norway Kolbu Norway toten i lit some candles on the day she passed I had her image pictures of her with Morten krogvold he is the head honcho of Nordic of lights festival of all her art pictures I want to buy her movie on DVD I’m watching for when it comes out in English I also want her special addition hard cover it’s called the gate keeper it explains all about her it would be a book for sure to read again and again Rest In Peace we will look forward to meet lene Marie fossen one day prayers to her dear family 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤗😍🥰😇😇😇 you should watch her interview with Morton krogvold he is a photographer himself it’s call nostalgia on you tube so you know all about her experience going to Greece
