Situation with conduct stroke for Rodriguez was not shown in this clip. Worth seeing, pretty unfair from the Colombian.

Must have intentionally left it out. No other explanation. I wonder why though?

It was a risky play but I didn’t think it totally unreasonable. The pros have pretty good awareness and you see them play the ball while turning on it quite often these days. If you watch the clip, Soliman was closer to the mid court, then stepped toward the side wall at the last moment. Rodriguez was trying to avoid him. Should an amateur play the ball there? No. If anything, I tend to throw up a high boast to keep the point alive when playing recreationally. In a tournament I would take a let. But you can also see why a pro wouldn’t want to forfeit his advantage in the rally by taking an automatic let when his opponent played a poor, overhit cross court. The optics were bad but I don’t see it as malicious.

Yes, very odd to leave it out.....Given what happened to Lucas Serme last year in this tournament the shot was shameful add to that Rodrigues didnt even apologise....Shame because I love watching him play.

If you don't want your advantage taken away by a let, play it to the left
