also spartan augmentation occured 500 years in the future, nit only its more realistic than bs marvel fantasy stuff but also the armour configuration by the spartans are possible. also not: energy shields are extremely powerful and can block any incoming attacks. it will only break either if it gets hit by plasma rounds but it will recharge in 5 seconds but also jote the spartan armour also called mjolnir mark 4 up to gen 2 mark Vll now cost almost as a single UNSC space ship like the Stalwart class frigate. For more information please read the Fall of Reach book to further understand how insane and powerful they made for this augmentation that 60% of the candidates died undergoing it.

Actually captain could beat him with pure ease, ya see cap's not wearing a full woven titanium fiber suit that could easily crush him without an exo skeleton, plus cap has a vibranium shield which could with ease dent chief's armor hell he could even just bounce his shield off a hard object to hit chief in the back of his head knocking out the connection for his exo skeleton forcing him to be stuck in place as his armor starts to rapidly crush him to death in a matter of seconds

This is ridiculous. Spartans literally react things in micro seconds, 20 micro seconds to be exact. MC once dropped a pin and did complicated math to figure out the ships gravity before the pin even fell to the ground. And MC can literally flip 50 ton tanks like they’re nothing. He has titanium bones, is over 1,300 pounds, and is literally the perfect soldier. Plus, MC has various weapons, including an energy sword.

Fair? MC killed 3 ODSTs and severely injured one. ODSTs are, no joke, peak physical humans without augmentations. He ran at 20 mph and lifted well over a thousand pounds. He can react in literal nano seconds and knows every martial art known to men. He was 14 when he did these things and he didn't have armor. So MC during what I'm assuming is Halo 2/3 (bc I the armor) far exceeds anything Cap can do.

How can Captain America survive the Plasma Grenade Blast? Dude, this is too much, the Master Chief has shields. He could have used his combat knife or a Spartan Laser. Also, Captain America couldn't just kill Chief with his shield. Vibranium is not a strong metal, it is just indestructible. The Shield also contains Adamantium, I know but he can't win the match. You cannot match Chief's augmentations and agility with Captain America's shield. Also, you think Chief's MJOLNIR Armor is so weak to break with a hit from Cap's shield. Surely it would be damaged, but not that much that it would kill Chief. This is way too cheating.

Back 10 years later and it is still absolutely outrageous cap even put up a fight

I can't believe this was 7 years ago.. I feel old now

Realistically, Master Chief should have won hands down with by at least the 3rd punch, if not the first 2. Both may be super soldiers, but comparing Spartan II training and enhancements ever since they were children with addition to the suits (That have shields might I add) and further increase mobility, MC would not have been nearly as sluggish as he should have been. If you read the book "Fall of reach" it even shows how he felt like things were falling slower or moving slower because of his insane reaction speed, and single highhandedly took down 2 ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers) in a little boxing arena almost killing them, if you don't know, ODST are extremely elite and have achieved the nickname Hell Divers and a couple other names (I mean seriously, these guys make the modern day veteran marine's look like recruits)... CA does not have the same experience as MC even though he is a formidable opponent... It is like Halo 5 when there is a fist fight scene between Locke and Chief, Locke is a spartan IV (AKA a safer and weaker version but it allows for more Spartans) and Chief is a Spartan II... the first Punch from chief should have broken Locke's neck if not the second hit destroying his ribs. Furthermore, CA doesn't even have the armor to take a hit like that from chief in the first place.... [Extra fun things] Chief has fallen from space in every halo game he is in I believe, and he has also earned the title of Reclaimer from the forerunners and Demon from the covenant. This is not hating against Captain America, I am just giving out reasons on why the fight went the wrong way. I like Captain America, but cmon, this is the Chief we are talking about... "Spartans Never Die, They are only missing in action" EDIT: Did I forget to mention that Chief wears a multi-ton suit? Its called inertia haha.... thats cute guys.....

Yeah dude, the armor he’s in weighs over 1000 ponds plus 300 pounds of his body weight. Cap couldn’t punch him and he would have to unload a whole clip into him to deplete his shields (good luck hoping he stands out of cover for that long!) Also, chief’s battle experience far surpasses Captain America. Long story short, it definitely wouldn’t go down like this.

I first watched this when I was 6 and grew up playing halo 3. Almost 10 years later and this video is still goated

They state that the Captain is 240 lbs... Chief is 1,000. Captain can fall from great heights, but can he survive reentry to the Earth's atmosphere from space like the Chief? He has a healing factor, but Chief also has rechargeable energy shields and biofoam to help him heal from injuries. Not to mention that Master Chief has enough strength to flip tanks, possesses superhuman reflexes and speed, is a tactical genius, has better weaponry, is equipped with advanced AI, and all that good stuff... The Captain is strong, and has faced some godlike foes, but in this situation, he just can't win.

***** You kidding me? The Master Chief is superior in basically every way. First off, he wouldn't have even been knocked at all by Cap's shield because of his energy shields, Chief can run over 50 mph, flip tanks without even trying, his bullets are HVAP(High Velocity Armor Piercing) rounds, meaning they would blast right through Cap's armor. Also, Chief with one well placed shot could remove the Captain's brain from his head, and deposit it on the ground.

you do realize that energy shields are designed to resist energy weapons, this is why the covenant started using human ballistic weaponry against Spartans, and such the shield hits a lot like a bullet which do work against the Spartans. Not saying That chief would lose out and out but it does mean the cap isn't just, outdated and weaker then the Spartan.

