I thought it was good and I loved how gritty it felt. Gave me hope for the DCEU. It took Marvel until Civil War to address the collateral damage. This movie didn’t pull its punches and you knew civilians definitely died. The amount of destruction is realistic too. That city would have been leveled if those two fought all out. Plus people got mad at Superman for killing Zod but I really liked it. It was either the humans or Zod. He chose his people which exactly what Zod’s purpose in life was. They were more common than different. Superman was a combination of everything Krypton so of course he would have some Zod, but also the compassion of his parents and all the other factions of his people.

I still don't get why people hate it.

Most of the criticism of this movie wasn’t about the cgi, zack snyder is one of the best when it comes to fight cinematography and choreography. The criticism was about them taking a much darker approach to superman in this movie since a lot of people were expecting the more classic campy and fun representation of superman

I was mad at this movie because Superman wasn't the Classical Superman I knew but as time went on I started to like and respect Zack Snyder for trying to make his own vision of Superman who's trying to learn becoming a Superhero

It's like doing a Batman origin story but he comes out the gate knowing everything about every villain without learning how to be the worlds greatest detective. Superman has always been criticized for not being relatable like Batman, even though Superman has always been known to he "the most human". So as a die hard Superman and Batman fan, I thought it was a breath of fresh air Snyder decided to show the human side of Superman, and showing he wasnt always the perfect "saving cats outta trees" Superman. He struggled, and had to learn how to become a symbol of hope

And people forget that Chriopher Reeve superman was fucking evil lol. The dude smiled as he beat the shit outta Zod. Atleast Henry's Supes regretted it, and vowed to never do it again

Don't care if I get dragged for this but to me this is the best Superhero film ever. Acting, story, action and CGI was all great. The score by Hans Zimmer is fucking outstanding too. It's highly underrated. Don't get the hate for it at all.

It's cool to see people liking these movies, i personally didn't like them, i love man of steel(but nowhere near one of my favorites) but i hate batmam v superman, so it's nice to see appreciation for them, but i have to admit that warehouse scene was absolutely insane

Well you clearly need to watch more superhero movies, and watch something before you compare it to another, BvS is a mediocre movie just trying to be a real deep film which it didn't start bad, the first half was kinda complex and had some good stuff in it, but the second half was really bad, the dark knight is easily the most "real" superhero movie you'll watch

when we say bad cgi from dc, yet people praise Marvel on infinity War/Endgame but you can clearly see the bad cgi. Take for example War Machine or Bruce in the Hulkbuster

Tbh i don't see people hating on the cgi of dc, war machine looks awsome especially in endgame, hulk buster was dissapointing in infinity war compared to age of ultron, endgame has so much cgi that you probably didn't were actually cgi, it's quite impressive actually, man of steel has amazing cgi, but the problem with snyder especially in bvs is that it's either a hit or a miss, some of the cgi in bvs is amazing, the other stuff looks bad, like doomsday

@@Whateveridksomething for me the couple of shots where I felt off from War Machine was mostly in Infinity War when he was calling out "Sam" or just before cap said "oh god" before the movie ending. However I do hear you on that. It is true, Zack can be a hit or miss. I really did like his Watchmen. One of the major problems people had with Man of Steel was that "Superman" Doesn't kill but yet zack wanted to make the hill before he becomes superman. Han Zimmer, the action in this film was pretty good. Maybe the story was a little eh but it's an enjoyable time

