Roger Hodgson is a genius. He wrote the lyrics and the music, arranged and sang this song. And now he's still singing and performing at 74Yrs. Check out his KZread channel "Roger Hodgson". New band but same excellence.

I remember in the late 70's that everyone had Breakfast In America by Supertramp. Pretty much every song on it was played on radio. They sure wrote songs with great hooks.

It’s a lesser known song but is my favorite of theirs.

Yay - a shout-out! Thank you! One of my favourite Supertramp deep cuts. A fun one to sing and play, too, even as a solo guitarist. But the Supertramp version has so many tasty textures - the clarinet, the "bouncy" drum sounds, the acoustic picking... and that long slow groove late in the track is magic - and even your cat liked it!

Saw them in 1981 and they were superb. What an incredible collection of musicians.

This is my favorite of theirs because of the way the song was written, and the soothing and enlightened way that they're able to use sounds that fit into the groove of the song.

Thank you for taking on board my suggestion to react to this masterpiece! Great reaction, I thought you 2 would love this, I loved this ever since I first heard it decades ago on my car radio, not knowing who performed the song because the radio announcers didn't back-announce the song...took me ages to find out it was Supertramp. Cheers from an old codger (guy) living in South Australia EDIT: ha ha, I also have a few cat tails and paws to contend with tonight, they always end up in my lap in the evening

Hey Folks, Supertramp is tied with Pink Floyd as my all time favourite band. Depending on which one I’m binging on….at that moment, they are the best. Both groups are master musicians and both write incredible thought provoking lyrics and themes. In third place is definitely Steely Dan. Then Kansas and then Toto, to round out my top 5. Thanks for your reaction.❤️👍🇨🇦

If you haven't listened to Fool's Overture for awhile, it might be worth listening to again. I would also highly recommend Rudy, and The Logical Song. I also highly recommend I'm the Only One, by Melissa Etheridge. She is amazing.

Fool's Overture is always worth listening to, and we do it often. Also, The Logical Song. We actually enjoy other reaction channels when they check out those 2 songs. And, we do know I'm The Only One. Melissa's an amazing artist. We'd be happy to check out her less known songs, since we've never heard anything beyond her hits. We have 'Rudy' on our list for you.

he took nothing from anyone whatever you are thinking the other person took it from him, all supertramp songs are original tothe band , i have all the albums and no credits are give to anyone other than Hodgeson/Davis had it been " lifted / used without permission " they would have been sued.....
