If ya happy with them , but your way over stocked. Give them 4 or 5 chucks between now and next week and get the lot into the last few races . Let the race basket sortt them . U might as well give the ones ya don't want a chance to prove them selves on a race day. If your club is like the rest of us, next week u'll be around the 200 mile mark. I wouldn't have any issue jumping the lot . Even the latebreds.

Awesome advice and post. It’s pretty much my exact plan. Our Federation is pretty small and so they have 2 comeback races planned for 11th and 18th September. My plan is to get them all trained up in increments and put them all into the first comeback race, it’s only 70 miles, some are moulting bad so may need to be a little selective but then again, I don’t need anywhere near all 23 so we’ll see. Like you say, let the basket do the hard work.

After the illness your birds have had I think you are, in my experience, making a big mistake putting them back on the road. Those birds won't be right for at least 3 weeks and to race them isn't a good idea. If you do you will be lucky to get any back. I once sent 12 after having yb sickness, they were exercising well around home and even short tosses were good, but when I put them into the race we didn't get a feather back!