Actually, whenever he gets hit by anything, that yellow shimmer you see whenever he gets shot by anything, whether it be projectiles, energy or plasma, that's the energy shields. And, if you think that they wouldn't resist projectiles, well, guess what, it wouldn't work against plasma either because TECHNICALLY the plasma is a projectile, like, in essence its a super stinking hot water gun. And also, when did the covies ever start using human weapons? The only time I know of was when Arbiter was with the UNSC in Halo 3. AND to top that off, even if the shield did somehow get through that, it wouldn't have enough force behind it to even come close to cutting through the titanium nonocomposite woven thread under armor, with the gel layer there MEANT to keep the spartan safe in extreme impacts (such as falling from space......twice), and the Polymerized Lithium Nibocene Layer which acts as a artificial layer of muscle to enhance the spartan's already enhanced strengths, endurance, speed, agility and everything else. Plus, Cap actually is weaker. Maybe not outdated, but weaker, yes. Chief can flip a 170 ton tank, basically with one hand.

First of all........ Captain america has fought Galactus, and survived. Also master chief is from a video game, Captain america can destroy iron-man, and iron man can beat master chief, so captain could easily beat chef. Captain america is the strongest unpowered man, and has taken down Thanos. Captain America also has one of the greatest stories ever. Captain America has been around for 70 years, master chief..... not even close. I mean how could people vote for someone who is not even as close to being as popular as captain

This is some bullshit. Here's why. I'm ashamed that these guys, and 54% of people, can call themselves nerds. Master Chief has the strength to flip a TANK like it's nothing. A tank weighs in the TONS. And it's not the armor, it's his solid MUSCLE MASS that allows it. In fact, it's because of the Spartans genetically enhanced frame that they were the only ones able to don the armor at all. Which is another point. This armor can withstand extreme damage. See when they were fist fighting and Cap was going toe to toe in their little virtual recreation? Captain would break every bone in his armor just trying to punch the Chief, healing factor or not, while Chief's armor would take LITERALLY no damage. Chief could just STAND there and the captain would break every bone in his body trying to do some damage with fistcuffs. One punch from Chief would devastate Cap's body.

Same with Cap's shield - it has nothing on the Chief's Shield. It would do about as much damage as if it was made from Styrofoam. The plasma grenade being stuck to the Captain's shield was the only valid point, and even that was invalidated because the plasma grenade is literally plasma weaponry, the shield would melt into nonexistence from a stick. Plasma weaponry isn't the same thing as projectile weaponry. That notwithstand, the shield would have no way of cutting through Chief's armor, shielded or not, let alone piercing both his armor and his neck, which again is reinforced by his own genetically-enhanced muscle mass. It'd be a papercut at worst, Cap just doesn't have the momentum and strength to be able to pierce all that in even 1000 thrusts, let alone just one single thrust.

As for speed and reflex, the Chief far outranks the captain in both. They are both genetically enhanced superhumans, the only difference is the CENTURIES of technological and augmentation advancements between the two. And galactus, the eater of worlds, has nothing on the combined might of the Covenant armada, also the destroyers of worlds - or the Flood, the bane of every sentient existence in the universe - BOTH of which the chief takes on DAILY. All that being said, I do give batinthesun props for the extent to which they go to recreate battles

People seem to think that this video is based on facts. The entire premise of this is based purely on peoples opinions. If it's based on facts of the contenders, then Master Chief would win hands down. Firstly, about a single scene here where Captain America picks Master Chief up, that is just impossible. It has been stated on numerous occasions that C.A.'s max weight he can lift is 800 pounds. The weight of the Mark VI MJOLNIR Gen.1 Spartan-II armor weighs in at just around 1000 pounds. Spartans can move so nimbly and quickly within these suits because of the genetic and chemical augmentations they received as teenagers at the end of their lifetime of combat training. It's stated already that Master Chief can lift three times his weight even without his armor, clocking in at 900 pounds he can lift, so within the suit, that is pushed to numerous times that, thousands times even. It is plainly shown that Master Chief can easily lift and flip over the M808B Main Battle Scorpion Tank, which clocks in at a total of 66 metric *tons.* That means Master Chief can lift upwards of *145505 pounds.* That is well beyond Steve's natural limits of 800 pounds. Another factor of this is that Master Chief's Mark VI MJOLNIR is meant to be able to take plasma based shots on all fronts, and is supported by the likes Steve's could never have: 15 megajoule energy shielding reverse-engineered from Covenant technology. These shields could easily reflect Steve's punches and shield, as proven the only thing that can break through the shields of a Spartans armor, as show in-game, is a Jiralhanae (Brute) and Sangheili (Elite), which are pound-for-pound *stronger* than Master Chief in physical strength. The final nail in Captain America's coffin? Master Chief is just a better soldier flat out. Steve went through World War II, I'll give him that. He got himself frozen, and then became the leader of the Avengers. He's tough, but he's no Master Chief. Master Chief was taken at the age of SIX where he began training as a super soldier. He and his fellow Spartan-II's went through not only physical training but school teachings in combat, war, and history throughout their life. By the time he was a teen, Master Chief was able to outmatch three Orbital Shock Drop Troopers, who were at the time the best of the best in the UNSC, and even accidentally killed one of them. Then came his augmentations, which was such a brutal treatment that many Spartans were scarred for life and even died from it, where John came out stronger than ever, and even then he got the MJOLNIR. After this even, John went through absolute hell in war, fighting his ass off in the Human-Covenant War from February 11th, 2525 until December 11th. 2552. That is a total of 27 years of fighting in a war, where Captain America was in WW2 from about 1941 to 1944. Give or take a few months. Ether way no matter which way you slice it, the Star-Spangled Man with a Plan is no match for the intergalactic super-soldier who single handedly took down the Covenant. The winner of this fight based on the facts of the fighters? *Master Chief Petty Officer: John S-117.*

