Good to see a great squash short!

I was struggling for breath just watching Cardenas. Hope he got back to his chair ok !

I was watching for Cardenas to lose his lunch!! To compete at such a physically demanding level he needs to trim 10-20 pounds. Momen worked him like a mule.

You can’t play that defensively at this level. You’ll just get picked off. I don’t think I saw one aggressive counter from him. I’m surprised he got to the score he did but only due to Momen’s tins I guess

How Momen dictates his opponent to move short and long is unmatched by any other squash player.

@@simonburrows240 I'd disagree. Coll, Elias, and Farag do not switch to long-short as frequently as Momen. The aforementioned do use the court's open space more effectively than Momen, but it's definitely a lower frequency of long-short variation compared to Momen. IMO this is what makes Momen more exciting than the others, but it does not always translate to being a better player.

Needless to say, all 3 of them are also more efficient in movement as compared to Momen.

mmmh, racquet sports in Paris... Are they going to schedule squash matches too at 1 AM in the morning ?

Momen's game where he swats the ball like a badminton shot is so influriating to watch, cant imagine what its like to play against. Horrible brand of squash.

I used to watch Momen's highlights and all I see is how he plays the drops 50% of the time, but from 7-10 down I found Momen's squash absolutely breathtaking. The way he controlled Cardenas from then and especially at 10-10, his backhand volley drops are executed beautifully.
