8-bit-ish cover of "I'm Not Making out With You" by Surf Curse. Original here: • I'm Not Making out Wit... For the transcription of the guitar part I mostly used this tutorial: • Surf Curse - I'm Not M... and for the rest my ears and a keyboard. Since the first guitar chord of the chorus goes out of key (E major 'instead' of minor), it sounded a bit spooky or like music that would have been used in an old video game. Hence I went with this sort of 'it gets dark again'-theme in the animation of the video. And hey, it's October and therefor soon Halloween.

    Thanks! For the song I used FL Studio, mostly a plugin called "Magical 8bit Plug" (1st Version, it's free on ymck . net) and a chiptune drum soundpack by HardPCM (which I don't find online anymore). Then I transripted the chords and the melody from guitar tab sites into the 8bit plugin as well as the vocal melody by ear. And for the video I re-drew the cover of Surf Curses "Sad Boys" in Gimp (it's also free) with the original as a template but reduced to 32x32 pixels, sized everything up again and animated it in Magix Video Deluxe (not free, not recommended :D)
