If you are gonna watch the rest of DCEU, please watch Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition and not the theatrical version. For reference, the ultimate edition is 3 hrs long and the theatrical is 2 hr 30 min but the extra 30 mins on the ultimate adds alot more.

I would highly suggest watching Superman: The Movie (1978). It is the best Superman film ever made and the love story is very nice. Also Superman II the Richard Donner cut is worth watching.

Michael Shannon (the guy that played General Zod) did such a good job in his portrayal. He revealed in interviews that he played it as if Zod was the actual hero in the film. Zod, the whole time, thought he was in the process of saving his world and Superman was standing in the way. Definitely an interesting way to play it and, once you see it from that perspective, you start to understand how that turned into a great performance.

  • @joshmorales770

Still the best villain in the entirety of the mess that is the D.C.E.U.; Zod was genetically engineered to serve the single purpose of ensuring the survival of his species. In the end, Superman stole that from him and destroyed all that Zod had lived his life to preserve and protect. Zod's loss in that moment, and Shannon's portrayal of it, was done superbly.

Seriously, she needed to be put in a room with no sharp corners because the first time Kal is busy with a natural disaster, she's going to fall off another building and die. Always nice to see more people get into the awesome story of Superman! BTW: Lana Lang and Clark grew up together in Smallville. His first love. Yeah it's a shame the character was great and now it's essentially untouchable. When Man of steel came out I argued that this movie would have been so much better if they had just made Amy Adams character be Chloe instead and dropped the romantic subplot.

Yeah, if there is one thing that pains me from the this movie is the decision to let him die in the most avoidable way. Especially when dealing with not just a superhero, but THE SUPERHERO. Took me forever to accept the possibility that Pa Kent went to save the dog instead of Clark in the first place to leave Clark protecting Ma.
