That's the point he's just a nice guy with godly powers, but if you get supes angry I suggest you run, short of being a multiversal being and even then I would be cautious. What I love about supes is he is powered by the sun aka light, he is the champion of humanity, he's not op he's the one to save us when all else fails.

If you liked that line, there's another you'd probably like just as much. There's a Teen Titans story when Young Justice first joined the Titans as a weekend thing. Wonder Woman didn't like the idea of Wonder Girl joining up, and she showed up to drag Cassie home. The rest of the Justice League showed up when Starfire blasted Wonder Woman to stop her, and a brawl ensued between the JL and the TT. Superboy's heat vision chose that moment to kick in, out of control, and he burned a huge hole in Superman's cape. Cooler heads prevailed, and Clark told Conner, "Ma made this cape." Conner apologized, all embarrassed and worried that Clark would tell Ma Kent about what happened. Hilarious!

Thors strength is equal to Supes baseline strength. But Superman can call upon a reserve that the Asgardian doesn’t have. It’s a good fight as Thor has a magical hammer, lightning and incredible combat skills, but Superman’s speed, durability and endurance are just too much. The Kryptonian breaks a sweat but wins this fight.

JujuBearHala The thing with Batman is that they made him more powerful than Superman in a different way. Batman can ninja in a way that Superman cannot find him indefinitely. Couple that with the fact that with his awesome intelligence Batman can literally beat ANYTHING given time to prep and plan. Spiderman has that same capability of finding ways of winning, btw.

Zarion Liger Batman can win, but only if He alone has the prep time. Superman has a 10th level intellect and can think much faster than any human. Once, he read an entire library in less than an hour. So, if he was allowed equal prep-time, then Batman would most likely lose. Since Superman can just spend an hour in the sun and become immune to Kryptonite for the whole day. Plus, Batman can only hide from Superman's hearing and that was only when Superman wasn't looking for him. If Superman wanted to find Batman, he could just fly into space and use his X-Ray vision.

This is awesome! The only thing missing is Superman picking up Mjolnir and giving Thor a taste of his own medicine! And both actors are spot on in appearances to the comics too.

SUPERMAN!!! One, he already beat Thor in the Justice League vs. Avengers crossover book. Two, even though they seem evenly matched in the strength department Superman has superspeed, Thor doesn't, and we've seen how effective superspeed is against a god when Supes kicked Steppenwolf's butt. The New God couldn't even lay a finger on our favorite Kryptonian.

It makes absolutely no damned sense for a fighter who's going up against Superman to toss him directly into his power source. Not once did I hear someone talk about how superman is weak to magic which is thors greatest advantage against superman

I still think it could have gone either way. One of superman's weaknesses is magic & Mjolnir is about as magical as a weapon can get. It must also be noted that Superman has faced magical opponents before & can usually find a way to deal with it.

Bruce Wayne realized that Superman was as human as he was at that moment. He didn't let him live because his mommy had the same name. He let him live because he connected with him as a fellow human being and even in the few instances that Batman has killed it wasn't a "good person". Like a man simply trying to save his mother. I feel that if you'd just think about it that way you would understand the validity of that scene and how it was actually very deep for a movie about superheroes. No offense. It's just my opinion.

@@ciresolstice the movies are the worst source to get an idea of who Thor is. Frigga isn't his real mother in the comics. She's the biological mother of Baldur, a character who's integral in Thor's comics, but doesn't exist in the MCU. Gaea is the real mother of Thor in the comics, and he doesn't remember her.

Why Superman would win: Superman is stronger. That's pretty obvious. He lifted the mass of the Earth for 5 days straight while deprived of sunlight and he broke one droplet of sweat. ONE. I'm pretty sure Thor can't do that. Superman is faster. Flying and combat speed. Also, Superman's reaction time is a femtosecond. Thor does have magic, but Superman just has no defense against, it's not a weakness like Red Sun or Kryptonite. He has bested magic users before. Shazam and Black Adam (Both who would make short work of Thor) and Superman's beats them almost always. Mjolnir- Many people think this is Thor's card to seal his victory, but it's actually far from true. 1. Superman can lift it. He has lifted the Book of Infinity, so he would lift Mjolnir. 2. Superman is worthy. He's a better and more noble character and hero. 3. Even if Superman was hit by Mjolnir, he would survive. Superman has survived the source wall explosion, which is the equivalent of the Universe blowing up, according to Green Lantern and Relic.

+Emperor Palpatine uhh...u gotta alot right except for Superman lifting Mjolnir. That's not....how the hammer works. It weighted...thats not how it is lifted. It is mystical, the wielder must be worthy. It saids so right on the damn hammer....it's repeated a billion times. Superman lifted it ONE time coz Thor gave it to him and deemed him "worthy" when they were on the same side. But when he tried after the battle, he could not anymore.

Malik I highly doubt a single blow would kill Superman. Superman has survived a Universal level explosion, and it's pretty clear that Mjolnir is nowhere near that level.

Emperor Palpatine That wasn't magical. Mjolnir is, as I explained. Superman is just a normal guy when it comes to Magic, and Mjolnir could certainly rip a normal guy in two.

How come in these Versus type videos, to make super man win they always make the opponent throw him into the sun to get him super powered to win?

