SURFACE FISHING for BIG CARP!
Спорт
Carp fishing with standard ledgering tactics can often be the best method to catch big carp, but when the weather is hot and the fish are on the surface it's time to get the floaters out and catch them off the top.

As a returnee to fishing after 50 years I have found these delightful films utterly engaging, informative and aesthetically crafted. The river koi carp caught next to a main road is rather something else altogether. Well done gentlemen. John K

Use to fish farlows about 35 years ago. Was a head of its time with a cafe and tackle shop. Haven’t seen anything of it since your video. Glad to see it’s still going strong, and the m25 as loud as ever.

Absolutely love surface fishing you guys fished and edited exceptionally well;)
I went surface fishing for the first time last weekend. My daughter and I caught 4 up to 9lb and loved it! I loved the video, you guys are enthusiastic and it's catching. I'm going looking for bigger cats now tomorrow 😀 thanks 👍
Your videos are always inspiring and your editing is always on point! I can't begin to imagine how much time you guys invest in these videos when you get home and while you are fishing... Such a beautiful channel and hopefuly one day I'll get to England and I'll be able to share a session with you two. Keep up the good work!
Loved the banter between u and the fox boys lol great vid lads keep up the good work 👍🏼

Haha thanks Craig, well it was the Fox boys who kicked us out the good swim on lake 1 so we had to try and get them back. ;) hehe
Once again chaps, you've exceeded all expectations! Great video, the soundtrack really did compliment the footage. And the fact I didn't even hear a weight of any of those fish until pretty much the end, was so refreshing! Not all about catching the biggest. Aslong as fun is had and they're scaley pretty ones! Great job👍

well done guys another great video!! We've got a few now as well, including our trip to the Ebro last year. Some great surface fish though guys. I totally agree that there isn't a better feeling than hooking watching the carp engulf the bait off the surface!
Might sound daft lads but I have booked 4 nights fishing at woodlands lakes lodges. 1 June until the 5th. Feel free to come up to Yorkshire for a spot of surface fishing! It’s gonna be a heat wave and you can stay in the lodge if ya want!

What knots are you using here? Great video. Don't know how I didn't see this one before
do you do anything special to the mixers or as you bought them
hi I am huge fan great video could you make one barble fishing please
Another top video Carl and Alex, your editing is real class and those drone scene's really finish thing's off. It's great watching your video's from your early day's as young lad's to see you both growing up. I have a question about those Diawa reel's that you have been using for year's, including in the episode, How do you rate them and how do they compare to the Shimano Bait Runner's please. Best wishe's Lad's.
@fishwithcarl
6 жыл бұрын
The daiwa reels are nice, we've used them for years now, not as hard wearing as the shimano baitrunners, but they are a little lighter I think and nicer in the hand. :)
@baldvale5418
6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply, I spotted some new Baitrunner's for under £40 at go outdoors, so I think that I will have to go for them. All the best Lad's ;)
Lads can you please please let me know when you have a min which model rods you use in this vid clip an what length pls.
That's interesting keeping your line floating, I go fly fishing and whenever i am fishing flies on the surface i try to have my leader sinking or just under because a floating leader tends to spook trout.
@fishwithcarl
8 жыл бұрын
We mostly keep the line floating because as soon as it sinks the bait pulls close to the float and you need the line to be straight to hook the fish better! :)
