All beginner surfers need to look around before attempting. I was guilty of dropping in when I was learning. I think some lineups surfers might even call-communicate this- state which direction the surfer is going. A frames have 2 faces. I agree, newbies should observe from beach 1st. i think Indonesia now even has hand signals.

a beginner can’t even steer their board; hell they’re lucky if they can even catch a wave. you’re telling a beginner to do all these shit when they can barely breathe after paddling

If you yell party wave you’re safe. Especially if you just watched the priority back out of or miss a couple waves in a row. Have fun and be safe out there. Nice tip vid 🤙🏼

Also it doesn't mean that you can just paddle back out to be the inside close to the peak and get priority again. Dudes who catch a set wave and then paddle back out to the inside of the lineup are assholes and you will be out in place

I can’t even say how much this has happened it’s also dangerous cause the find of the surfboard can easily cut your face up it almost happened to someone who cut me off and luckily he only needed a few stitches and only needed a couple weeks

It's hard to tell in all of these clips who was really "at fault", at least to my eyes. Would love an example that actually shows who and why their timing was off and if it looks intentional.

Intention is kind of irrelevant; Most these clips show who’s on the inside and should have right of way.

@@joblo6394 you completely missed their point🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ they can't differentiate between the one on the inside or outside. that's the whole point anf the reason they want more explanation

Doing this is like blocking the game winning touchdown on your team. It’s always the best wave you ruined by also dropping

Would I’d you are up on a wave and you have another surfing just sitting in the water down the line and you collide with them. Who’s fault is it? I only ask because I had the scenario happen today in the water.

...but you can go around them much more easily when you are on the wave. Avoid collisions at all cost. You don't just get to run someone over just because it's your right of way.
