Surface Iron Yellowtail Fishing Aboard The Fury

Ойын-сауық

Another great time with the Offswitch group!
And another big thank you to Danny for putting this together for the rest of us to have these awesome memories. So awesome to be able to meet all of these super cool people that I wouldn't meet otherwise and be able to share the rail with them.
This is most likely going to wrap up my 2020 season as far as sport boat fishing goes, but there might be 1 more if I just cant help myself!
It has been a seriously incredible year of fishing! PB's have been broken, firsts have been caught, friendships have been made, countless fist bumps high fives and smiles have been shared, and endless great memories with all the Offswitch Boys!
Thanks for watching! Please Subscribe and Like the Video!

Mainly just the big ones around the islands this late in the season. The home guards stay year around and the rats follow the water temp. Not too sure how the next 2 seasons will be with all of our kelp paddy yellows getting wiped out lol, but we’ll see. Either way, I’m definitely excited for surface season

I’ve seen a good amount of your videos and you definitely know how to handle big fish so you’ll be fine. Definitely should come on out with us next season man! You are right, they’re filling up pretty fast. He’s listed most of the dates on Instagram already and I think a handful are already completely filled. I purposely set my monetization to only play an add at the beginning of the video for this one. I like to look at my own videos as if I’m a viewer and if I’m watching a 15+ min video I’m okay with 2 adds, but a shorter video I get annoyed with more than 1 add lol. So this one I only set for the beginning of the video. Thanks for looking out though I appreciate it!

You definitely can cast a surface iron on it with the right rod. 8’6”-9’ 20-50# is perfect for slinging jigs on a baitcaster, but I will say, surface iron fishing is just a little more efficient with a conventional reel. I started off fishing the Lexa 400 for surface irons because I wasn’t very good at casting, but as soon as I learned how to cast conventional I stayed with it