@@tranquilk5912 totally agree, i think hans zimmer score was the best thing in the movie, it carried the movie for me, and i think that Zack snyder just wants everything to be dark just for the sake of it, i don't have a problem with him making a more realistic /dark but you should balance the two, marvel doesn't just make the movies lighthearted because of children, but because they need you to relate and connect to the characters, that's why they are so interesting, the dceu characters expect wonder woman and aquaman and shazam feel boring and not interesting much like Marvel's captain marvel, i never cared about superman dying, Batman was cool and fits the tone and style of snyder, the characters and the world in Zack snyder's movies are all so depressed for some reason, not just the heroes but everyone it makes you feel like it's empty and boring, Metropolis and Gotham should be essential yet they feel like any other city, my point is you shouldn't force a dark theme into a movie that doesn't need it, or at least balance it between dark and lighthearted a perfect example is the daredevil series if you have seen it, i mean the DCEU's best movies are aquaman and wonder woman and shazam because it doesn't just wanna be dark, it makes the tone fit the characters and the world and makes them consistent (which the writers or snyder have been failing to do in bvs) marvel is not perfect, sometimes it overuses comedy and sometimes it kills an emotional moment or a serious scary moment even if the jokes were funny, still exited for the snyder cut tho, and i hope we can stay peaceful in the comment section without starting a war

@@FirstLast-yh7gj definitely not the same, some of them have serious issues, most of them have too much comedy, but the good stuff is REALLY good that it outweighs the bad, they built this franchise from nothing and made some c list superhero into some of the most famous characters ever

This Superman movie is underrated 🔥

Man of steel is one of the better comic films of the decade IMO, incredibly underrated.

I loved the direction Zack Snyder was taking Man of Steel, sad to see how they treated his work on Justice League.

@@junit318 there is none, he is still developing, so you expected him after MOS to have cleared all of his doubts? thats not realistic, so yeah he had to struggle and face the consequences of his actions from the previous movie, in the snydercut, we will see a well matured superman, cleared of doubts(we could see a glimpsy of it in the end of BVS). look man, you are entitled not to like this version of his, but i particularly loving how superman is evolving without jumping phases to become the perfect hero

Man of Steel is underrated tbh, Zod is a damn good villain and Henry plays a good Superman plus he's the best looking Superman in terms of how Superman should look. People are tripping when they say the CGI was trash and those fights scenes are easily some of the best fight scenes in any superhero movie. Man of Steel is THE best Superman movie, change my mind.

@@infamousalex16 If anything he's underpowered if you ask me, Superman has a lot more powers than we ever see in the movies because they only ever let him use his basic powers and regardless of powerful he is, the skinniest man on the planet could whoop his ass as long as he has kryptonite due to how much that weakens him which I don't understand why he can't develop a resistance to it.

Plus he has other weaknesses like magic and stuff. I don't him having kryptonite as a weakness but it always gets on my nerves when someone who's a tiny ass kryptonite rock and completely shuts him down. I'd at least like it if he could power through it for a short time, idk.

No one... literally No one said it was easy. It would have been acceptable if WB productions was some 2 member team working in a garage, with a 3rd gen Intel computer or something. But that isn't the case now, is it?? People were mad bcz it's a frikking multi-million dollar movie backed by multi billion dollar production house with sub-par CGI. So...yeah...not all of it...but some CGI WAS BAD. For that Justice league, some dude on internet made a better job at CGI-ing Henry Cavil's mustache than the movie did. Smh.

@@monkeydee Neither do I. I liked that this movie actually let us see Clark's journey to becoming Superman. Most versions of his origin story focus more on the world's reaction to superman rather than on Clark making the decision to become superman as well as the kind of life someone in his position might live. How does someone go from living their entire life hiding what they can do to using those same gifts you thought they had to hide to become a beacon of hope for the world?

To me man of steel is one of the best superhero films of all time it’s my top five favorite movies of all time honestly. It’s a masterpiece. You guys should definitely react to sons of anarchy though! It’s up there with breaking bad in terms of quality story telling

Could be the best visuals I’ve seen in any movie.

What the hell, guys? It was only getting started! Their fight literally launches into the stratosphere once Zod learns to fly and use the same abilities as Superman in this scene. It becomes a battle of sky gods!

Among other roles, the actor that played Zod was in Oliver Stone's move about 9/11 (World Trade Center). He played the Marine that found the two officers that were trapped in the rubble (2 of the last people found alive)..

Don't listen to the critics, this was imo the best and most underrated superhero movie in existence. The fight scenes and the music were top notch, better than any of the shit they've made since