BlaidHedgehog117 In the movies Cap can lift about ten tons. And he survived the pressure of lots of debris in Winter Soldier. Cap can run 74.57 mph / 120 kph. Cap has been trained under Asgardians, Iron Fist, and several other teachers of martial arts. I think being kidnapped at the age of 6 isn't something to brag about. Steve doesn't need his enhancements to take down Super Soldiers, he has taken down several of them without his enhancements. Cap has beaten Asgardians, Demons, Wolverine, Spider-Man, boxed Thor to a stand still, has WIELDED Mjolnir, survived a beating from the Hulk, has taken down the Hulk, can go toe to toe with Iron Man, has become president, and finally... Sucker punched Hitler.

The chief is mechanically and chemically enhanced to fight. And cap plus his armor aren't bullet proof I distinctively saw cap get shot 12 times but nothing. Cap has fought for 5 yrs not counting the time he was frozen compared to chief who has been a Spartan since 18 and has continued to live over 62 yrs in the newly coming infinite game and still going

I vividly remember reenacting this and busting my head open on a window sill, the scar is still there. 😬😬

1. How did Steve survive that fall without using his shield to absorb the impact? 2. What was Cortana doing that entire fight? 3. Why was John taking cover when his shield was designed to deflect small arms fire like Steve's pistol? 4. John's reaction time and strength would allow him to catch Steve's shield and throw it back faster than he could recognize. 5. Steve maxes at 1200 lb. Care to tell us how he cut through a Titanium Nanocomposite bodysuit? 6. When thrown, the gaseous plasma begins to ionize to a degree such that if it comes into contact with a vehicle or individual, the plasma will start to burn into the surface and adhere until its detonation. Steve's shield wouldn't melt from this plasma, thus it would not be able to stick to his shield As much as I love and respect Steve, John is better, even without his armor. Strength and running speed In halo Glassland, Senior Chief Petty Officer Franklin Mendez stated that it was impressive the a FULLY SUITED Spartan can go from 0 to 60 mph almost instantly, where as Cap peaks at 49 mph and needs to build up speed first. John, after first obtaining his augmentations, was noted at 34.2 mph, 27 Halo universe years ago. Steve is capable of benching up to 1200 lbs. John, after first receiving his augmentations, was capable of lifting three times his body weight. This would put him at originally lifting 861 lbs without armor. This capability is augmented by 5 in the armor, putting his max, in armor, at 4305 lb. Chief Petty Officer Franklin Mendez states after the augmentations that the SPARTANs will only get better as they adjust to the augmentation. After 27 years, we have no idea what his strength and speed are like, as it has never been explored in the novels since, though I don't imagine it to exceed Steve's max while he is outside the armor. If this is true, that would put him around a 6000 lb max On his first mission, after receiving his augmentations, John ripped open an elevator shafts foot and a half thick steel doors, without his armor. This strength would require much more than 861 Lb, I would think, no? Steve could not penetrate the armor even if he wanted to. His strength is nowhere enough to penetrate a Titanium Alloy Outer Shell over a Titanium Nanocomposite Bodysuit. Steve's standard shield is Vibranium; a metal that absorbs kinetic energy. Combined with Steve's strength he cannot crack the armor and regenerating shields of a man who survived re-entry, then jumped off, and fell 2KM, and survived without a scratch and is capable of beating a Brute in hand-to-hand combat. Brutes can rip apart hunters, the walking tanks that can shrug off a Warthog (70000 lb with a max speed of 78mph) crashing into them and wielding an arm mounted gun that shoots plasma hot enough to melt said Warthog. John wrestled against one and won, all while having as Dr. Halsey described: "Burns, brain damage, fractures, and internal bleeding", and him stating: "I'm fine". After his fight with the Brute (in which he was injured further) he went on to destroy the Unyielding Hierophant, the events of Halo 2 and receiving an even better version of his armor. Experience and Combat capabilities 616 is the main continuity in Marvel, and it has been stated that Steve was frozen in 1945, and revived in modern times, thus it's more or less a continuity rule, that Cap was thawed out [whatever the current year is] minus 5 years. That however, makes no sense, seeing as in 2009s (4 years ago) Captain America#600, we see his identicard signed by Bill Clinton, meaning he was revived at least as early as 1993, giving him at a more realistic time of a maximum of 25 years, whereas John had 8 years of the most excruciating mental and physical military training the UNSC could give him and his fellow Spartans, and over 27 years as a Spartan constantly fighting armies of creatures his equal and superior in some form. John also has war experience, not only fighting the Covenant, but also human insurrectionists. He too has fought a wide assortment of enemies, and has proven a tactical genius in his own right, having lead his Spartans on several successful missions against the covenant, before receiving Cortana; who has been shown to be a part of this fight, and did nothing. On the battlefield, Cortana is able to gather data from local sources (including the Covenant battlenet) and improvise effective battle strategies. John acknowledged her value of providing "intel support in an operation where there had been no reconnaissance." Her efficiency for planning has helped John and others in many life or death situations. While Steve has a multitude of martial arts under his belt, John's speed, cqc training, and near even strength put him a bit above Cap, even without his armor. With? It's not even a fight. Besides, we have no idea what sort of hand-to-hand combat training they teach in the UNSC. The modern Marines MCMAP draws influences from several disciplines including boxing, jujitsu, judo, sambo, krav maga, karate, aikido, eskrima or