Sad, but true. Keep an eye on that guy. I wonder if this type if behavior sets off red flags with internal affairs, or if they're overly pragmatic, and only go so far as to look into the "alleged" crime before them? I really do wonder what else that guys been up to. I have learned that, by law, the fire department is not obligated to take punitive action while an employees police matter works its way through the justice system, and they reserve the right to maintain employment all the way up to judgement. Oh, and of course there's probably a little bit of corruption with a smattering of nepotism within the local gov so unless the chief isn't well liked he's probably just gonna get a slap on the wrist. If that. Could end up being a factor of small town beaurocracy festering in a political quagmire. Wheres this all taken place? Piscataway, NJ? Yeahhhh.... Here are the "core values" pulled directly from the station website "To save lives, protect property, and serve our community with courage, commitment and compassion". Ooopsies.