Maribel Narvaez Not entirely true. Thor gets his power from the Odin force (not his hammer), an unlimited well of energy that makes him almost invincible. I know it's up to votes but Thor should have won due to his use of magic and the fact he is on Superman's level in terms of strength and durability.

papa idreass You're incorrect... And here's why. Magic can't kill Superman, it can only hurt him. Also, Thor's magic only conjures natural power, for instance, Thor's Lightning isn't magical, it's natural, and therefor would have no more effect on Superman than Lightning from a thunderstorm. There are only two ways to beat Superman. 1. Expose him to Kryptonite and then kill him. 2. Expose him to Red Sun Radiation, and then kill him. That's it. Why do you think he's called Superman? Superman would have won this fight even if these Super Power Beat Downs weren't based on votes.

theranter Yeah but they're not the only ways though. Superman has been killed by blunt force attacks from Doomsday. And hurt by attack from others with super strength. Also is this was true how could Superman beat other kyrptonians? If something can hurt you eventually it will kill you if applied enough times. Your statement (''Magic can't kill Superman, it can only hurt him.'')makes no sense. You are wildly exaggerating Superman's resistances. Thor's hammer's (can't be bothered looking for the spelling) power is magical in source so that combined with Thor's strength should be enough to kill Superman after enough heavy blows. People just don't know anything about Thor. (Not saying i know a lot but much more than most people) This is also not to say Superman is weak or would instantly lose as he's beaten magical opponents in the past but Thor is much stronger than people give him credit for. (Without the advantage of magic this would go to Superman hands down)

The actor they chose to portray Superman was perfect, in looks and build. Warner Brothers should give this guy an interview. He's the perfect Earth 1/modern Superman, more than Cavill.

​@gregrowe1168 Yes, but here's the flaw I that statement, Cavill's Superman was just as long ago, and an argument was made that HE, was too old to continue portraying Superman, despite George Reeves and others being older still. A proper classic Superman should be about 30-35 ish unless it's an origin or early career Superman story. He can be older 35-40 ish for certain stories. However, actors can be much older if they take care of themselves. Homelander is supposed to be 40 ish, but the actor is 50 ish.

That's the biggest misconception ever about Superman . MAGIC IS NOT CLARKS WEAKNESS He is vulnerable to it , that's it . The same exact way Batman , Cyborg and Aquaman are also vulnerable to Magic. Superman is a very despised character so people really run away with that vulnerability and like to make it much bigger than it actually is . Superman has defeated beings who used magic against him multiple times.

Hi! To be clear, Superman doesn't technically have a specific magic vulnerability. He is not MORE vulnerable to magic THAN OTHER ORDINARY people. It's just that he has no special defenses against magic, and thus, something that would magically affect a typical person would also affect Superman. So, from this aspect, he weak. So when Thor hit him with his magical lightning, Superman would be dead. Sorry. Just for to know, I'm not a Thor fan. There is a storry, when so many kryptonian comes, and they send the magical heroes agains them Why, if this not true. I dont"t know which issue was that. it isnt a misconception he is vulnerable to it. They say it. If you saw shazam and superman fight Adam it def. hurt him and it wasnt big. The black guy with the dreads f his face up with his full power blast and it wasnt even magic just reg. lightning

Would be cool if they were friendly rivals in this fight Like when Superman arrives responding to Thor’s call, Superman asks “Is it that time again?” Thor responds with “Indeed Kal” Fight goes the same, maybe the momma’s boy comment could be delivered like friendly banter between them instead of an actual insult, then once Superman wins with Thor on the ground, he lets out a hand to help Thor up, they praise eachother for the fight, Thor maybe apologises for the suit and Thor leaves I dont know I just want like a friendly fight and this seemed like the best one to choose cause Thor just wanted to fight for fun

people dont like his character because he is too OP, in certain situations he can go up against someone who should be able to take him, thor for example as pretty much everythingt about him is magic which is a vulnerability of supermans. but yet somehow he beats him through sheer determination yet weaknesses do not work like that. and ofcourse people would want to be him. nearly completely indestructible, flight, strength to lift twice the weight of the earth. come on now.

Superman isn't just weak to Kryptonite, he's also weak to magic. Mjolnir is magic, and so is Thor's strength (His belt is magic, and gives him 10x more strength than he has without it), so I'm pretty sure Thor would win.

Thors strength is no where close to supermans though. Even with the magic belt he couldn't move entire solar systems, superman has though. He also has Thor on speed he is on par with flash. Thor also is not as smart as superman and is easily made angry which clouds judgment. So Thor is weaker, slower, and dumber, it's no contest.

+Blake Harris not to mention that he lifted a book with infinity pages. He literally lifted something that had infinite weight. Like, wtf. and he also lifted a being who weighed "eternity". Sure, he may have had Wonder Woman and Shazam help him, but they can only lift set amounts, so it doesn't matter that they were there anyway. Basically, superman can lift an infinite amount of weight. Impossible to beat.

+KZreadrtz i had a really long explanation here, with extremely reputable math, using reasonable assumptions and the speed of light, combined with the ration of meter per second to miles per hour, but then i accidentally hit reload, and it all disappeared. I basically calculated Superman's top speed, which I found to be around 7,318,902,000,000,000,000,000 miles per hour, or 7.3 sextillion miles per hour, or around 3.3 sextillion meters per second.