arnis, hapkido, taekwondo, kung fu, and kick boxing. If that still stands, it would no doubt put him above Steve due to his reaction time and strength. However, we have no idea what kind of cqc training they have in the 25th century Reaction time Johns reaction time outside of his suit is 20 milliseconds (.02 seconds), thus things to him, often seem in slow-motion in combat scenarios (for gameplay purposes they did not implement this as most of the game would be far too easy if everything was as slow as molasses.) This affords him speed that far exceeds dodging bullets, and is amplified by 5 in his armor, putting him at 4 milliseconds (.004 seconds), far exceeding gunfire at point blank range. Cortana is also capable of linking her consciousness with a SPARTAN-II through the Spartan's armor and neural interface, allowing her to enhance the performance of the armor and communicate directly to the Spartan's mind. Doing so is described as "cold mercury" seeping through the Spartan's brain, and brings their reaction time to near-instantaneous levels. Steve's reflexes border on superhuman level. His reaction speed is stated to be 20 kph (this makes no sense as that measures velocity, not time), which makes it possible for him to dodge gunfire even in point blank range from multiple gunners at the same time. Though, usually by the time they realize they missed, he has taken them out making it hard to calculate a continuous hail of gunfire But, what about Cap's bulletproof shirt? You mean that same bulletproof that stopped that sniper round to his gut? Okay. John catches the shield and punches through Steve with over two tons of strength. Game Over, John wins Tell me how Cap wins just because he has saved the world a few times. Every mission John has succeeded in, John either stopped or delayed the destruction of a world, thus, he has saved many worlds. The only times he himself felt he ever failed, was after the augmentations, when many of his fellow Spartans either died, or just incapable of active field duty because of the danger of the augmentations, Cortana's seeming death, and likely the event in New Phoenix "Cap beat the Hulk" You're talking about that Ultimate Marvel(universe-1610) Cap vs Hulk, right? That cap had different abilities. He actually better in almost every way than the 616 Steve. Look it up and compare them. Can you tell me how with 4 tons of strength, he was capable of breaking the nose of a creature that shrugs off tanks shells? Writers. "Cap beat Iron Man" First fight, he lost in 5 hits. Second fight he was assisted by The Vision. "His Vibranium shield is indestructible!" Actually, it's not. There are limits to the capacity of the energy that can be stored, and although the exact limitations are not yet known, there have been a few examples. One such instance was when the oil conglomerate Roxxon discovered that a small island in the South Atlantic had a foundation composed of vibranium. Due to this, Roxxon found it necessary to destroy the island and so blew it up with bombs. Unable to absorb the force of the explosions, the vibranium was destroyed, but it did succeed in entirely absorbing the sound made by the explosion, preventing damage to the surrounding area. This is in order that players can more easily project their own personalities onto John-117. As a child, John strove to win at any situation, at all costs. This seems to have been a part of his character even prior to his conscription to the Spartan program, as he pushed himself to win at any game he played, including chess, gravball or King of the Hill. As his career progressed, he transformed his desire to achieve personal victory to a desire to achieve victory for his squad and, by extension, humanity as a whole. John is tenacious to complete any mission at hand, and often disregards his personal safety in order to win. Indeed, he has often emerged victorious from situations many would consider impossible. The two also had similar personalities: they both had a propensity to blow things up, with John commenting he wasn't sure which one of them was better at it. The mass slaughter of civilians at the hands of the Covenant was enough to drive even the stoic John into a cold rage. After the massacre of Draco III, John and his Spartans remained on-site until every Covenant soldier responsible for the atrocity was dead. John is known to show an exceptional care for soldiers under his command, while at times viewing them as a liability rather than an asset (more out of fear and concern for them than for himself). By 2552, after his experiences on Halo, John acknowledged to Corporal Locklear that, armor and enhancements aside, there was little difference between a 'normal' soldier and himself. This is not to say that John was previously without compassion. During the Battle of Installation 04, when searching for the survivors of the Pillar of Autumn, a Marine named Fitzgerald was wounded by a Grunt with a Needler. The other was missing this data, and John originally planned to sacrifice his friend in accordance with directive, but realized that one man can make a difference, and crushed the complete record into dust. Later in 2557 when John and Cortana made their way aboard the UNSC Infinity, after Cortana's rampant outburst surprising everyone in the room, Captain Andrew Del Rio acted on his resentment of John-117 for questioning his orders to flee Requiem and subsequently ordered that Cortana be destroyed. Before Commander Lasky could retrieve her, without hesitation John did so first, displaying his unflinching loyalty to Cortana, and that not even the UNSC would stop him from doing everything in his power to save her. Del Rio personally ordered John to hand her over, but he refused, responding, "no, sir." After the infuriated Captain ordered his arrest, Commander Sarah Palmer refused to act, and John promptly left Infinity in a Pelican Gunship to stay behind on Requiem to stop the Didact. As Halsey stated: "Your mistake is seeing Spartans as military hardware." He is in fact capable of emotion, logic, and will even refuse a direct order that he feels is wrong. In some ways, he is more human than most people in this world are today.

