Still my favorite and in my opinion, the best Survivor season there ever was! About as perfect a cast as there could be (with like 4 exceptions, but their still fun)

@@duckyofdoom710 when they recorded the season of heroes vs villain's it was recorded only a few months after russels first time playing so when they aired season 19 they already recorded all of season 20 hero's vs villians and russell wouldnt have known he lost

Who would you want on the villains tribe? There are a ton of choices for hero with how nice most people are but I wonder who they'd choose for villains

⁠​⁠​⁠@@GarfieldEats420 there’s lots of people who could be spun as villains still especially from older seasons. In the new era alone Shan, Omar, Tori, and even Jesse and Ricard stand out as more cut throat game play. Rodney (30) (or anyone really from this season lol), Ryan and Chrissy (35), Jason and Scot (32), Alicia (24), Tori (42), Kass (28), Abi (26), Albert (23), Bradley (36), Angelina (37), dom (36). Island of the idols might be out of the question but def some choices there too.

Heroes v. Villains is definitely an S-tier season between the cast, the gameplay, and one of my all-time favorite winners.

Corinne replacing Danielle takes this season to another level

Great season! I have it ranked at number 4

It lands differently these days than it did back then. It's kind of like watching _Avengers_ after _Infinity War_ and _Endgame:_ What had once been mind-bogglingly impressive now feels almost quaint.

Nah, it hits the right spots. The modern movie would be wandering land, a mediocre subpar rendition of the the story that everyone treats as a revolution to the series.

Best season ever. Parvati deserved win but Sandra good as well. 😊

The first season to film before the previous season aired its first episode. Russell is the very first Survivor player to have this benefit.

Heroes vs Villains is one of the best seasons of survivor ever. The cast, to the strategy, to the production quality, it makes for an awesome experience. Though my personal bias makes it not in my top 5 favorite seasons to watch. I find Russel and Parv extremely annoying, and having them dominate the screen time has me rolling my eyes a lot. My most hated moment is when Tyson changes his vote and gets booted because of that. I would have much preferred, Sandra, Rob, Courtney, Jerri, Coach, and Tyson being the leading alliance. Imo that would mean more time with more fun players but also still getting good strategy. Of course, that is just how I feel on it. I don't like seeing Russel constantly then getting to the end again.

Survivor needs to go back to this original.....I hate season 41 to 45 never finished any of the seasons they we're too boring I would Rather watch any season before 40

This is my favorite season followed by winners at war

HvV is everything what Winners at War should have been

Seasons 1-16 are the best and it started going downhill once they switched to HD and that was season 17 when they were in Gabon. It started going downhill from there despite still having a few good seasons but it was never the same and it got even worse when they started getting all political. The newer episodes make it seem like it’s not even a real survival show anymore but the older episodes made it feel more raw and authentic and that’s what I liked about it. Classic seasons like Borneo, Africa, Palau, Pearl Islands, etc… And classic characters like Richard, Ethan, Jerri, Rob, Amber, Rubert, Sandra, Terri, Danielle, Ozzy, Parvati, Jonathan, Stephenie, Tom, etc… Heros vs Villians was definitely one of the best seasons of all time.

If they had to assemble a team of villains from the new era I think it would most likely be Shan, Tori, Karla, Dee, Elie, Ricard, Jesse, Omar, Danny, and Bruce. You’re right there aren’t many villains cause some of these were a stretch lol. They’d have to go further back than the new era to get a good cast

I hope survivor reaches this high of highs in the new era because 40 didn't quite do what HvV was able to do

OMG I just realized. Coach is SUCH a "Pick Me" boy, holy crap. Like, there wasn't a word for it back when this season aired, but he so is.

Boring? Maybe. Worst? Not even close. She played smarter than a lot of winners who won. Not all games have to be flashy, Danni can testify to that.

unfortunately like DvG the winner being a transphobe makes rewatching not as fun anymore.
