I was baffled by Liz’s confidence against everyone after Maria’s vote off. The story of her game was not having control of the narrative behind “her big moves”. I was honestly hoping Liz made Final Tribal so we could see whether or not the jury agreed with Liz’s perception of her perfect game.

The “I’m a millionaire” lie is really interesting strategy unfortunately I think Liz was delusional about her ability to change peoples perception of her at the 11th hour (she also acted like someone who really needs to be in control at all times and someone who thinks very highly of themselves and their abilities the entire time) and I think even if she got to end and said just kidding it was already way too late

honestly there is so much more that we didn’t see . i’ve been seeing everywhere that Liz apparently was playing a really good game but it was edited down to like make her look like a crazy weirdo.

@@ilTHfeaa definitely true, we didn’t see everything and it’s possible she was playing a lot better game than we saw but she was acting like she had the game won, she literally told the final three “I would’ve beaten all of you”. Even if she was playing a lot better than we saw, I have a hard believing she was driving more of the votes than Charlie and I don’t think anyone believes she was as well liked as Kenzie so it doesn’t really make much difference if she was doing more than we saw, I don’t think she would have beaten either one of them at the end.

She hit giving out a million with her last gifting.

My biggest issue is what was her plan to deal with food. Out of all of the players in Survivor foraging for food would have made a lot of sense to be her primary focus due to her allergies and would have been a perfect cover to search for idols.

This explains a lot of Liz' game. I'm glad she got her chance to tell her story here but I wish she did that on live TV.

she already stated in like confessionals what some of her “allergies” did/her symptoms and they’re not allergic reactions, they’re mostly just like sensory things i think. maybe intolerant to something but idk if she has any actual like deadly allergies. like i’m mildly allergic to kiwi and pineapple but i can still eat it.. it just makes my mouth tingle. but the thing about that is that if you have a mild allergy like that, it can become a severe one.

some peoples anxiety manifests physically and they can have phantom allergies in a sense. not quite the same thing but i grew up with a kid who his mother was nuts and insisted he had every possible allergen and grew up avoiding practically everything. once he went to college and had some freedom turned out he was barely allergic to anything at all. however growing up and being told you will die if you eat this thing meant a lot of anxiety all the time and if he would come into contact with something he was "allergic" to, he would basically have a panic attack and convince himself he couldnt breath etc. which to him meant those were "allergic" reactions.

Not the best strategy to try to play the millionaire. But, to each their own. Her ‘put off’ to me, was that she signed up with her food ‘allergies’, then played the victim, of not being able to eat anything. Why even sign up? Was it just a pity story and not even true? It did get her a personalized rice portion, but how fair was that to everyone else? She had a tad bit of entitlement, and self grandiosity. I see through tactics like that, and I know those ‘plays’ don’t win in life. But, I wish her the best, and I think the show will make her a better person.

Hats off to Liz for rewarding who she deemed to be the best strategic player with her vote...that's always how you'd hope a juror would be even if they feel some type of way about losing. Liz was good quality all season and true comedy gold!

This was a logical, sane, and well thought out interview! She wasn’t my favorite on the show but maybe that was just her edit.

I never got the sense that her edit was wildly different from what she described in her pregame interview with Mike, so I just went back and listened. She didn’t mention or even allude to needing the money when she answered her reason for being there on two different occasions. It makes no sense to lie in pregame press! Consider me skeptical of what she’s saying now that she’s out on the other side.

I don’t like voting based on “need”. It should be based on how they got to the final three.

i remember being so surprised when the season started because liz seemed so different during her preseason interviews. this explains a lot!! hope we get to hear more from her soon!

I don't dislike Liz. It's just that Liz is one of those people who makes you tilt your head to the side and say "Whhhhaaaatttt???"

Liz and Q both said they think they're very similar. I don't know if that means they could do great work together or are doomed to destroy each other.

My thoughts exactly. I felt pretty cringy about Liz and her strategy of playing was very odd but I have a new respect for her Knowing she voted using her brain as opposed to these sappy bitter people (maria) that vote all emotional.

Liz actually seems like a vibe, I get why she never had her name written down… she was great tv.

This interview was really insightful. I have to say though, I disagree that her working with Q after her very public show of disdain for him would make the jury think she’s a flip-flopper and they can’t vote for her? I mean, wouldn’t that be a reason TO vote for her? Because she’s able to set her own personal feelings aside and do what’s best for her game? I feel like that would be a sign of a winner who is focused on the $1mil and doesn’t limit themselves to only working with people that they like.

I really like seeing this side to her that the show never put in. I don't think her plan would have worked. Maybe at final 6 is the time to put the truth more out there. So that way whoever ends up on the jury could prime the other jury members there is more to you. That FTC is only like 20 minutes. Even if they were impressed, I feel like it would be too much of a shock in such a short amount of time to think it over, or they would have thought she was lying.

Still though, nobody would be digesting what she said when they had to listen to the other players speak. So they maybe think about Liz's big reveal for maybe 10 minutes total, and have to decide if it's true and was it a worthy strategy.

@@swaggery Yea that 30-second limit was wild, never seen that before and I absolutely hated it. But it’s uncommon. But it is hard to drop bombs and flip perception of you at FTC, totally agree. I think I’ve seen one example, and that was on Australian Survivor.

I may not’ve been completely on board the Liz train, but she pulled off a damn good facade, every move had me saying “ok, I at least understand how this would be the most rational thing for Liz to do,” or “I understand why one would have that reaction in the context of a game for a million dollars where you shouldn’t care about making lifelong friends.”

Liz will always be a millionaire in my heart. She oozed confidence even when she was on the bottom. She walked with an air of boss energy even if we couldn’t understand what her game was. Queen stuff right there 😎. Never regretted stanning her this season.

Not watching cause it's Liz but just came here to say, "Booo Booo (throws tomato throws tomato)" the most obnoxious player in years. Poor sport, tried her best to manipulate but not a single person, even Jeff could stand her. Hope she fades into the background as soon as possible. Super rude to completely step on Kenzie's winning moment to steal attention YET again. Not watching, just speaking out in HOPES that she sees it to get a reality check that she is not liked as a player and should work on those nasty personality flaws of her, of which there were many. I can't imagine the even worse stuff the editors left out. She owes Kenzie a huge apology for stealing the stage during the moments after Kenzie won. If this comment gets me hate, so be it, someone has to tell her, she's clearly been coddled her whole life and people haven't been honest with her about big glaring issues.

I lost respect for her when she went off on Q after writing his name down just because he did not invite her for food . All the big tears and anger came off as very vindictive and selfish. She says “ I get over things quickly” is not true at all, she held that grudge until that nutty Q got voted off.

This interview exposed the lies and the poop she held for 3 weeks and vaporized. I'm confused which one to believe. No millionaire is a fan of Applebee with all that sugar rush and calories. Rich folks can afford healthy organic meals. She should have practiced at home before she left for Fiji

Liz didn't get a chance to talk about her game at FTC and convince the jury, but she convinced me that I would like for Liz to have a second chance at playing the game.