Kinda unrealistic, Chief has 2 layers of titanium armour and suit with a shield. That could've easily prevented Cap's shield from stabbing him in the neck.

The Master Chief in armor weighs 995 lbs. Triple that would be 2985 lbs. Captain America can lift 1200 lbs. 3) A SPARTAN-II's reaction time, while impossible to chart accurately, is estimated to be twenty MILLISECONDS. Their reaction times are significantly faster in combat situations or with A.I. assistance. The reaction times of the SPARTAN-IIs are so fast that they are able to think and react faster, and see things happen in slow motion - it is dubbed as "SPARTAN Time". SPARTAN-IIs are also known for their sharp eyesight being able to virtually see in the dark. Yes Captain's shield is "indestructible," but that's referring to its durability. Jake Chappelle I think you forgot something? Chief running up to 65 mph was where he tore his Achilles tendon. And Cap beats Chief hand to hand, hands down. Chief = knowledge of military training + some martial arts, Cap = knowledge of every fighting style + Asgardian combat. Chief sees things in slow motion? So does Spider-Man and Cap beat him at least twice. To grab Cap's shield, he'd have to have the skills to. Considering, Cap is 100 times the fighter Chief ever will be, I don't like Chief's chances. Chief's armor makes him stronger, but Cap is smarter. Even smarter than Cortana when it comes to combat. He out thought a super computer Cache before.

Chief should always win 99% of the time. Here are some things: 1: he killed an ODST (which to become one takes a lot of shit to accomplish, they are strong etc..) with a single punch at the age of 14 2: he destroyed 500 ships in a mission 3: survive a scorpion tank shell in the chest and stands up like nothing happens 4: he just straight up punched a missile out of the sky Don't forget his arsenal on what he has as well. He should have won, but not for the reasons you put. Cap is probably stronger and more nimble than an ODST. He didn't destroy 500 ships, the gigantic DeathStar-sized battlestation the Covenant conveniently parked next to the fleet did. MC just set the thing to blow. Wat? Since when? That's bullshit, an M800 Main Battle Tank's shells can definitely penetrate his battlesuit. That was pretty much all Cortana. MC would have won because in those opening minutes, Cortana would have guided the autorifle's bullets to either shoot Cap's airship out of the sky while he was still in it or guided them around his shield and shredded his legs when he was running. If he somehow survived until the fistfight started, Chief's reaction time is dozens of times faster than the average human with his battlesuit, he would have caught Cap's first punch and then pulled out his pistol and pop. If Cap somehow got Chief in a hold or a lock, Cortana would have electrified the outside of the armour, frying the Cap.

Point number 9 is dead wrong. That point being wrong puts a lot in Cap's corner. Point number 1 doesn't matter cause Wolverine has even more years of fighting than Chief and has lost to Cap. Point number 4 isn't really a threat because the metals in Caps shield are more durable than the one in Chiefs suit. As for the regenerating shields, they can be broken and they take a few seconds to regenerate. Lastly, I've seen that screw attack episode, I agree Doom Guy would lose to Chief but not Cap.

Eamonn Kernahan So you read the books. Whether you read them or not, it doesn't change the fact that Chief's armor is titanium alloy. Is that a strong metal? Yes, it might be the best in Chiefs universe but in the Marvel universe, there exists metals that trump titanium by a mile. Metals such as Adamantium and Vibranium. Vibranium is in Caps shield. Ironmans armor is harder than titanium and Cap managed to break it down with the shield.

Master chief knowing him wouldve already known all of Captain Americas feats with Kortanas help & brought an energy sword to combat Capt Americas shield. Also he can turn invisible which he wouldve used to get the drop on him & toss a plasma grenade. This fight dragged on WAY longer than it really would've.

Hell no! That Spartan Laser is a flea compared to Hulk and Thor. Who both can't break the shield. Vibranium is one tough son of a bitch. Not to mention the Spartan Laser has a draw back, it needs 3 seconds to cool down after every shot. Cap can do a ton in 3 seconds.

