Surface Carp Fishing Masterclass (Floater Fishing) | James Armstrong
Спорт
Korda carp angler James Armstrong showcases THE most exciting way to catch carp! With Spring in full swing and Summer looming, it's from now onwards that improving days of warmer weather and higher pressures will bring the carp up in the layers, and opportunities to catch them on the surface will present themselves.
.
Carp fishing really doesn’t get any more exciting than actually watching a fish take your bait, which is why floater fishing is such an exhilarating form of fishing, yet it is often overlooked or done half-heartedly.
.
In this Surface Fishing Masterclass, James Armstrong shows you exactly how to get the best from this method and the best ways to apply it in varying situations… everything from the simplest form of free-lining floating bread crust, right through to fishing at long range. No stone is left unturned.
.
Whether you are trying this method for the first time, or are already a keen floater angler, you will definitely pick up some tips and tricks when it comes to rigs, tackle and bait to help you increase those all-important bites ‘off the top’!

I love how Korda have put a pinch of Vaseline in a small jar, quadrupled the price and gave it a fancy Korda name 😂 🤦 wicked vid and i love the drone shots. Even though I've been surface fishing for 20 years or so i still picked up some tips from this vid so thank you for the upload😊

Hey, just discovered you today, as was looking for some surface fishing video, as went at the weekend and have no gear for it, went carp fishing on the bottom, but there were alot on the surface. Awesome video and really like the fact you show some that got off the hook, so we know it's just not us losing fish, alot of these videos never seem to show losses so commend you for that! New sub right here! Thanks
Finally some surface fishing , great edit !!
Superb Masterclass Jimmy! 👍🏻

Really nice to see…..a small water to start……light rod, cork handle, one rod and a screaming clutch…so exciting 👍 As someone who only fishes small waters in the UK (mainly because I am serverly sight impaired), i find this so much better watching than a big bowl in France.

Amazing advice ❤❤❤
Absolutely cracking video! Going to be heading out this weekend with my nan to go back to the lake I fished as a kid, been 15 years since I've been there and even though I've got my new pellet waggler setup to try out, still going to have a rod set for free lining bread as that's how I started out and its by far my favorite method! 😁🎣
ihave not tried floater fishing before, but after watching your video, I will give a go as the fish near me are on the surface in this current hot weather. Thanks for your guidance.

Brilliant!
do love surface fishing, and the tactics/methods used by james down to the knots and methodology of the whole vid is how i fish and have done for years.. did 6 hours yesterday, all 5 from the top, smallest an 8lb with two 12lb's, a 15lb and a 17lb.. the visual aspect makes it so exciting, just waiting for the bread to get sucked in and... boooom! fish on! agreed the wildlife can be an issue.. either chase or shoo them away.. or go an bait up somewhere else for the birds!! bags on bird seed can be good to keep them occupied as it goes down through the layers
Epic video 👌
Smashed it Jimmy lad!🔥

lovely lake fish here nearly every week and there's some beautiful carp in here as well as 2 sturgeon.
Very good masterclass Jim! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Also where did you pick up the mixed sized floating pellets?
Hi James, great masterclass - loved it! How do you deal with birdlife when fishing open water at range? I've seen others put a "washing line" across the swim into a far margin but that isn't always possible
Great video, I use the largest interceptor tho always as it helps with hooking and has never caused any issues.

Great video got a lot of tips from it. Do you ever find that the carp go for the float? The lake I take my 9 year old daughter to is very un fished and shallow. The carp seem to come up touch the float and then don’t go near the bread hook bait. They take all the free offerings. I reckon that’s got to be how we are presenting the bait?

@mastodonseven
Жыл бұрын
@Jimmy’s Gone Fishing - By James Armstrong I'm open to learning something. But isn't it a matter of fact a bared hook stays in better and the actual whole "point" of them. So you can make mistake while paying fish without the hook coming out. What I thought anyway? I don't use them as I don't like the idea of causing unnecessary harm to the fish when ripping them out and this will result in me losing more, but i think its worth it as fishing is cruel enough. So I just look at it as an extra challenge and a little more kind. I'm willing to learn something tho
I enjoyed watching this but feel it's made for TV the situations you described are so unrealistic for commical waters the birds would not leave you alone to the point I have given up on surface fishing all it does it cause anger to other anglers, where are the ducks? Seagulls? 👍
