In fact u can see she’s got a higher IQ on average than most ppl, the empathy she shows it can only come from a very smart person & the way she overcame difficulties... she is an example for humankind i think ❤️

Also the fact that she understands the nature of her condition that well proves she's actually above-average smart.

I love stories of bullied underdogs becoming number 1. I'm so proud that she had the best selling album of 2009 worldwide.

Thank you for the interview. I cried when I heard what had been done to her through her life. Reminds of Job in the Bible. Now God has blessed this very humble lady. I don't think anyone will ever top her success. And she is still so grounded, as she uses that word. I hope they do a movie about her. Better, yet, if she could star in it. We all love Susan. Piers, you should give her a great big whopping hug and kiss! There is nothing wrong with this angel!

God bless you, Susan Boyle, and I'm so glad you were discovered. Your story is so inspirational and some people are so cruel. Everyone needs to everyone a chance. Thank you for opening so many people's eyes.

Even when she auditioned on BGT, people bullied her. I saw people rolling their eyes, including that infamous girl in blue. They were even snickering. I'm glad she shut them all up as soon as she began singing! People are so stupid and insensitive, especially the ones who bullied her during her childhood.

Bullies grow up and often regret what they have done or said to peers but they don't realize what hurt they have caused. No wonder parents don't like their children labeled today. Not being a good test taker does not mean "stupid". Susan is quite intelligent and has also written quite a "good read". Good for you.

Susan is correct that "psychologically abuse is the worst kind." I’m not saying that physical abuse is not severe, but the bruises go away, but psychological bruises are here to stay and it will take a lot of 'undoing' to erase that aspect. Many victims will have the defense mechanisms to deal with psychological pain, but then there are those who are forever victims and whose lives will be permanently scared.

I totally agree with Susan it is the parents fault for the way there kids treated her....i raised 3 boys and if they saw someone either being picked on or hit....well lets just say the bully's got what was coming to them....and yes Susan your mom is there with you..........Bless You

As an only child I totally understand the hurt and a certain amount of anger Susan feels. My mother lied on her marriage certificate , lied to me througout my life, and .....finally , a devout Catholic, commited suicide , when I was 18 , wishing to be cremated !!!! My Mother grudgingly gave birth to me , made my life hell , ( my Pah's too) . Pah was an amazing man , passed in 1984 .... So proud to have given him a granddaughter and three Grandsons ( last 2 were twin boys ) . The hurt never diminishes , but the talent is always visable

Sounds to me like eejit is actually idiot pronounced in a mocking sort of way. Another thing...I do appreciate the subtitles. I usually very good at figuring out what people say with any kind of heavy accent, but without the subtitles at the bottom even I would have trouble figuring out what some of these people were saying with some of the thick Scottish accents.

How horrible to have teasing like that. I got bullied badly too, but I don't know if it comes to the level of horribleness Susan got. Can someone tell me what an eejit is? Does it mean idiot? So sad she lost her mum. I felt like crying when she cried :(. I like her a lot as she is humble and funny and has went through so much. I definitely look up to her!

So sad when she says how much psychological abuse can hurt and on her audition she was treated so badly just like she has all her life. Just so disgusting how people are and if she didnt have that beautiful talent people would still be treating her badly. Im genuinely so disgusted in peoples behavior so much for "most people are good"