Have you seen what a Spartan Laser can do? Watch Halo Legends, Read the Books, and there are many incidents of the Spartan Laser. If you take the armor off of Chief and take the shield off of CA, you will see Chef is better "equipped."

also, Chief actually weighs half a ton, literally 1000 pounds in armor, and only one of his punches would have easily fractured Cap's bones (the fact that MC's capable of lifting tanks is an important thing to note) Also, MC's reflexes are 3x normal human limit (Cap's are at the peak of human limit), his bones and muscles are about 15x stronger than human limit (again, Cap's at the peak of human limit) MC is, in conclusion, just over 600 years more advanced, and these advancements would have steamrolled right over Cap

true, but what you're forgetting is: Energy Sword = Energy Energy = not physical The blades might be blocked, but the MOTION wouldn't be stopped, so the second it comes out the other side of the shield, the blade would have gone forward again I think you can see where this is going 'Forward' is where Cap's body is, so it's going into Cap's face

*As I find more information about both Captain America and Master Chief, I will keep editing this post. Ok, usually I don't get into debates like this, but after seeing this video, I just had to put my two cents into this. Sometimes batinthesun/Machinima really gets under my skin (who in their right mind thinks Batman can beat Deadpool?). Now, I realize that these are all fan voted (which is stupid), but you can’t say someone would actually win just by votes. It basically comes down to a popularity contest and it is no different here. So, why am I getting involved into this debate? Well, the biggest reason why is because I am a gamer. And as a gamer, it is my responsibility to play all kinds of video games. Halo is my favorite video game series of all time and Master Chief is my favorite video game character of all time. So, this obviously means I am in his favor. However, I am also a huge fan of Marvel and I think Captain America is a very cool character in the Marvel Universe, so no, I am not going to say Master Chief is simply going to win. Instead, I will be providing facts and statistics for each character to make sure you all know who would actually win. There are CLEARLY some things wrong with this video for BOTH Master Chief and Captain America: 1. For starters, Captain America can't fall from a plane at that altitude and land safely without a parachute. I don't care if he is a super soldier, he doesn't have the armor Master Chief has and he isn't Wolverine. Plain and simple. 2. I have NEVER seen Captain America use guns and grenades. The only weapon he ever uses is his shield. Captain America is not the kind of person who would attempt to kill someone, so he certainly wouldn't use firearms and grenades. 3. I could have sworn I saw bullets hitting Captain America. I know for a fact he does not have a bullet proof uniform, so I don’t know what is up with that. 4. Captain America doesn't kill no matter what. He "killed" Master Chief at the end, which clearly goes against his character. 5. I don't see the effects of Chief's shields at all. The shields may not keep him entirely safe from Captain America, but they should be able to keep him safe from most of Captain America’s punches and kicks. 6. Cortana only talks to Chief at the beginning of the video. She never talks to him after that, which is certainly not something she would do. After only a minute or two in battle, she would have told the Chief that he needed to get the shield as far away from Captain America as possible and would have provided him with more information on how he could defeat Captain America. 7. Chief wouldn't waste his ammo when Captain America was hiding behind the rock. If anything, Chief would have ceased fire and thrown a grenade to get Captain America out of hiding. All this random gunfire just makes Chief look stupid and certainly doesn't display his actual mastery of weapons and marksmanship. Those are the things I see wrong with the video (and I am pretty sure there are more that I missed). Now, for the actual debate. My sources for these characters are going to be from the official Marvel Wiki page for Captain America, and the Halo: Fall of Reach book, Halo video games, and Master Chief Wiki page for Master Chief: Master Chief vs. Captain America (Physical Appearance): Captain America stands at 6’ 2” and weighs 240 lbs. Master Chief stands an entire foot taller than Captain America (7’ 2”) and weighs 995 lbs. Master Chief vs. Captain America (Strength): Captain America is able to bench press an astonishing 1,200lbs. But, even with his impressive strength, he would still have a difficult time trying to even move Master Chief since he weighs in at just shy of one metric ton! Master Chief on the other hand is at least strong enough to flip a Scorpion Tank, which weighs 66 metric tons (145,505lbs)! Chief is clearly the winner here and would have no problems throwing Captain America around like a rag doll. Master Chief vs. Captain America (Speed): Captain America can run at speeds of up to approximately 48 kilometers per hour (30 miles per hour) or higher, and has on occasion run a mile (1.6 