Samantha Pressdee (Sammie) is a Comedian, a TV Presenter and runs her own production company.
Part of a series to Support YOU while we support the Community for #RootstoMentalHealth
where we are raising funds here: www.gofundme.com/f/rootstomen...
Sammie is an inspration for us all, she has an amazing prescence and supports many with her work and website: www.pullingittogether.org.uk
Sammie describes that she had a Psychosis after the passing of her Father 6 years ago and the impact this had on her life . At that time, she was admitted to hospital and given a Diagnosis of Bi Polar. Sammie was given a 'Doctors opinion' that she would not be able to work again. She went on to grow and learn, realising her The doctor explained that she would not be able to work, and that she should prepare for the worst. Like many of us who are 'Neurologically diverse' Sammie found her own strengths, continued to work, grow, learn and develop in many ways; whilst she recognised that she could not perform at the same capacity as a 'Neurotypical person', Sammie chose to connect and take notice, starting her own buisiness and encouraging others with the honest, connected sharing of her experiences.
She learnt that you can live with Bipolar and there are alternative treatments and people out there that can help you. Sammie continues to learn and, so far she has learnt kick boxing, yoga, and all about nutrition.
She has completely built a new life style for herself. Sammie explains that you need to find what works for you, but try different things to help you.
Sammie and some other comedians have started a project for mental health called "Pulling Together" where you can find some podcast and blogs.

Well done for turning your life around and finding a positive outlook. Bereavement is often a trigger to uncertain times and it can take a lot of inner strength to break away from its effects. Keep smiling and being yourself. 😊
