when Deadpool was interrogating and slaughtering his way through all those criminals, the reason why no one could tell him where Francis is is because they didn't know THAT was his real name, they only knew him as Ajax. If Deadpool had started much earlier on saying "where's your boss" or "where's Ajax" he probably would've gotten an answer right there and then.

"Bob" was a reference to Deadpool's sidekick from the comics.. They couldn't get the rights to use his full name.. Hydra Bob. This movie (and Deadpool 2) are almost perfect. The ONLY things missing from the comics are.. Deadpool has 2 voices in his head besides "his own". A "voice of reason" and an immature, childish voice.. and they constantly converse, and argue with one another... And his undying crush on Spider-Man.. hopefully they can get together in the MCU now.

Random fun fact: Despite Colossus being a Russian character, the guy voicing/playing him is a Serbian actor Stefan Kapičić, who also voiced the main guy in the last episode of S1 of "Love, Death + Robots", called "Secret War". Thanks for sharing! It was a lot of fun seeing you have so many "I understood that reference" moments of your own. 😁 Something that I didn't realise until the second re-watching: The final fight in the reclamation yard isn't on a decommissioned aircraft carrier, as I initially thought, but on a downed *S.H.I.E.L.D. Heli-carrier.* They couldn't explicitly spell it out, since they were licensed by a different studio at the time, back before Disney bought up _everything,_ but the signs are there, if you look for them. Here is a tip for when you watch _Deadpool II_ (if you haven't already): By the time the title credits run, you will likely be _very, very angry._ Do not let that distract you from reading the credits; they will express exactly what you are feeling, thus showing that the writers knew perfectly well what they were doing to you (and all of us, really), not just acting on a whim.

Someone should have pointed out that plummeting a great distance inside a unpadded metal tube is just as bad as having no metal tube. It just keeps your splattered remains in one slushy filled tube rather than scattered over a surprisingly large area.

A fun continuity fact... This movie helps combine all the X-Men movies with the MCU. The final battle between Deadpool and Francis takes place on a heli-carrier (introduced in Marvel's The Avengers).

5:56 Fun Fact: Deadpool uses Desert Eagles chambered in 50. Action Express. 50. Action Express can go through two watermelons and stop at a third one. A human head and a watermelon have about the same density. So yes, it is completely possible in real life.

The aircraft carrier they have the final fight on is supposed to be an Avengers helicarrier. They changed the details enough to dodge copyright. Course, Disney owns Fox now, so those sneaky tricks aren't needed anymore.

Angel vs Colossus is pretty nifty to watch, because it looks like it highlights what skill can do. Colossus is strong and most folks can't touch him (so to speak) so I always took it that he has little actual training in hth combat here. Angel is smaller, but can compensate for that with Gina Carano's skills and pretty nice moves.

Originally, Vanessa was supposed to be a mutant here. Goes by the Copycat. Her powers are basically the same as Mystique’s and she’s a skilled assassin. NSTW powers are different in the comics. Basically has reality warping powers. Almost at Scarlet Witch level.