km) in 73 seconds (49 mph/78 kph) when under stress. Master Chief can run up to 60 mph and can sometimes run even faster when his adrenalin is active. So, Master Chief can basically run 11 mph faster at his lowest level, than Captain America can at his peak. Master Chief vs. Captain America (Durability): Captian America’s bones and muscles are denser and harder than normal, he can fall from 200ft without discomfort, and he can take blows from beings with low superhuman strength. However, Master Chief IS superhuman, capable of lifting at least 145,000lbs, so Captain America’s durability won’t help him here. Master Chief has unbreakable bones, he was capable of surviving a fall from space, and the Covenant's best weapons simply bounced off his armor. Master Chief will be giving Captain America a run for his money here. Master Chief vs. Captain America (Reflexes): Captain America has a reaction speed of 20kph, which makes it possible for him to dodge gunfire even in point blank range from multiple gunners at the same time. Master Chief is no pushover either. He has the reaction time of 8 Olympic Athletes due to his augmentations and training in the UNSC programs and his Mjolnir armor has been known to amplify his reflex abilities even further. Captian America has impressive reflexes (which might give the Chief some problems with using firearms), but because Chief has the reflexes of 8 olympic athletes and his armor only furthers that ability, he will probably have the advantage over Captain America when it comes to reflexes. Master Chief vs. Captain America (Hand-to-Hand Combat): Both Captain America and Master Chief have excellent Hand-to-Hand Combat training and both know many different forms of martial arts. Captain America is probably more used to Hand-To-Hand Combat, he knows more martial art styles than Master Chief, and Hand-To-Hand Combat is his main method of attack. He also had a huge role in World War II and has faced great oppositions. Master Chief on the other hand, was trained since he was six, he killed three ODST's (a step down in rank from Spartans), and critically injured another, all at the same time, with his bare hands, when he was 14 (he also wasn't wearing any armor). He has described grunts and jackals as being nothing more than "mosquitoes." Master Chief is usually more suited to ranged combat, but from what I can tell, he would still be a very huge threat in Hand-To-Hand Combat. The more I think about it, the more I think that Chief would get the upper hand here as well, because he has had many more years of experience than Captain America in Hand-To-Hand Combat and considers aliens who are pretty much the same size as Captain America "Mosquitoes." Master Chief vs. Captain America (Other): Both Captain America and Master Chief have enhanced senses, high intelligence levels, excellent vehicle driving skills, and both have a strong will to win. Master Chief vs. Captain America (Arsenal): The only thing Captain America has going for him here is his shield. However, his shield is indestructible and cannot be broken or penetrated. Again, I have NEVER seen Captain America use firearms or grenades. The Marvel wiki says that in desperate situations, he will use firearms, but he prefers not to use them. I can guarantee though that he would not bring firearms and explosives with him into this fight, especially since he relies mostly on his shield as a weapon. Master Chief on the other hand has no problem using firearms and explosives against opponents. Not only that, he is a MASTER of every type of weapon there is and he is a MASTER marksman, not only with UNSC weapons, but with Covenant weapons as well. Master Chief also has Cortana on his side. She is able to process information at incalculable speeds and provides Master Chief with all the information he could need, including Captain America’s weakness (the loss of his shield). Master Chief also has advanced motion tracking so he will know where Captain America is at all times and will know how to approach him. Again, I really like Captain America. I think he is an awesome Marvel character and I think he definitely deserves to be the leader of the Avengers. But, when it comes down to it, the only way I can see Captain America winning is if he keeps his shield with him at all times and can somehow break through Chief’s armor (which definitely won’t be as easy as the video depicts). Even then, the odds of him beating Master Chief are very slim. Yes, I know Captain America has fought powerhouses like Hulk, but most of his opponents don’t have the Hand-to-Hand Combat abilities and reflexes that Master Chief possesses. Not only that, Master Chief is clearly faster, stronger, taller, heavier, and far more durable, than Captain America. All Master Chief has to do is knock Captain America’s shield away from him and the fight is over. I just can’t see that Captain America can win against a guy who is hundreds of years ahead of his time and practically has all of the advantages. You can argue against this all you want, but it is clear that Master Chief deserves the win. I know that I went into great detail about this, but it needed to happen. Now, we can all see who really is the superior super soldier.

