Captain Kaos you obviously have no idea what your talking about. I've never broken a 302 rod. Crack a few blocks and spit a few cracks out when tuning was shit. My current 302 makes 640whp stock bottom end with stock trw fordged pistons. The 351 isn't much heavier than a 302 and with a completely stock long block has no problem making 800 to the wheel. You chebbie guys talk alot of shit.

A good engine because they have a small bore. They need a good water pump and because you have extra heat via the jimmy then you need to give more expansion room for the coolant. Tap the rear water passages and run the hoses to the expansion tank. Ideally run the waterless coolant by either Liquid Engineering (Aussie) or Evans(Yank). Notice the uneven temp on the dyno of the headers this is telling you that the temp is uneven in the cylinders. A good water pump impeller will make all the difference and the best people to talk to is bennettclayton engines.

Only once they got rods did they go higher in my experience and even then it was usually something else that would go wrong at 6500 like a snapped rocker or the stock carby was starving it. That's why we went with the Holley carb, was always the go to for fixing that, along with a Holley blue pump. 👍 We just never reveed them above 7000 apart from my mates one who just gave ZERO f**ks about anything breaking as he had some rich parent dosh for rebuilds, lucky bastard. 😂🤣

@@3800TURBO yes I know I said 600hp because that's what this setup made. The LS would probably do that on 6-7 PSI

I think he wanted to be different to 90% of the burnout cars in Australia. Mainly LS motors and chevs, Let the man be different.

@@nicholasdanielmalone I'm not stopping him from being different. Just the whole premise of this being a budget setup gets thrown out the window when you have a mega dollar valvetrain

Yeah I'm over seeing chevs all the time too (especially the mexican LS, thier like A holes) , lucky this is one is an Australian Holden engine. 😂It would turn my head if it had a turbo'ed capri v6 in this rig though.
