Much as I love David, I cannot believe he did not know how the gorgeous Susan felt about him. I saw on another channel a video including when on set, he leaned in and kissed her and she kissed him back.

Yes, I knew it. But he cut the cord between them. I really felt sorry for her because of the way David Cassidy treated her. She is a beautiful lady. 😍

I could never understand why David didn’t notice Susan was madly in love with him. Lots of Photos of him with his arms around her and a very short video clip where he leans over to her and they meet in a kiss, not what you would do to someone if you thought of them as your ‘sister’. He missed a good one there, I can only imagine what their children would have looked like. ❤️

Susan can act, and even though LA Law was cheesy, she has proven many times over that she has more than just amazing looks. The Trouble with Dick was underrated.

@@obscurelyvague It was OK sometimes. A very famous show. Depends on your taste for mainstream television. By cheesy I meant kind of cliche, not always well written or realistic. Like all the cop shows and hospital shows become soap-opera like after a while, with bad writing? The acting was always good, though. Grace was solid and left at the right time. Proved to the world that "Laurie Partridge" was far more than a pretty face.

I was madly in love with Susan Dey when I was a kid, but she didn't know I was alive. I mean literally - she didn't know I was alive. 😆😆😆😆

Shirley Jones is a common name.

Fell in love with her in the movie "First Love" terrible title but really good movie. Great cast.

My first wife, of 6 years. was a Susan Dey look alike with the same slim figure, beautiful eyes and long brown hair. Susan's mouth is so unique I can says my wife's was close, at best. My wife also suffered anorexia prior to our marriage which came a short while after what I thought was going to be a one-night stand on New Years Eve!! Married for the last 38 years to a women that most resembles Bo Derreck. Life has been good to me.

I fell in love with her when the partridge family came out.. I was crazy about her. she was so beautiful

@@TodaysDante Peggy Lipton reportedly dated Elvis and also tried to date Paul McCartney during the Beatle's heyday but rumor has it when she showed up at Paul's door he slammed it on her face because Linda Eastman had already roped him. Oh I notice that Peggy Lipton did remind me of Susan Dey. They look a bit alike although I think Lipton was significantly older.

What an achievement for Susan Dey at 17 yrs starring as Laurie in the Partridge Family. My greatest achievement at 17yrs was passing my UK driving test.

I have been a Susan dey fan for years. Susan was on another show called "emerald point" which didn't last long.

When the Patridge was on tv I had a CRUSH on Susan Day though she was 10 years older than me, I always cared about her, and hope that she would have a great acting career. Susan Day did turn out to be a great woman, and now in 2023 she still looks great. Love you Susan, wish you a looooooog life.

The scenes on The Partridge Family weren't shot in the correct order. The scenes with the kids were shot first and Shirley Jones and Dave Madden shot their scenes last. Did you ever notice when all of the characters are supposedly in the same room together, it's always a close up of one person talking as if they were alone?

In photography, it is called a "One Shot" which may or may not be also a "Close Up" depending on the direction.

On Happy Days, Chuck Cunningham was sent upstairs and was never to be seen again.

I thought it was cool that during casting that they wanted David's "sister" to look like a girl version of David, and they picked Susan Dey. They wanted them to look almost like beautiful twins, though they weren't twins on the show.

We watched her in LA Law in the student lounge when I was in law school.

She was also very enjoyable in the made for TV adaptation of Little Women in the late 70s along with Meredith Baxter (Birney) and Eve Plumb among the cast. I recently watched the whole thing over again. I also thought she would have made a better recast for Pamela Sue Martin's Fallon Carrington on Dynasty than Emma Samns but at the time she was well into her role on LA Law!

Ironically, Meredith Baxter was David Cassidy's dream girl. I read about it in David's book .

I was young when i saw re runs. I didnt know the names of all the actors and actresses. I liked when they sang. Years ago my dad told me the lady in his office son wasnt for me when she asked if i wanted to meet her son. I met him and my dad was right. I recall LA Law. I dont really follow famous people.

I liked her on this show and L.A. Law. Saw one of her TV movies about her character killing a child, perhaps her own? I can't recall the name. Could be the first one he talked about.

You weren't the only one; I too, had some romantic fantasies, about Susan. It's too bad she had a "crush", on David Cassidy. David, being "Hollywood Royalry" (His father was Jack Cassidy); and that She suffered from anorexia, which Karen Carpenter died from. Frankly, I thought she was a "little" skinny, but She had beautiful brown hair, and blue eyes; I would have liked to have seen her, a little "curvy". Either way, I wasn't consulted. I was not that big a fan, of most of the shows and movies She appeared in (I am not a fan, of most situation comedies, or dramas), but maybe I will check out some, now. She didn't seem to have a lot of luck, in Love, maybe she was a little too vulnerable, or chose the wrong guys; loosing her Mother, at a crucial age, probably didn't help; but Shirley Jones was more experienced in Show Business, and life, and tried to help Her. David Cassidy had his problems, too; but I hope He was able to work through them. On a couple of side notes, Susan and David, were OLDER siblings, on "The Partridge Family" (Danny Bonaduce, was the Younger Brother, and helped "manage" the "Family Business", and, there was a "Younger Sister". Shirley Jones was the "Family Matriarch" and single). The inspiration for the Show, were "The Cowsills", a family "rock group", of the Late '60's "Hippie-Woodstock" Culture, from Ohio.