You arent up to date with Marvel. Ultimate captain america which was used in this video, does in fact use a gun which in fact is a holstered pistol which was depicted very accurately, he does have a bullet proof uniform, and in fact he does have superhuman abilities, and has a heeling factor (not as good as wolverines and deadpools) but a decent one none the less. In fact in the Ultimate story line he does in fact take a few bullets without armor and keeps fighting relentlessly. The Ultimate Cap can in fact bend steal with his own hands, run at 49 mph, have reflexes far superior than majority of the superheroes in Marvel. So in fact, the Captain America in this video could very well defeat MC. He would knock out MC's over shield with a direct hit with his shield (his shield has sent the hulk flying) and then its a tough tough tough fight, but without the over shield, I dont see MC, beating Cap, simply because of Cap's hand to hand experience fighting people such as the Hulk, Thor, knocking out Galactus, and many more. Cap could decapitate MC with his shield after MC's over shields are out. The Hulk mirrors MC in build, but is stronger, and actually gets stronger the longer he fights! Captain America fought him to a stand still. It would be a bloody fight and the victor would be extremely battered and beat, but Cap has the super abilities, the skill and the his shield, and with all those things, I can very well see Cap win this extremely close fight.

Cody K I didn't know there was an Ultimate Captain America. If that is the case, then why is the title just plain old Captain America instead of Ultimate Captain America? For those of us who don't know about Ultimate Captain America, that would be very confusing. But, besides the point, even Ultimate Captain America doesn't sound like he can beat Master Chief. I went to the official Marvel website regarding Ultimate Captain America and didn't see anywhere that he had guns, grenades, a bullet proof uniform, the ability to bend steel, and run at 49 mph. I went to a non Marvel wikipedia page and saw a few of the things you described, but wikipedia is usually not that reliable. You will have to provide a valid link for me to believe that he actually carries weapons other than his shield and that he has those powers. If I am just missing something and Ultimate Captain America does indeed have everything you listed, it still doesn't seem like it would matter. Ultimate Captain America would still be slower than Master Chief. If Ultimate Captain America could actually run at 49 mph, Master Chief would still run faster at 60 mph. Ultimate Captain America would still be weaker than Master Chief. The non Marvel Wikipedia told me that the strongest thing he could do was catch a tree that could crush a car. Master Chief can flip a 66 metric ton tank. Unless the tree is heavier than 66 metric tons (most trees aren't even close to being that heavy), Ultimate Captain America is still weaker than Master Chief. "His shield could knock out Master Chief's overshield." Master Chief has the reaction time of 8 Olympic Athletes and his armor enhances that even further. I think Cap would be very lucky to hit him with his shield. "Captain America fought Hulk to a standstill." Yeah, that might be, but Hulk doesn't have very good reflexes and he is not that good at running without building momentum. Hulk is slow and bulky, thus it would be easy for Captain America to get lots of hits. Master Chief has far better reflexes than the Hulk and can sprint to fast speeds immediately. It would be difficult to even touch him. I agree that Ultimate Captain America could beat Master Chief in Hand-To-Hand Combat. I can also see how a healing factor might help, but if he can't regenerate at the speed of Wolverine and Deadpool, then the healing factor would be useless unless he fled from battle and healed for about a day. But, in the heat of battle, when he is taking blows, the healing factor won't be enough. Even with those benefits, Ultimate Captain America seems inferior to Master Chief. Look, I really like Captain America, but there is just no possible way that he can beat Master Chief who is centuries ahead of him. Like I said before, all Master Chief has to do is knock the shield away and Captain America is done.

For the longest time I have said such a weapon lacks the fighting utilities appropriate in most live action combat scenarios. It would probably explain why I prefer Batman. Not at all saying he would beat the Chief. But he has gadget utility and simply just peak human strength.

As a long time fan of both, and a keen understanding of the lore that surrounds both characters, I have to say, Master Chief would have won. Chief is more than a match for Cap. Cap has his serum allowing him an increased healing factor, nearly infinite endurance and high strength and speed, but the Chief has Carbide Ceramic Bones, Augmented Muscles allowing him to lift 3 times his own body weight, which is double the average, nerve alterations making him 300% faster in reaction time, eye alterations to allow him to see in the dark, he was trained since age 6 in military practice and warfare, including extensive CQC hand to hand combat. Chief would simply move too fast and hit too hard, and be too tough against incoming strikes for the cap to overcome. On both raw physical fist fight and adding in all their tech and weapons, Chief wins.

I really love cap. He has a will like no other. But armed with everything he has in the game, it would be a walk in the park for cheif. It would be a lot more even in a bare knuckle brawl as I'm sure they're equal in physical strength alone, but even still, chief has hundreds of battle beating years under his belt if I remember right. I think they'd be friends anyways.

They are not equal by a long shot lore wise chief is in every way stronger even with out his suit I mean as a child he killed odsts with one or two punches ( odsts are special soldiers in peak shape and real animals who are stronger and better trained than most if not every normal special soldier) but yeah I agree they would totally be friends

Ok Oliver. Cap wouldn’t have Thor’s hammer in the masterchief battle. So endgame has NOTHING to do with is battle. So that reference = 0. Masterchief still wins

For everyone mad about who won, there's a problem with these kind of fights, it's vote to win and since it's not taking on account for actual fighting capability, it's basically whoever people like more or is more popular wins. This isn't Death Battle. They're not going to analyze anything, just say a few things about the characters and let them "fight." They will put characters up there that would normally win such a fight, but because of popularity, the other won.

As someone who's not really a super-fan for either (or anything, really), but just having surface knowledge of both, I would think Chief would be the obvious winner if they went by stats (not by fan votes), right? They're both scientifically engineered super soldiers, except Chief is bigger and just as fast. The difference is Cheif's serum was created in a time where galactic travel and other technologies are the norm, while Cap's formula was engineered before we even had working nuclear weapons. In that same sense, Chief's weapons (plural) would outclass anything Cap has, other than his shield. If some (though few) of Cap's enemies can catch the shield, wouldn't it be plausible that Chief can too? And I think the biggest difference would be training. Chief was born into combat. Cap didn't see true combat until he was already a man. That's almost two decades of experience in all forms of combat he has over Cap. Anyway, just my observations. I'm not too deep into the lore of these guys, so I could be missing/misunderstanding things.

Also if you read the Halo books the MC had a whole set of Biochemical and Biotech enhancements that should give him everything CA has as well as a skeleton pretty much like Wolverine's. And like you said the weapons alone.

Captain America, he can easily lift a ton, and he doesn't need a suit of armor for help, he know's just about every fighting style there is and then some, he also know's how to use a gun and grenades, and he doesn't need armor to help him do all that. Master Chief, while he is a great soldier, his armor helps him do most of the lifting and jumping at great heights, his genetic engineering isn't at the same level as Captain America's, sure he knows how to fight and shoot, but Steve Rogers has 50 years of experience, and he'll have another 50 years after that due to the fact that his genetic engineering will slow his aging.
